  3. Have a complete HICAS rear steering rack out of my 32 gtr. Is in excellent condition no leaks or anything. Get your gtr tail happy again at high speed just how it used to be lol. $150 but pm with offers. Cheers.
  4. Hey guys, Just wanted to know if anyone is running one of the jaycar air/fuel mixture displays in there gtr. I was looking specifically at CAT. NO. KC5300. But yeah I have nfi how to wire twin titania sensors in, and if they would even work. So yeah just wanted to know what brands people are running in there gtr's and if there happy. I could always rig up a single zirconia sensor further down the front pipe but its a bit of welding and shite. Cheers.
  5. Another thing to note is that some rb30 blocks do not have a machined flat surface where you need to install the idler. Depending on how you do the belt setup, if you drill and tap the tensioner above the water pump be sure to get one of the blocks with a flat surface for the idler, otherwise its a real pain. The blocks that don't have a flat surface have a protruding gallery here and when the idler is torqued it will sit off center. I think vl blocks all have this but some r31 skyline blocks do not.

I am running a rb30dett with 26 head and stock management, so I figured it would have been running slightly lean with the 444cc in it anyway, hence moving up another 100cc wouldn't be that bad. Meh should have known better, running ok with 444 and not with the nismo only really leaves you with one conclusion doesn't it. Got a SAFC on the way now so I can trim it down. Cheers all.
  8. Hey guys, I just wanted to know if it is possible to move to larger injectors on the standard ecu without any side effects to idle? A couple of stock gtr injectors were leaking from the bodies in my 30dett so I replaced them with new 555cc nismos, only now it seems to be over fueling. Has a lot of black smoke on idle. I assumed that the ecu would trim it down but automatically, I know it cant take advantage of them it terms of higher flow, but I thought the idle would stay pretty much the same. So yeah will an after market ecu be required to run them? is anyone running these on standard management ok? Cheers.
  9. just for future reference for anyone else doing this mod. rb26 and rb30 mounts are not the same. rb30 mounts from an r31 are different, and gts-t mounts are different again. rb26 gtr aluminum mounts must be used. Also the bonnet on just about any gtr will foul as we have found out. Must have cut mounts in myn. Cheers.
  10. Hey guys, Helping a mate out doing a rb30 conversion in his r32 gtr and having some probs. What have people done previously here just used the 26 mounts? Thats what we are trying to use. Someone else did the mounts for my car and I can't go and look at it to check atm cos its not here. Can someone just confirm what needs to be done 26 or 30 mounts? and does it have to be lowered?   12. Bad trader guys. Sold me the Nismo injectors listed in this ad as working and they were all seized except for 2. Would not refund money even after he told me he would when purchasing.
  13. They are Denso injectors. Spray pattern is actually very good when they are clean. I was previously running S5 550's in my 26/30. You can obtain the injector plugs off most toyota corolla's. As far as fitting in the rail goes, they do fit but the O rings are not interchangeable from your 20/26 injectors, the 20/26's run a slightly fatter O ring which will actually get the rx7 injector stuck in the rail if you use them despite that fact that you can get them on there. There also hi imp so remove the resistor pack if going into a GTR, and lastly make sure you have them cleaned and flow tested before fitting. Its not uncommon to get maybe 2-3 in a complete set that are seized.
  14. If its a silvertop ECCS head then water/oil and head studs will line up. The bore however is different so you will need to modify the combustion chamber to suit. I actually ran a 20 head on a 30 bottom end for a little while and modded the combustion chamber myself to suit. One thing you will have to do with the 25 block but is you will need to drill and tap the VVT gallery in the block and block it off. What you can do is rip off the old rb20 HG and use that as a template on the 25 block like I did. Pretty much shows you straight away what will go and what wont. But like I said, rb20 silvertop head from a r32, its basically mod the combustion chambers slightly and then block the VVT feed off.

  16. Got it was missing the start signal 12v live of the standard 31 loom. Started first time then but ran like shit, look like 2 of my rx7 injectors are still f**ked. I blame the rotor.
  17. yeah true that been told that they can gum up and there also shite. Problem is I am doing a 26/30 conversion so I dont have a spare set up GTR injectors laying around. I have the resistor pack so I might have to go grab some. One question tho someone may be able to answer, when cranking the motor should the red status LED on the ecu go out? When cranking the motor on myn the LED will go out, then come back on again when you have stopped cranking. I thought that was unusual. Cheers.
  18. Yeah cheers guys, rigged up a led test light last night, LED will flash strong when spinning the CAS and also whilst cranking. Just wont fire, keep checking spark and its good. So yeah dunno. I am running rx7 s5 550's in it with the resistor pack removed. Im starting to think that the GTR ecu even with the resistor pack removed is not capable or running high imp injectors. If that was the case but I would have expected a weak LED signal. But yeah all seems to be well, have checked all the ground pin-outs at the ECU and there all good.
  19. Hey peeps, Is anyone here successfully running high impedance injectors on there stock GTR ecu? Reason I ask is I am having some issues with my rx5 S5 550's. Have removed the resistor pack and re-wired but I have read around the place that the GTR ecu will still not run them due to changes needing to be made in the binary code. Just want to confirm if its been done, seems to be plenty of info about running low GTR injectors on the 20's etc but not much info the other way around.
  20. Hey guys, Wiring up a 26/30 into my r31. Now I wired up the 25/30 I had in there previously and it was sweet. I have the 26 loom all hooked up, the ign and ECCS relays switch on with reds on, fuel pump primes then switches off. Now the issue is that the injectors are not firing when cranking. If I take the CAS out and spin it I can hear the injectors firing fine. If I then put the CAS but in and crank the motor it will run very briefly until it runs out of fuel again. Spark is fine as it ignites the remaining fuel from when I spun the CAS. Does anyone have any ideas? Checked spark on cranking just to be sure and its sweet. So yeah running out of ideas, bloody injectors just wont fire when cranking. This is one of those things again which is hard to give advice on unless your right there infront of it but for those of you that have done this conv before thought it may be worth a shot. Edit: Read on Meggala's site but that he ran s5 rx7 injectors in his r33 with just the resistor pack removed so must be all good. Cheers.

  22. Hey guys, Have a wolf 3d v4 plug-in to suit a s14 sr20det. No re-wiring needed at all and has closed loop. Comes with ECU, cable for laptop, software, and box. Has a base tune on atm so you can plug it in and drive. $700 ono. Located in Brisbane. Cheers.
