    Gtr Crash

I don't know him but im guessing he has never been to WSID before in his life (no idea where the water/burnout is, no idea where to stage and no idea how sticky the track is), has just recently bought the car and decided to show his mates what the car is capable of. Unfortunately the concrete barrier showed him who is boss and he didn't get a time card for it...
  2. They don't have enough spare engines Druncan.
  3. Damn that sucks. Oh but don't worry Longhurst and Seton are sure to do well.... (have either of them ever finished an endurance race?)

    Gtr Crash

He appeared to have a problem with his right foot.... it stayed on the floor!

    Gtr Crash

Hate to say it but this tool deserved what he got.... Before even entering the water area he was bouncing off the limiter for easily 10sec, then the official says oi u arent even in the water so he drives straight through the water and gives it another bounce off the limiter just incase he forget where the redline was. Then he throws it in reverse to backup to the water but realises its 4wd so wouldnt do a burnout anyway so heads towards the line. Stops a full car length short and bounces on the limiter again ready for the green light. Starter official motions him forward and he rolls straight past the line, then reverses back and slowly rolls forward again whilst sitting on the limiter again. The starter did his usual pissed off start by not waiting until both cars were set (gtr was still rolling) and soon as the 2nd pre-stage light is up he hits the button and the gtr driver decides to let the clutch out. Does a few left to rights and throws on too much opposite lock, front wheels bite and send him sideways towards the opponents wall (whom would have been shitting himself as much as the gtr driver) and takes out his rear end. No not even 4wd will save dickheads.
  6. You guys are all too fussy, im happy to take whatever is left over
  7. Is their a way to improve the quality/reception of the front windscreen antenna ?
  8. The fun and business end of the season
  9. If somebody found a shop that would custom make them at a reasonable price and we did a groupbuy I think they would sell like hotcakes..
  10. 1x spectator, can't wait :D
  11. Yes it's off. I've spent 2.5hrs working on my other car already so it hasn't been a total waste of a day.
  12. Woke up to a blue sky, sun is out, road and driveway are dry and no wind.... maybe they called it off too early, then again still plenty of time to rain yet.
  13. Probably a good idea to state what year model car it is for because the R32 has a couple of different designs at the bottom of the belt where it attaches to the side rails.
  14. I'd never paint the exterior of a car, but the interior or an old shitbox gemini sure.
  15. You spend a week rubbing it back and try again....
  16. Bring your case to my place Dave I have about 10hrs of labour left on the interior of my car
  17. It almost certainly won't be on because the weather is just too unpredictable. As I said to Paul on the phone this arvo if their is 1 shower in the morning then nothing it will be on but if its rain/clear/rain/clear on and off all morning don't even bother.
  18. Exactly what work has been done to the block and by whom?
  19. I'm still hesitant about spraying the interior/enginebay/boot of my car myself in the garage. It would cost me approx $70 but im more worried about the finish and the extensive sanding required to get a good finish. Then again I have been quoted over $1000 by a few professionals to do the work and its only the interior of a circuit car so maybe it's worth giving it a go since i've been priming it myself already.
  20. You will only need 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of black. The key is not to rush it and try and totally cover the wing in 1 coat as the paint will go on too thick and you will get bubbles. If you have access to a spray gun it will make things easier as the aerosol cans are quite hard to get a nice even coat (ie it will come out either very thick or not thick enuff). The biggest problem will be trying to match the paint colour.
  21. No need, im a spectator at WSID these days... limited myself to just eating hotdogs, not as expensive but just as deadly as exploding flywheels
  22. Any interior pics available? I was told to set aside a solid $2k to get a 6 point cage fitted which appears to be a reasonable price.

  24. I'm happy to give it a run for you if you want, forget about the fact that my last time on track cost me over $15k it's all about having fun and getting that timeslip right...
