You will find that people will take notice of the new GTR, won't be able to afford it but will then look at the rest of Nissans range where as in the past they wouldnt have even considered Nissan and just gone with their typical VW in europe of Chev in America.

Wow I really need to change the globes in my cluster and gauges.

Hopefully Nissan are making a decent profit from the GTR so they can afford to be alittle more crazy in the coming years for other car models.

Both Tander and Murphy had bad days considering they had good pace.

Well a pretty good day I think, considering how damn hot the weather was and how slow the racing was. First run on 20psi was a 10.5sec, then back into the pits for a quick plug change then back out for a 10.3sec and then i think it was 3 runs of 10 flats. The rear end didn't seem to hookup as well as it normally does and kept spinning the rears on launch (losing a solid tenth or 2 on 60's). Nothing broken and no problems so I think it was a successful day (and I know the Ignition DVD boys have fun). I'll let Paul post the pics/video's when he gets home

Well I might have upgraded from the van this time around.... Now have a 4.5T truck with a carpet pantech easily capable of holding me + 20 women in the back stacked ontop of each other!

I'm doing the water pump + timing belt + bearings + gaskets on my daily gtr in the next week or so. To do some of the gaskets u have to remove the cam gears so I thought if I can find a cheap set of adjustable gears i'll get them fitted at the same time. AusPost delivered a cheap set to me today for only $110

It was 324awkw with unhealthy coil packs. I only ran 113mph, altho never had a clean pass. I didn't have any problems running that power level on a stock motor because I knew the tune was good and the engine never missed a beat.

It's probably the biggest turn-off going 26/30 conversion.

I used to run it on about 1 bar just for daily driving and only on 1.5bar at the drags, their was simply just no need for the extra psi when a speed limit is required. The tuning was done by CRD about 6mths before I bought the car and I then got a quick 5min touchup done about 6mths after I got the car and the knock level was never over 30 even on 1.5bar during 40c heat running absolutely as hard as it would go. Tuning is where you need to spend the money. The reason I said i'd go a T04Z is they will do high 300's without too much trouble where as 2530's you really have to push everything.

It's little wonder why some people pay so much for a "100,000km service". The above is just regular 'do at home' weekend stuff, not major service requirments. Along with brake pads, rotors, aircon regas, wiper blades, replacing globes, fresh diff and gearbox oil etc etc, do all that when it needs doing not just because your speedo has suddenly clicked over "100,000".
