  1. yeah so its like $770AU with freight on top of that. I wonder if you pay import on top of that again but. Probably not.
  2. Well yeah the studs in the S1 and S2 non neo motors are the same in the r33, the stagea should not be any different at all I would think.
  3. Comp will be high with 25de pistons, wont be an issue but. Had them in my rb30 sohc for quite a while and it went very well indeed, also work fine in a rb30de/t conv. Have the rings checked out, most are ok to use again if its out of a low ks motor, and if its low hp application then it should be fine.
  4. Hey guys, I have done a search already which answered a couple of my questions but I still want to know something. I recently took my rb25de head to southside head recos a macgregor along with my rb26 head as I wanted them to swap the valve springs over. I often do stuff myself but I didn't have a compressor and I prefered something like this to be done by a professional. Anway they rang me up and said the rb26 valve springs are too long on one side and wont fit. So I contacted performance wholesale who ordered a set of heavier rb25det springs in from Performance springs (that guy in North QLD) Anyway guy doing the head for me Tony called up and said that these valve springs are too long as well, he said that the valve coil size is what needs to change not the length. So is anyone running rb26 springs here? or performance springs? I just opted for the 26 springs as I had a spare set in this head and I thought some ppl had done this upgrade and it was fine. So whats your opinions?
  5. I had this same prob not long ago. I ended up making a T3 to T3 adaptor with the gate in it as already mentioned, but if you have no room thats not really an option. Just take it to a workshop and ask them to do it, you might pay like max $100, and then its done properly. I found this too which might be a good indication as to if you can DIY: http://www.lincolnelectric.com/knowledge/a...ironpreheat.asp
  6. Had a little go at this today with my day off work. Used rb25de injectors. Thanks very much for sharing this too disco really good info. I have 2x sets of rb25de injectors so I had a muck up go on my shit ones's and will do my existing ones better tomorrow. Here are some pics: Dremel action: Before: After:
  7. Negotiable on price at all?
  8. k cool I wont bother then. yeah I can measure them for you man. Its a r33 vct 25de head but not a 32. Yeah I would have used the 26 head but I am using it for something else anyway. Cheers.
  9. Hey guys, Just about finished building my second rb30det. My current setup I am using a rb25de head, I have a 26 head I am taking the valve springs out of today to swap into the 25 head so it doesnt valve float. Just wanted to know would it be worth swapping the rb26 cams in as well?, or just retain the stock rb25 cams with the 26 springs? What are peoples opions, its running aftermarket management obviously. Cheers.
  10. Hey guys, VG30 is sold, pics of bottom end and head coming for this weekend. Cheers.
  11. Its been fixed already, all you need to do is have the head faced before you put it on.
  12. Im in Browns Plains/Regence Park, Brisbane southside. Price drop on the complete bottom end guys $550 come and get it. Now thats pretty damn good as I just need the thing gone. Also head is now $400. The RB26 bottom end is fine, removed for a 3ltr conversion. I can get pics of the RB25 head if req, it just needs to be faced like you would prior to fitting any head. Cheers.
  13. Ok Sold to you 13thracer, pm me for pick-up details.
  14. As per title guys have the following I want to get rid off as its not required. VVT has been modded already to suit rb30 block with external feed. - $400 RB20 Silvertop turbo - no shaft play excellent condition - $150 RB26 bottom end complete minus 4wd sump 90,000k's- $550 (dis-assembled) Looking to sell some this weekend guys so I will listen to any offer you wish to make as all this stuff is no longer required. Cheers.
  15. Yeah I wouldnt go and get another workshop involved thats just stupid and asking for trouble come payment time for the new workshop, keep it between you and him as that is who it concerns. He heard a crack whilst putting the cams down ffs I mean that in itself tells you all you need to know. You have to confront him again and talk about it together, because legally he can simply lie and say it was detonation or whatever. You wont be able to win this without really good concreate evidence which you just dont have nor can you get it really, as much I know its probably obvious that he has caused this, legally he can wriggle out of it more than one way.
  16. Yeah it doesnt matter if it was just one, if the pistons were not left in the correct position then it could have only done the one. I would think he would be liable in this case, it has broken whilst he was fitting the cams so he has to be responsible for that.
  17. It wont be boost cut as he is having issues with idle. First thing I would is switch the ECU over to diagnosis and check for any error codes, the ecu will tell you exactly what has failed if anything. What condition is the rubber gasket in between the top and bottom half of the plennum? Any raise in boost can often bring gaskets prone to leaking out of the woodwork. Also check the air re-circulation valve. It sounds like an air leak but again Im only speculating.
  18. I personally don't know but surely a 5min call to nissan could reveal all?
  19. Im not entirely sure why you removed the intake manifold. All you need to do is take the valley cover off, remove coil packs then take each plug out as you test that cylinder.
  20. yeah ill take it pick-up saturday man. PM me your address. Cheers.
