for the zed, use the rb mounts, shorten them so the engine doesnt hit the bonnet. The sump has to be modified, (im just going with a fabricated one) as it hits the crossmember. other than that its a nice cosy fit Ok, So going with an RB25 turbo? what about the vg30? Thanks guys

Hi guys, I'm currently swapping an r32 gts-t RB20DET (68000kms) into my '71 datsun 240z. Mods: 600x400 i/c 3 inch zorst with dump pipe, hi-flowcat, wolf 3d ver. 4 The car weighs 1100kgs What turbo do you guys think would be ideal for my setup, it's going to be a daily driver but i want to get some power down to the ground. Thanks for the info mate, what do you tihnk of the rims? I'm not sure. I might go with something abit old school instead. The engines in now, and should be wired up in the next couple of weeks... from there I'm going to put the interior in and it should be all set! But then again, i thought it was going to be finished in december...

What do you guys think of putting these rims on my '71 datsun 240z? its' got an RB20det nearly installed into it, thought some skyline rims look pretty neat. Any opinions? Also how much would I be looking at for a set, and how hard would this be. This is my car. Thanks guys

Hi all, Been ringing around today for a quote on an exhaust system for my 240z w/ RB20DET. Prices varied from $440 to $2000... Genie: $500 Cypher Industries. quoted: twin dump $485 hi-flow cat $330 or 2nd hand $125 Cat-back $535-550 with two resonators Muffler $220 added upto $1585 for a 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent mild steel, tig welded What do you guys think? any other places I should look at? Just bought an RB20DET engine package with 40,000 true kms, with an auto gearbox. But I want a manual, they're solution was to swap an R33 GTS gearbox onto the rb20 engine. My question is, are these exactly the same gearboxes? and if not will the rb25 non turbo box be strong enough for my rb20. If all is well it should be in my Z by the end of the week

ok 1. didn't get a fine or anything.. i have to go to court, cos of the speed i was going. 2. driving record bad... dd last year, couple of minor offences, lost mayb 3 points? 3. good clear road conditions 4. no road works were going on at all.. sunday morning at 6:45.. its stupid!!! 5. don't have either cos he didn't give me anything. just told me what was going to happen 6. i've got between 10-12 weeks before I go to caught. apparently, we'll see 7. this sucks so much balls

Hi all, Driving back from work at 6:30am, up the freeway towards the city... Through the roadworks i was 'apparently' going 110 km/h which had just gone down to the 60 zone... Basically I'm ****ed I'm on my P plates and driving my crappy '71 beetle. The cop comes up behind me on his bike with lights flashing... pulls me over and tells me the great news... Is there anything I can do? He has no evidence over than his word that he kept up with me and recorded the speed limit present. I don't even think my car can go that fast. the speedo's in miles an hour. Is there anything I can do? I have 2 jobs, and have/will spent around $10k on my datsun 240z in the very near future.. putting the rb20det into it. I can't imagine spending this much money and not being able to drive it.. life is ****ed atm. any advice ?? thanks guys, Sean
