  1. put the pressure gun onto the actuator and test it like paul said to do. Check the reading. if the actuator rod moves within the specified pressure reading, then I would probably run the vac line directly to the actuator and take the controller out of the loop. If it runs fine like this, then either the controller is bad, or it's been plumbed incorrectly. First take it to 110 but as I would like to know what happens there too.
  2. Hey guys, I am going back to stock gtr re-circulation valves on my rb30dett. Extra deck height of the 30 always add's that extra element of fun to the task. Prefer a Brisbane/Gold Coast seller please. Anyway I am chasing both of the smaller air pipes for the front and rear turbos that carry the bov air back into the turbos inlet. The front turbo uses a 90 degree bend type which goes into the metal inlet part of the front turbo, and the rubber air piping of the rear turbo. I have added a pic and circled what I am chasing as my explanation skills are just so incredibly easy to understand. PM me if you have either or both! Cheers.
  3. As per title looking for 2x oil drains from a set of gtr turbos. These bolt onto the underneath of each turbo. If you have a set please PM me, can pickup anywhere in Brisbane. Cheers.
  4. Isn't it behind the passenger side kick panel where the ecu is? This is where the eccs relay is as well I think. Might be thinking of 33 but. I actually wired my own like that, relay - relay - new wiring - pump Has been fine so far, pump seeing 14v. It's an 044 as well in a 32 gtr.

  6. I think what he has done to the fuel system is perfectly fine. The fuel system is usually the last thing people look at after doing other mods, then when the pump runs out of legs on the dyno you loose the tune and start all over again. You honestly think he would have made 270kw with hi-flows running a standard pump? I don't think so. My personal pref is to prep it for turbo's first and get all the other stuff out of the way, ie fuel system, ign, exhaust. Then all you have to do is change turbos and not worry about using them to there full potential. Changing the dumps it's not stupid, if your staying twins and not upgrading turbos straight away then you simply bolt them back up to the new turbos later on down the track. Don't go de-cat either, go a hi flow. I won't call you stupid for telling him that but like you did me, but if you don't want to go over the pits and get fisted then go a hi flow.
  7. Add a front pipe + dumps onto the cat back and try again. Check cond of cat too. There are so many variables for why it may not be making power but. Could be dyno too but as mentioned.

  10. Hey guys, Posting up for a mate, he is now going a T04z and wants to move this on. Specs: Garrett gt3582 .82 rear housing T3 Flange .70 comp with 4" inlet External gate 4 bolt flange type Twin Ball Bearing cartridge The unit is 2 months old but unused. He bought it from MTQ here in Brisbane but his rb30det is still not finished so it was never used. Has not even been bolted to the manifold yet. He is chasing around the $1500 mark, but I believe he is negotiable within reason. Please don't contact me regarding the turbo, ring him on the below number for all questions.   11. Looks to me like a killer combo of: 1. Shit fuel (This is a contributor but I don't think would have been the overall cause) 2. Raised compression due to running the same cylinder head from before 3. A fuel setup that sounds questionable (What lift pump is it using as you mention both the walbro and 044 using a Y very close to the rail, so what's back in the tank?). Either way you can illiminate the walbro alltogether I think as it's just not a requirement, 044 intank should see you get there easy. 4. Listening for knock? I don't think so. Proper mircophones on the engine is what is usually required I doubt the microtech has anything much to do with this at all. I ran the shittiest mt8 with wasted spark on an rb25/30 combo and it ran fine with a nissan CAS. Injectors are also questionable, drop them and go for some nismo's or SARDS etc. I was running hi flowed JECS rb25 injectors for a bit, very nasty. Spray pattern ends up like a garden hose basically. (Yes I read the part where you got them flow tested, drop them anyway but) Hope you get it sorted but.

  13. Hey guys, I am wanting to go single with my r32 gtr so I wish to swap the following for a single setup. Happy to go cash your way on top depending on the setup/specs etc. 2x Nismo rr581 turbo's rebuilt 2x HKS r32 gtr exhaust manifolds 2x HKS dump pipes 2x Set oil/water lines to suit So yes all in excellent condition, I bought the turbo's off Steve on here, so he can vouch for the fact that they have been rebuilt. My car has been on the road twice with these turbos and that's it so there still both in excellent condition. Anyway PM me if your interested. Don't bother PM'ing me swaps for chinese shit, not interested. Garrett or equiv please. Cheers guys.
  14. I think the real question is, do you want to pay for another tune again after the 023 is installed. Increased rail pressure with the bosch will more than likely throw it all out again, esp running 700cc injectors.
  15. yeah this won't work. either run the rb20/25 afm's as 80mm or go z32 or nismo. I went and bought another 2 pods to suit the 80mm afm's on myn, then just had an exhaust shop do up a couple of 80mm-65mm reducers. All up including new filters, afm's, converters cost me $212.
  16. So the mechanic put it on the dyno when you took it back and it was leaning out straight away with a bad reg yes? and prior to this you where driving the car pretty hard? That's not a particularly good thing, especially on a new build. I would be very suprised if it has not sustained some sort of damage, misfire is probably caused by burnt plugs running on poor afr. Did he replace the plugs after the next run with the reg issue fixed? As others have mentioned I would be doing a leak down test straight away. I thought rb30 twin cam conv first too when you mentioned nothing on the dipstick lol.

  21. Ok the thing I want to know most is when turning the key to "ON" and letting it prime for 5 sec, should the rail hold 40psi before starting? Because right before cranking its sitting at 0. I need to know if this is a problem. I think I am incorrect in thinking this. Maybe its actually all OK. The factory GTR manual states it should be sitting at 40psi rail pressure on idle, which it is. But it's the prime I am concerned about. I get what your saying but and thanks for the reply.
  22. Hey guys, Car is a r32 gtr with rb30dett. Have an issue atm. Basically I installed an 044 intank, tomei fpr, and a pressure gauge after the fuel filter. What happens is when you turn the ign to the "on" position the pump will prime and you will see the pressure rise to 40psi, then go straight back down to 0 after prime. The car will start after 2-3 cranks then the idle pressure will sit at 40psi, revving will see it move slightly off 40psi but looks stable. Now I used the existing factory gtr check vavle on the 044 so I don't see this as being the problem but it may be, it is around the right way and I was pretty careful when installing. Am I right in assuming after switching to the ON position, it should prime then hold 40psi rail pressure waiting for crank yes? I am now going to chuck a factory r33 reg back on to see what happens. Does anyone have suggestions?
  23. yes 32 gts-t and r33 s1 are both the same green label, s2 is pink label. I am running dual s2 on myn have been great so far. both will work fine, only difference is the green label has an ecu ground and extra chassis ground, s2 is just ecu ground, 5v, signal.
