  1. What are peoples thoughts on the Dunlop FM901's ? My Falken ZE502's are starting to wear and i'll need new tyres sometime in the next few months (or -want- them for the drags). The Dunlop FM901's everyone seems to say are a decent tyre. Are their any tyres that really do stand out for "spirited driving" that aren't semi-slicks and cost under $300 a tyre? So far I have quotes of $264ea fitted from Bob Jane T-Marts or $239 + Fitting from Beaurepairs. (is that expensive? I haven't -really- started to look that seriously yet).
  2. /me curses his Falken ZE502's 225/50/16's
  3. Street: 2000rpm and dump it. Drag Strip: N/A
  4. I'm out too unless the price is something silly. My tyres are more worn than my brakes will ever be so ima put the money towards a new set of Dunlops.
  5. Wish I could take my steering wheel off and take a closer look at it. Everytime that I turn my wheel more than about 90 degree's its like their is a loose bolt or something inside and it feels from the bottom to the top then as i turn my wheel back it falls from the top back down to the bottom again and it really annoys me.
  6. A dumb question.... but if you are wheel spinning when launching @ 4,000rpm why would you then increase that to 7,000rpm which (as i thought) would just increase wheel spin. Thats the reason why whenever I launch its only around 1,700-2,000rpm coz any higher and it just murders the rear tyres (and i could just imagine how long my tyres would last at 5,000rpm).
  7. Fill it up until to spills out the side.
  8. Alittle off topic but anyhow.... For the people with traction issues, apparently the Dunlop FM901's are fairly decent. I got a quote today from my local Bob Jane T-Marts @ $265/tyre (Includes fitting and balanced). Not sure if this is expensive or not (sounds it to me for a stock size) but yeah....

  11. You won't need to hiflow your turbo to get into the 13.5's
  12. My mechanic changed the oil for me. Basically you fill it until it starts dripping out the side. Mine was probably around the 3.5L mark.
  13. Forget launching at 3,500rpm. If I launch @ 2,000rpm my car just wheelspins and then drives off, If I launch at 2,500rpm with a full car load - (200+ kg's extra over the back wheels) it sits and spins even more. I find giving it about 1,500-1,700rpm works best for me (but then again my tyres are sh1t). Go grab yourself a fuel regulator and an exhaust cam gear and give it some more tuning and you'll crack the 13's.
  14. Give it an easy 1000km+ before you make up your final decision on the Redline Oil. For the first few days I was like "mannn i paid $100 for this stuff".... but now 5000+ km on and its the best $100 I've spent on my car.
  15. Those are a nice list of mods you have there I need to get my fuel regulator fitted and a new set of tyres before i go to the EC Drag Strip.

  19. I can't even find them anywhere
  20. Now that my Daikin Clutch has bedded in perfect i've been throwing around the gears much quicker over the last few weeks just practicing. If you want to do quicker gear changes -regardless- of what technique you use the first thing you need to do is get some Redline Oil. This stuff is smoother than an 18yr old chick with a razor.
  21. being the FM901's ?
  22. CRD in Silverwater Unsure of the contact details but do a search and you will fine them. http://www.redlineoil.com.au/reseller-loca...cations.asp#nsw
  23. <-- The line starts over here boys (and girls) :69:
  24. Axle Tramp :devil2: x100000 I put in 2 brand new Koni Adjustable Shocks only about a month ago and it reduced it by about 75%, i've already got DrDrift's pineapples installed and its still bloody pissing me off. The rear tyres are pretty warn (some crappy Falken tyres) so after I put some decent FM901's or -something- on in a month or 3 if my axle tramp hasn't been 95% fixed im gonna screeeeeam (Not sure whatelse I can do) !!!!
