  1. Bring back refueling Bring back unlimited engines/gearboxes Ban team radio Let the quickest driver/car win each race
  2. Also to add, I was around Huntingwood-Arndell Park-Eastern Creek between 4-6pm and not a single cop car seen and also nobody was using the Huntingwood Industrial area to "meetup" like we all thought however I expect that for the next meeting everyone will be getting there much earlier and much closer.
  3. It's 6.9km from the GWH (Shell Servo) all the way to the entry location and then all the way down to the Horsley Drive set of traffic lights (which is where the cars were backed up to as I tried to enter from both sides), so at roughly 10 metres per car thats another ~690 cars waiting outside at approx 8pm. Next time, charge $30 per vehicle for entry, park the rest free along Ferrers Rd or in the paddock where you park to attend the drag racing and make them walk in the dark.
  4. I think some of them have too much weed, hence their cars...
  5. Attempted to enter around 8pm, lined all the way back to the Shell at the GWH and all the way down to the lights at The Horsley Drive with dozens and dozens more cars on there way (as I did a u-turn and drove home). I wonder how many VIP tickets were sold and also how many VIP ticket holders won't even get inside.
  6. With a 5pm start to the race....and the looming weather....could be a fairly dark finish!
  7. 2 weeks to go.... do we have an entry list up yet?
  8. This company was on display at the Sydney Top Gear Festival... http://www.f1grandprixtours.com.au/
  9. It's going to need to be well sorted. The Audi, Ferrari, Merc and Porsche cars have been around for a while and they simply work!
  10. Ebay.......picked it up from the Mardi Gra after parties more like it
  11. Don't know what time i'll be there, I work in the area but may have to unload my truck back at liverpool, say may not be there until 9pm. That's ok though, the "red ssv utes with real motors" parking area wont have many cars in it
  12. The only difference between the VIP + regular tickets is that some of the VIP's will get to park on the asphalt and some on the grass area like the regular entry tickets
  13. Sorry but im out, it's an hour in the wrong direction for me and wouldn't get there until 8pm anyway. Someone else is better off taking my spot.
  14. no its empty because no warehouses have driveways on that stretch of road.
  15. Don't forget it is an industrial area, most streets are full of employee's cars and semi-trailers until after 5pm (im usually there until 6pm loading pallets). However 1 street that is never full is Healey Circuit (the eastern end, at the corner of Huntingwood Drive, which is directly opposite Rocket Industries).

  17. It was the first test day of totally new cars, hardly anything to go by.
  18. I can see parking being a complete nightmare......100's of cars arriving at close intervals all wanting to be parked next to friends cars but those spots are already taken by other cars. The best way to do it efficiently would be for the organisers to just have a line each for different manufacturers (honda, nissan, mazda, toyota and red ss-v holden utes). Also using some quick maths, even if cars were parked closely like at a Westfields.....the entire drag paddock area will be used including all the grass area around the corner (which has very minimal lighting)
  19. Was an alright morning of track time. Took about 45mins just to get from the GWH to the parking area and i'm very surprised that it is free (even a gold coin donation for a local charity would be good). 888 - pretty calm, apart from the redbull livery you wouldn't think it was any different to 2012. Erebus - look and sound amazing, they have a very different sound to the Holden/Fords and from a distance actually sound like a superbike riding around, under heavy downshifting they sound hot!! Kellys - Well it has a Nissan badge....ugly looking frontend had an engine problem coming out of the last corner and the crowd cheered. BJR - Fastest laps of the morning, probably just actually doing more of a fast lap than actually doing testing so wouldn't take much notice of it. HRT - same as 888 just rolling around doing laps, no real different to 2012. Plenty of cars and transporters without livery (guessing they havent secured sponsors because it doesn't take long to vinyl wrap a transporter). I'm very surprised that almost no 2013 merchandise was available (nissan had a small stand, bought a shirt and cap) but the other teams were just hocking off last years stuff. Teams really need to step up on the merchandise and corporate type area of the pit paddock like the F1/Nascar series do.
  20. Yes it is, but hey everyone's cars are legal right so what is the issue?
  21. rofl at all the v8 supercar haters that now all of a sudden show an interest because a couple of the cars have a nissan badge and motor
  22. I posted up pics of it back on page 20
