  1. Here are a couple of videos I took with my GoPro HD. First time I used it as I only got the memory card the day before. The sound is weird on some because I had to keep changing to the waterproof casing because of the damn rain. Thought I would run out of battery or memory so didn't have the quality turned right up but I think they do the job. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4XNWtAxkQ4
  2. I've been towing my 1200kg car+trailer abit lately with my brand new Holden Ute SS-V and love it. I put the cruise control on the speed limit and it sits on it the whole way everywhere I go. When on a flat road it switches the v8 into 4 cylinder mode and I can do 6L/100km whilst towing.
  3. I reckon! Now where the hell am I gonna find another 10secs to cut off my laptimes, that's a second per corner
  4. GoPro HD Motorsports - check
  5. Dont need a photo for a cams license - well atleast i didnt...
  6. Trying to mount my fire ext, absolutely nowhere to mount it and broken 2 drill bits at my first 2 attempts
  7. Raincoat
  8. Been ages since I updated this so.... Splurged abit of money over the past week because I attended the CircuitClub Wakefield Park trackday on Australia day however ran out of time to set it all up so will have to test it next trackday. A set of new secondhand Yokohama Avon tyres. I use the Formula Ford size tyre but this time I grabbed 4x rear tyres which are and inch taller and wider than what i've previously used (the front tyres from a Formula Ford). They have easily 50% tread and cost me $200 for the set. RaceLogic Performance Box for all my timing needs. Haven't been able to play with it yet because I didn't realise it needed permanent power, thought it would have an internal battery so will have to get it wired into my car. It has sooo many options I get lost just even reading the manual, however just from playing with the device here at home I think the actual screen size should be larger, gonna be hard to read the numbers whilst doing 200kmh. Picked this up for $515. Also bought a GoPro HD Motorsports. Seen this camera probably a year ago but it always had pathetic sound however from what I have read this new High Def model (1080p @ 30fps) supposedly fixes that problem along with some other new features. Comes with a handful of small connectors and mounting pads however on my first test video tonight (just to the shops n back at dusk) I still had issues getting it to sit at the angle I wanted so just need some more practice with it. I'll grab the rollbar mounting accessory and also a spare battery (2.5hrs recording time for each battery). In 720p mode it requires about 100mb per minute of video so it's quite heavy on the 16gb SDHC memory card I got for it (wanted a 32gb but nobody local had stock). All up it cost me $460 with the 16gb memory card. Next was some CAM's stickers from ebay. I'm too lazy to make this stuff myself and been busy with work so it's way easier to just hand over the cash and pick it up at the post office the following day. At first glance im not even sure they will fit on my side windows haha. Total cost was about $45 On my list now is a window net + fittings, a larger oil cooler and alluminium intake and also new windows to replace the scratched set I currently have.
  9. Remember the SATCC round where Dick Johnson spun at the kink on the first lap and evolved from the massive cloud of dust with no boot hatch on his Sierra?
  10. As much as I want to do EC badly I think it's too pricey - also I haven't got headlights for my car yet
  11. That black supra with the external gate sounded wicked at full song down the main straight!!
  12. I had an awesome day! Fitted taller/wider semi's to my little pocket car on saturday but didn't realise I would have clearance issues, guard was rubbing just under accellerating from pit lane in the first session so came in and wound the ride height up about 20mm which fixed it for the day. I was pretty slow early on (ok all day!) as it's only the 4th time i've actually been in the car but as I learnt to trust the tyres and the brakes I just kept pushing harder n harder each session. The harder I pushed the better the tyres gripped and my brakes just kept stopping me as I braked deeper and deeper. My oil temps were 130-145c all day long but the little 1200cc 20yo engine just kept going Not sure who it was in the r33 gtst that told me to brake deeper but it was you that spun off the track 5 times in 3 laps and missed almost every apex on the track and I let you past twice so maybe it's you that needs to actually use the brakes and not tell me to brake later - just a tip The Circuit Club team certainly were organised, i'll be attending many of their events I think
  13. Well my trailer is loaded, just gotta throw some tools + fuel in the back of the ute and im ready to go. Hoping for 1:14's or better
  14. Google Maps Meet at the carpark on the corner of Eastern Rd and Warawara Cct (its a TAFE so you will go through a main gate and over some speed humps). The section of runway we use is the light grey area.
  15. I'll wait until the January Texi is over first before entering this 1
  16. I see teeth marks...
  17. Still abit of uncertainty as to if this day is going ahead, looks like around 25/45 have paid.
  18. 35 of 55 spots taken so far.
  19. EC has lots of great viewing spots, 2 or 3 spots around the track give some great angles of multiple corners.
  20. Bit of a frustrating day all round really, waiting up to 1.5hrs just to do 3 laps is something I will never ever participate in.
  21. Scrap metal companies will buy it all up.
  22. OneHD or Foxtel will be the only options.
  23. I want the toilet block mmm yeah good buy!
  24. I get up at 3.50am for work everyday, Sunday will be a sleep in
