yeah, I got a high pitched whistling sound when I was on boost... It was because when I took the intake pipes off I forgot to tighten the BOV bolts before I put them back on.. So air was leaking..

who evers fault it was, someone just loss their pride and joy. I would be pretty upset too.

oh hang on my bad.. I didn't read the topic properly.. its the side mirrors... I was talking about the big rear view mirror inside the cabin... I'm not sure if it would be part of compliance.... because all the commodores have "objects in the mirror are closer than they appear" eg: convex.. and if it's on commodores I would be assuming that it's ADR complied.... mind you, that's only on the passenger side, not so sure about the drivers side..... The side mirrors on my r32 look quite flat actually (being complied recently) so maybe they do change them..

I think the front bar looks good on that model...

if your still looking into a fresh import, make sure that the compliance was done pretty recently (at least in Victoria), because the compliance certificate is only valid for a month after it was issued. Otherwise you'll have to have it re-engineered...

yeah, changing to flat mirrors is part of compliance...

no... forget anything you ever heard about the '15 year rule'.. it's done and finished now. NOW, there is the pre 1989 rule.. eg anycar made before 1989 is eligable for import. If you want to import a car that is made during or after 1989, then you must go through the specialist and enthusiast vechile shceme (SEVS) and have your car complied by a RAWS. I've never heard of boostimports, so I can't comment on them. I imported through J-spec imports www.j-spec.com.au and was happy with their service.

There are 4 entries for RB20, non turbo and turbo included (r31 and r32?), they all have the z145A.. there's 4 RB25 entries... two of them have oil filters listed: one of them is the z145A (same as the RB20 and RB26) and another which is the z442... So I don't understand why there would be 2 seperate oil filters for r33's... but it looks the filters are the same for the 32's

Do you have a passenger air con vent? What about the rocker cover gasket? Or would you rather sell the engine whole? Are you selling the rotors too? THanks
