  1. Hey mate, are these still for sale? Could you tell me what kind of rotors they are?
  2. thanks mark here's the picture of the badge, it's pretty crude as it was taken with the point and shoot camera just when the sun was going down. Here's some more recent pics of the car, which still aren't that good.. so I will have to get some more: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=83941 Heres the thread which shows all the factory options, including the gold badges http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=48934.
  3. Thanks for the kind comments guys, I'm getting temporary rego tommorow so I'll be able to take her for a spin for the first time!
  4. nice photos .. The two white 33's look great together. Pity one of them looks odd with a stealth wing Can't wait for a ride in your car Kris
  5. it's not really country, all the blocks around here are still smallish.. takes less than 40 mintues to get into the city
  6. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahahahahah thanks mark!... err that 'guy' isn't me.. it's my Dad... and you better watch out or he'll kung fu your ass... only joking.. well it's all finished and buffed up now looks pretty shiny, but when you get up close you get to see all the minor imperfections which tend to show up with black paint (sigh).. but looks a fair bit better in those photos.. You can sure see how only the boot lid was waxed at the time that rear photo was taken. *cough* excuse that commonwhore in the background.... thanks for coming over today Mark.. the "everybody polish Rylan's car" was great fun. :) Now onto rego..
  7. hmm so will the very minor oil leak at the back of my engine bay pass? What about the fact that there is no belt running from the crank to the compressor? The tyres and seat belts are fine..
  8. ah cool thanks. I have the car in my driveway now (yay!) and I had the sunroof checked out by my compliancer. It's just that the switch was a little rooted.. so it opens and dosn't close. Should be an easy fix...
  9. shes in my driveway now!!!!!!!!!!! I had a little trouble booting her up, but with a little persitance from dads car we got there in the end. I managed to take her up the street so I could park it in the driveway. It's amazing, the handling is SO light! It's too dark for pics now, but I will work on it tommorow. There is a minor electrical problem with the sunroof, it opens but dosn't close, the guy at the compliance shop showed me. I'll just have to replace the switch so it isn't too bad.
  10. Try GD Jap Imports in Knox. They seem to have a few bits for imports they might be able to help. 74 Parkhurst Drive Knoxville. 98000646 0411187655 hope this helps.
  11. pics!! What kind of frontbar does this feature come on?
  12. Have you got the workshop manuals? These come in very handy with this type of thing.. The problem with leaving it to the mechanics is that they can take a while to do so can be pretty costly. I spose the worse case scenario would be to have the cam timing wrong so that the valves come down when the pistons come up.. this is called crowning I think. But the workshop manual shows you where all the markings and stuff are so if you follow that you *should* be ok..
  13. pretty sure that he has them custom fabricated, read about in speed. I'll try and dig up the details tonight for you.
  14. Hey Loz, how did you end going with the sunroof?... My car has come in with a note from the supplier that the S/R "is not good". The seals don't look too bad, so I'm thinking it's something worse...
  15. Ok, went to see my baby at the compliance workshop yesterday, heres the therad with the details: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...1entry1510651 but here are the photos (pretty crap - battery was very very low on digi camera):
  16. Thanks for the kind comments. shippings + customs cost me $2600 approx. I found out that S/R stands for sunroof. So something is wrong with the sunroof that I didn't know about previously . Hopefully it will be easy to fix....
  17. that r34 is mint. not a speck of dirt to be seen. Droooooooool
  18. yeah the only problem is the personal importing buso, you have to own the car for at least 12 months, so if you just bought it then you will have a lot of waiting to do before you can import it. Unless there is some way you can get around it by getting the previous owner to import for you and then you buy it locally or something like that.. probably won't work. I don't know what else you can do except kick the ass of your 'friend'...
  19. Ok here we go: This one is a pic taken of the HICAS ECU underneath the parcel shelf. Also has a cool looking thing (hoping its an amp) that says "cadence" Who know what "BB" stands for? :) :D
  20. ok ok ok... I am the HAPPIEST person in the world. I saw her for the first time today!!! Went down to the compliance shop this arvo and I just couldn't wipe the grin off my face!!!! I brought a digi camera but I only got a couple of shots off before the bloody thing died. So the few photo's I have a SHIT. ok.. well it seems to be in pretty good nick, its a little dirty, but that was expected as it has been doing alot of sitting around... so the good things. Well my turbo timer is still there and wasn't stolen, I have the gold GT badges (factory option), what looks like a 3 inch cat back exhaust. I also think I have a cadence amp, I tried to take a pic of it, but it turned out a little blurry. The sunroof seal looks like its in pretty good condition too. the bad things (only semi bad). The parkers work but the headlights don't, the compliance dude said he would have a look at them for me. The back speakers have been taken out of the parcel shelf. The battery is pretty flat. Theres a few bulbs that aren't working in the dash. I booted her up and she sounds SOOOO nice, possibly the best sound in the world (hearing it for the first time). Was having a look at some of the papers inside on the floor, with some of the notes from the supplier, one of them said: "S/R not good". Does anyone know what this is? Overall I'm really really happy, I just can't wait to drive it! I'll post up the shitty pics in a sec.
  21. you need to include the costs of import duty and GST. Import duty is 10% of the cost that you paid for it in the US. And GST is 10% of the cost of the car in the US, the cost of shipping and the import duty added together.
  22. there is another kind of seal up stuff. It's a solid that you break up and chuck into your radiator.. how it works.. im pretty sure that it sort of dissolves, runs through your engine and then solidifies somehow when it gets to the leak, which seals up the gaps..
  23. I will have to get RWC before I get my car registered (import coming very very soon).. what sort of things do I need to take care of apart from having good tyres?
  24. ah yes of course, and it's a much higher frequency becasue it's all spinning much faster than in reverse.
  25. some kind of interferance with radio's... ungrounded cables?.. alternator whine?..
