  1. Don't call or email, mechanics aren't exactly 'people persons' or 'nerds' they are greasey spanner throwing mechanics. Visit them in person and take your car and they will be totally different people.
  2. I watched 30 laps from the streaming, went to bed then got up at 3:50am and watched another 15 laps then went to work for 2hrs then came home and watched the remaining few laps then went back to work Another race where track position is king.
  3. If RBR don't get points in this GP i'll be shocked.
  4. Same for me, watch the pre-race stuff to get all the background gossip then switch off and watch the race after work Mondays (get up at 3:50am). It's usually smooth right up until a minute or 3 before the race starts, that's when everyone logs on to watch.
  5. Nah no idea, I don't stream the race anyway because the link usually can't keep up with the load. Long as I can watch the quali live instead of at 3am im happy.
  6. Probably the most well behaved cruise i've ever been on, no burnouts, no speeding and no attention from the police and for someone that travelled 300km for this cruise it was worth it.

  8. If this is not the 'original' car and is simply Malcolm's 'vision' on what the 'original' car 'may' have looked like, how can it be worth any more than a clean '93 GTS-t?
  9. Qualifying started on streaming...
  10. No that is incorrect, the ACCC said: "The ACCC says its snapshot study showed that Coles Express was the first to raise prices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide yesterday." That means that Shell could be doing the weekly price hike of 12-16c/L at say 1pm where as all the other brands are doing it at 2pm - it doesnt mean that Shell are selling at a higher price than other brands, they are just bumping the price BEFORE others.
  11. Shell offer 4c/L via Coles Groceries BP offer 5% via Credit Card Mobil offer 4c/L via instore purchase Caltex offer 4c/L via Woolies Groceries United Petroleum don't offer any discounts Shell, BP, Mobil, Caltex all raise prices in Sydney at midday every Wednesday by 12-16c/L FACT! United Petroleum raise prices only once per week FACT! I fail to see what the problem is?
  12. I'm entering the Hiace, soon as the LPG, cruise control and dvd screen are fitted i'll fill in the rego forms - just need a couple of drivers? Won't have to stop for tyres or brakes just a couple of tanks of LPG and maybe an aircon regas to keep cabin temps icy cold I guarantee I won't come last!
  13. Why don't you just get a custom exhaust made that is legal by using the correct design and components rather than having to constantly illegally adjust your exhaust note?
  14. The ACCC are a fk'n joke, they don't even understand fuel prices so they just point out 1 brand to make it appear to the public that they are actually doing something about the prices. Coles are not the first brand to raise prices, it totally depends on the area. Generally speaking in my area (Penrith and Blue Mountains) Caltex is the first brand to raise prices, but considering that 10 of my 18 local servo's are Caltex brand (6 brands in total) that's to be expected. The Caltex with no immediate competition raise prices hours earlier than the Caltex servo's that are competiting directly with another brand (ie across the road). For the people whinging about long queues on tight ass Tuesday why don't you get your fuel on the way to work and beat the rush instead of at 6pm on the way home like every other knob.
  15. Get standard 1.1 plugs after fitting the splitfires and a touchup tune will be needed to get maximum power but not a full retune.
  16. I hear this often however I bought an X-Force GTS-t cat-back couple of years ago that did not fit on my GTR - not even close.
  17. Once a year in my work van. Then again it's an auto, it does 85,000km/year and usually has 700-900kg in the back whilst being driven hard 8hrs/day non-stop.
  18. I first r32 came with a jap cat-back that just had a rear oval canon and was so loud I couldn't drive at the same speed for longer than a minute on the motorway without ruining my ears due to the drone. Dropped my car into 'Penrith City Exhausts' and got Eddie to make a new custom cat-back with a centre and rear magnaflow oval mufflers. Not only was the drone completely gone, but it was no longer illegal and he managed to mount it about 2 inches higher so it wouldn't scrape like the jap exhaust did. All up it cost me $1000 drive away and was very good quality.
  19. Any damage to the actual firewall itself (or can you not see it yet?)
  20. If anyone enjoys drag racing at the 1/4 this is the best money you will ever spend and I highly recommend them.
  21. There are 100's of shops that can rebuild an engine for u, but finding a shop that really know an RB engine is more difficult (and you pay the money for it).
  22. Yes because the police love a driver that has a cat bypass pipe fitted, say hello to a $10k fine. Adjustable cam gears would probably be the cheapest, easiest mod for now.
  23. Nope, ripped out the old and threw in the new - stops so much better with new ultimates than used ebc greens
  24. I bought some Bendix Ultimate pads ($99) and Motul RBF600 fluid ($35) yesterday and fitted the pads in my garage after work. Put the wheels back on and checked it all over then realised I forgot to bleed the brakes. Took it for a drive and it doesn't even need bleeding, pedal feels great! Now... if only I remembered to fit those backing plates to stop the low speed squeal
  25. Just watched the GP2 Spanish race, more action and tyre rubbing in that in 1 lap than an entire F1 race - quite fun to watch, think i'll follow the entire season.
