  1. Plenty of 98 in the penrith area. Was down at the Megalong Valley Tearooms today (had a delivery for them) and they advised that somebody call and make a booking with them so that they have enough staff/food. Its normally run by just 1 chick. Edit: Oh and most of the road down the twisties has been resurfaced, so heeeaps of loose rocks about.
  2. Steve give 'Gordon Leven Tyres' a call (they are at Emu Plains 5mins from Penrith) I was out there yesterday looking, from memory 245/40/17's were $390ish and 265/35/18's were $490ish (go up to 315/18's for 11inch rim) and the slicks were 250/17 at $490ish. They also get used R's from all the NSW events from $80ish which will give you a couple of events worth of usage.
  3. I've got a delivery to do down there tomorrow, had it today but put it off coz its annoying going down there for work grr
  4. As mentioned above Hamilton had bugger all traction, his strategy is what killed him (well apart from the pitstop problem) running Soft-Soft-Hard instead of what Webber did Hard-Hard-Soft.

    98 Ron

I don't use 95 but for 98 you must be driving around blind or they've been filling their tanks with 91 and my pfc knock sensor isn't picking up on it. Within 5km of me: Caltex Glenmore Park = 98 BP Mulgoa Rd = 98 Mobil/Quix Mulgoa Rd = 98 Caltex Correen Ave = 98 BP Correen Ave = 98 Caltex Glenbrook = 98 Within 15km of me: Mobil Blaxland = 98 BP Valley Heights = 98 Those are servo's that i've actually filled up with on 98 and that's about 1/3 of the servo's available to me that offer 98.

    98 Ron

Apart from the Shell Optimax fiasco i've never had a problem anywhere in the Western Suburbs getting any other brand of 98 from any servo at any time.
  7. Pity you are you Vic as I have pretty much everything.
  8. Yup I watch the qual on the itv link coz I can't be bothered waited for Ch10's cut version at midnight but the race I watch delayed on ch10 (arghhhh ch10 commentators piss off!!). Easy work by Kimi and was in control the entire race, Massa had a brain fart. Bad luck for Hamilton with the pitstop, think he should have used 2x hard and 1x soft tyres instead of the other way around which certainly cost him 3rd place. Webber did well to hold up Hamilton for as long as he could, still wasnt fast enough for anything better than 7th though which is disappointing considering Hamilton was behind him for more than half the race and Massa went out early. Should have been a solid 5th with DC in the points as well.
  9. Giant: Any chance of some pictures of your setup?
  10. Nice work, was planning on coming out in the arvo to spectate but then it started raining here so I stayed in.
  11. That's the ITV UK feed that is a free stream to UK residents only however someone has obviously set it up to stream via a proxy so that anyone can access it. Be better if it was about 25% better quality/bitrate but yes it certainly beats waiting until 2am tonight to watch ch10's cutdown version.
  12. Watch the qualifying now... http://itv-80.vo.llnwd.net/d1/broadband/f1...castPlayer.html
  13. Taking the whole front bumper off would be more of a pain in the ass to do then just removing/replacing the front lip with the front bumper on the car. Just jack the front of the car up, put stands under it then lay on your back and remove the 15 bolts that hold on the lip.
  14. Give Kevin a call at 'Specialised Brake and Clutch' at Penrith 0296730988.
  15. 2.5hrs till P1
  16. Pics of the Nismo suspension please and do you know how much lower than standard?
  17. Do the v8 clubs have as many issues as the turbo clubs do? Because WSID staff are quite anti-turbo imo.
  18. 1) Go to your local gearbox specialist mechanic, he would have boxes and boxes of spares for you. 2) Buy new high tensile from your local bolt specialist.
  19. For the next GP i'd like to see Webber start from the back of the grid and start 30sec after everyone else does. Atleast that way he will get 2 laps completed before being hit by someone.
  20. In all honesty the 'truck stop' isn't a good idea as it's generally busy with you guessed it - trucks. The Red Rooster (no kfc) is pretty much entirely empty 24/7 and is a much better parking lot to meet at.
  21. Still better than parking it in the pits all afternoon. Too get points he has to be 'classified' (90% of total race distance) so he never would have got any points (would have needed to complete atleast 52 laps and he would have finished 50 at most). But still finishing 10th or so is better than finishing 17th.
  22. Was bound to happen, remove TC and watch the drivers actually drive the cars. You could hear on corner exit some drivers spinning the rears and it made for an expected exciting race. I wonder if Webbers car was damaged enough to remove it from the GP or if the team just decided not to go back out on track. Had he gone back out on track he probably would have finished in the top 10.
  23. I don't understand why this weekend is a non-championship event what a complete waste of time for the teams, how is it any different to other meetings? Their is only 1 meeting in the entire year that should be a non-championship event and that's Bathurst!!
  24. Nice work, u've just taken a nice clean drivable car and turned it into a car you can't even get into your own driveway let alone around comfortable on public roads.
  25. Which is what should have happened at EC last weekend. Unfortunately HRT's biggest weakness is when the green flag drops.
