As others have already said this was probably my fav car of the day and seeing as though you were in my group all I got to see of it was either you overtaking me down the straight or you spinning off multiple times infront of me at turn 1-2. Actually from memory you gave me a wave when I gave you room coming out of the last corner onto the main straight and then I waved you back as you spun off at turn 2 and I went back past Why people bother with RB's when you can throw a v8 in a skyline is beyond me.

Thanks to the organisers for another great day, whilst the driver briefing was extremely painful the way the sessions were kept to time was well run. Once again my little car didn't like starting in the cold, but once we clutch started it the rest of the day was faultless. The tyres were fine, brakes were strong and the engine didnt miss an rpm all day. I understand now why so many people are angry that Oran Park is being bulldozed. The track is extremely unique with nearly every turn having some form of camber and up or down slope making it quite interesting for my little car being so light. I started off quite slow in the first session and got quicker as my balls grew bigger. More time in the seat and a fresh set of rubber and i'll push harder again.

That's quite good for the price.

Do we have a watering hole meetup location for after the day? It'll be a friday night so not like everyone will have to rush back to Sydney for work the following day like the Wakefield sunday trackdays....

It's called a dozen guys stripping and rebuilding a motor in 1-2hrs in the dark. I seriously do not understand why teams dont build 3 motors back at the workshop in the week before each event (they all have atleast 3 engines worth of parts). Take a day to build each engine 100% correctly, then at the track after each pass just unbolt the used motor and bolt in the next fresh motor, rinse and repeat. I've seen them do it when they severely break some components they just roll another bottom end out of the trailer on a trolley and hoist it in. But no they all want to be hero's and do all the work infront of people under pressure whilst trying to go faster and faster each time its no wonder that most cars would be lucky to finish every second pass and its no wonder fans get extremely frustrated paying top dollar for a category that barely gets off the ground let alone actually finishes on time.

Although he did a faster time in his first 4 laps of the session than what Webber did in 16 laps so he isn't short of speed

What I meant was if ur going to all that trouble putting a car on a hoist and making templates etc etc an extra few hours and u could have the entire car done underneath.

Damnit.... brake lights, side mirrors and a windscreen wiper still to be fitted

Waste of time doing just that front section if you aren't going to do the rest of the car...

The way this thread is going the tow car is going to cost more than what its actually towing.

I dont have those clearance lights either Neil, infact that trailer looks 99.9% identical to my trailer (I wonder if UniqueTrailers made that and sent it up as they send a truck load up every week).
