  1. Email -all- your pics from tonight to [email protected] and i will add them to http://skylines.pnc.com.au Sadly my pics didnt turn out at all, dunno if it was the settings of my CyberShot or just me not knowing how to use it properly ... i think i'll stick to daytime photo's. Awesome night guys was fantastic to actually meet the people behind the nicknames. Everyone was -really- friendly which i totally didn't expect. Would be great do it all again afew times throughout the holidays.
  2. ahhh finally i have a location, hopefully i'll be there tonight whoooo
  3. Just wondering if anyone is meeting up or what the hangout points are ?
  4. Website Updated: 11 Cars 1 Event (Dyno Day) 179 Pictures Thanks to Eric Brendan Still got about 25 pics to add of various cars Keep it up boys. http://skylines.pnc.com.au
  5. How often should this be changed ?
  6. Can anyone list -everything- that is done in a major service ? Everytihng from oil change to the mechanics scratching themselves ? I've only done 64,000km but im just interested to know.
  7. Merli can u post in detail your car mods pls ?
  8. ahh damnit when did they start stocking that ? I looked in there about a week before i bought Castrol Magnatec from AutoOne. for like $27. My last 1 was 10,500km ouch!
  9. I feel safer sitting in 5th @ 190km/h with no traffic around on the motorway then i do when driving in 2nd doing 50 in peak hour traffic coming to work. no movement the only noises are the wind resistance engine purring at about 5,000rpm brrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmm
  10. Just so that you know... Penrith Panthers Leagues club has jelly wrestling on every wednesday night from 8:30pm-10pm. The chix have been getting better and its always a good night.
  11. While sort of on the topic of top speeds.... Whats the longest u guys actually drive on the speed limiter for ? I think im doing about 4,500rpm @ 190km/h @ 7psi in 5th Gear and its pulling as hard as 2nd gear would. I've driven mine about 5km before backing off, but now that i have done an oil change (after exactly 10,000km on the old oil) i'm alittle more confident that it can take it easier. The ride is dead smooth and you can -literally- take your hands of the wheel and just sit back and relax. (while watching the fuel level drop like a $2 hooker on a Saturday night).
  12. Interesting... my driverside door has afew rattles when i shut it but my window is actually broken (motor busted i think - known R33 issue), i might take the trim off -again- and check out those bolts. (I've seen em but just didnt think that this could be the problem).
  13. I got told it was about 25% My R33 GTS-T is 192rwkw @ 12psi which i was told is -about- 240kw at the flywheel. On the dyno just before me was a brand new V8 Ute (255kw) which cranked out 196rwkw, so i was very happy.
  14. damn gauges are expensive just for a little thing. I'd rather get the entire dash replaced with something nice.... oh thats right i do. I wanna get 3 small gauges for above my MP3 Player. What should i get ? (Novice) Boost ? ?
  15. Whats this stuff cost and where do i apply it ? (Pics)
  16. Jimmy can u get me the exact specs of all the fluids u used ? I want my baby purring (it already does but i just want it to purr for longer)
  17. Ok i did it all by myself and it was a piece of piss. Took me about 30mins and i got alittle dirty but it was fun. Can't really tell if its made any immediate difference, i think it might feel alittle smoother going up thru the gears at high revs but that may also be coz i havent been on turbo for afew days coz of the rain. I want to change the Transmission Oil now (something REALLY good). I've had afew noises appear in 2nd gear in the last 4 days and i was hoping it was just because the engine oil had done 10,000km but after changing the oil the noise is still their now and then. (maybe 3x a day for 1sec each). Where do i check/change the transmission Oil of a 5sp manual ??

    Wet Weather

Exactly.... I've gone from a N/A 50kw FWD car to a Turbo 192rwkw RWD Car. The last time their was a light shower of rain (enuff to wet the roads but not enuff for wipers) it brought all the dirt and oil to the surface and some 90 degree corners i literally slid out just turning them (w/o accelleration). I'd love to go to a track day even just to do 5-10 laps so i can work out the limits of the steering. My old FWD car as u all would expect wasn't the best at cornering so im very cautious with the skyline. :burnout:
  19. Well yesterday was the first day of full wet weather driving for me in my car since ive had it. (Almost 3mths) I think in the future i might just walk/ride to work (5km). Driving my old car i knew the limits of how hard i could push before wheels would slide and brakes would lockup. In this car (R33 GTS-T) I dont. * 90 Degree corners are near impossible under any accelleration. * My mats get dirty * Pedals are slippery and squeaky (can anyone recommend a good set of legal pedals for rubber soled shoes?) On a good note, i cant use turbo or drive fast so im saving heaps of fuel.
  20. If i take that 1 component to an auto electrician will he beable to hook up something to find the fault? or would he need my entire door/car etc to beable to find the fault ?
  21. I took my door apart again on the weekend. The board that is attached to the switches i believe is the culprit, all other buttons work fine except for the driver side door. I cant seem to take apart those 2 green electical boards tho, i've taken a screw out but can't seem to unlatch the other half of it. If i post a pic of it can anybody tell me exactly which section i need to be paying particular attention to ? Their were about 10 dirty solders but i scratched them off with my finger and the solder underneath looks fine to me although i can't see all of the electical board for the above reasons. Any help would be great, im a driver that needs a constant air flow so my aircon is copping a hammering lately
  22. This is amazing, i had a problem with my front left headlight and thinking it was just 1 of those niggling little things with a 7yr old car i just gave it a whack for the 3 or 4 times that it stopped working. The last time i whacked it i must have done it some good coz it hasn't stuffed up since. Then i come on here and its a common problem. SAU rocks.
  23. I had an almost identical problem (rattling in the back like someone left a spanner in the boot). I took it to Pedders Suspension and for $14 they did a 28 point safety check (taking particular attention to the bushes/etc). They said everything was 100% and the bushes were ok, only suggestion they had for the noise was coz my suspension is all adjustable they thought their may have been abit of movement. But if there is some sort of grease/paste i can use on it to remove the noise then i might go back their and get them to investigate. What do i need ?
  24. I went to AutoOne yesterday and asked afew guys down there, they rang Castrol, Pennzoil and another store and they all recommended the 'Castrol Magnatec' (same as what a mate uses and was told to use in his Skyline). It only cost me $26 (5L) but looking at the other high performance Oils they were all like $70-80 (5L). I haven't changed it yet but is this oil ok or should i exchange it for something different? (I honestly have no idea just gone by what u all said on here and the guys at the store said). ??
