    Deca Wind Up

hahaha... I think they may be more than 1 KFC incident happening here... we were there before midnight giving them a hard time. but yes, as everyone said, thankyou very much to all those who organised this was my first deca and taco bill outing and I had an awesome weekend!!! but my hands still smell like coolant. thanks to everyone that helped with my radiator, glad I could drive home at least...
  9. yeah, you might find if you look on some engine bay cleaning threads that people have flooded the cam covers and stopped it sparking for a while... Just leave it overnight and let it dry... hopefully it should fix your problem.
  10. Hey darren, have you actually opened up the dash yet? My hot/cold heater flap is completely disconnect (i found it like that) and I've noticed that the flap it'self is quite heavy. What happens under hard acceleration, is that the weight of the flap is pushed back, so that the hot air comes through the vents.. Most likely it will stay like that until you break hard, in which case the flap will close again.
  11. OK, can someone clear up a few things for me? correct me if I'm wrong: 1. I thought that polish takes away a tiny bit of the clear coat.. sort of like a really weak cut. Therefore if you polish everyday/week eventually, you will have no paint? 2. Likewise, I have thought that wax adds and seals up the clearcoat. So instead of taking a layer of and reavling fresh shiny paint, it adds to it. Therefore, you can wax, whenever the hell you feel like it. 3. How does clay go about taking the contaminents out of the paint? From a quick read of one of the links I was under the impression that it "sucks" or absorbs it.... What I'm saying is, will clay take any paint with it similiar to a cut/polish??? and will excessive use cause damage to the paint/clearcoat?
  12. Hi guys, I've searched, and others have asked this before me with no answer so I shall ask again. Does anybody have the wiring diagrams for the climate control unit and all thats connected to it? Sensors ect ect??? Also, has anybody had to deal with cleaning/replacing the evaporators from the r32? I've opened up my box and the evaporator looks completely shagged. I was wondering if anyone may know of an evaporator from a local car that may fit (for ease of finding a new one), or even if they are interchangeable bettween the 33's and 34's. I had a look at a few of the catalouges.. and the ones that look closest in appearence (haven't checked dimensions at this stage), are from the n15 pulsar and the r31... but they are differnet too...
  13. with the tools I have the powersteering is a long and frustrating experience... I've always had to take out the IC pipe as well but then the PS lines still get in the way of my ratchet.. I think that a small mini ratchet would be ideal in this case, except I don't have one... so i just use the ring spanner to crack or get tighty tight, then stick a 12mil socket on the end and either pushing or pulling on the pump (to ease your turning ability) tighten or loosen the bolt with your fingeres... If that makes any sense at all.
  14. haha what a funny thread... how bout taking his wheels altogether and leave his car on bricks....
  15. I'm not sure of the actual pulley itself, but you can tighten the entire pump if needbe. Do this at your own risk, as I'm unsure of the outcome in this particular case. There's three bolts... 2 of them are a pain in the ass to get to. 1. is behind the crank pulley.. theres a hole in the pulley which will allow you to get the bolt.. so keep cranking the engine until you can get your 14mil socket in there.. just losen it up.. don't take the entire bolt out. 2. Is a the six 0 clock position to the pump... and the bolt screms in towards the north south direction of the car.. Is 12 mil... again it's hard to get to just losen this up. 3. This one is at probably the 5 or 4 o'clocl position.. relative to the pump.. it's a long bolt that head in the east/west direction.. this is the bolt that actually does the tightening/loosening the other two just hold them in place. Tighten the bolt (12mil) to tighten the belt... loosen the bolt to losen.. sounds simple but you'll have to probably remove some of the intake piping to get to it.. and maybe break your arm/wrist in the process.....
  16. that looks like a very clean 33 you have there. Welcome to SAU-vic and I hope you enjoy your stay

  23. in this thread is the only place I have heard of people not having trouble with those stickers. The way I did mine, after I realized that they wanted to stick to the back sheet not the front, was peel it really really really really slowly, and when a letter starts to stick to the back get under the corner of it with a fingernail while you have as much of the two sheets on the letter as possible.. if that makes sense.. I suppose pictures paint a thousand words...
  24. why would you care tako?
  25. fine. HCU. You knew what we meant
