Billionaire_Project replied to 51YDS's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Keep an eye out for holley's hydramat, sounds like a perfect surge issue control measure. -
Hey guys, a bit bored of the 33 dash, has anybody swaped dashes to say s15 or 350z or similar?

Good work on this, interested in how it all goes, I get a very choppy signal but believe it more to be with my ecu reading speed. -
R33 Rb25 Problems. Help
Billionaire_Project replied to Billionaire_Project's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
So it's fixed now, what was the cause? I don't know 100%. I believe it is a loom issue - dodgy wiring. Full mil spec loom will be built now. -

R33 Rb25 Problems. Help
Billionaire_Project replied to Billionaire_Project's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'll check the return line today, I'm finding so many things that are wrong with this car with all the wiring however it was running fine so they shouldn't be the culprit for this fault. The stupid car just has to last till christmas when the rebuild begins! -
R33 Rb25 Problems. Help
Billionaire_Project replied to Billionaire_Project's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
External fuel pump is definatley priming, I also believe the internal lift pump is operating (havent 100% confirmed, however external pump does not sound like it is cavitating) -
so my 33 S1 RB25DET isnt running, ran well turned it off and now it wont start. Checked CAS and replaced with spare. Have fuel and spark. Injectors Click, ignitors spark, when CAS spun. Have 12 Volts to coils. Have 0.04 volts into ignitor box and out of ignitor box. The car is not running a AFM, Stinger 4424 ecu. Any ideas?? Thanks guys

$250 for a standard or $650 for a Ross might just stick to standard unless someone can give me compelling reasons not to. -
What's everyone's recommendations for. 300rwk+ rb25det. Keep looking at the Ross ones but then it looks like you need the power steering pulley as well. Also the ATI ones, other than them the doesn't seem to be much out there. Any recommendations?

Rb25Det Engine Rebuild
Billionaire_Project replied to Billionaire_Project's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Will only deck the block if it needs it, can't see a reason to just deck it. More with the gasket porting is Exh, oil, water. The rb25 heads flow more then enough for what we require. However one of the engine builders recommend it so that's why I was asking here. Stock pump was trashed and picked up a new n1 for almost free, still looking at changing gears in them. Definitely fitting a crank collar. Yeah have spent the last couple of days reading that and plan to do sump vent, restrictors and possibly look at .cam cover baffles Yeah we were thinking of just staying stock, everyone says they are fine at that power but then this is also just ticking the boxes for later, we aren't really doing much headwork yet. That might come later, most probably will. Still tossing up going e85 so that will mean complete fuel system change. Also fairly happy to keep 540's in for the run in phase and if it becomes a problem upgrade then. Injectors aren't to bad to change after the fact, it's more bottom end we are focused on ATM.Internally gated ATM, not sure weather it's worth changing to externally gated, have to do more research. -
Hey guys, a mate and I are starting a rebuild on his 33. Last engine threw a rod via big end fail, 3 holes in the block and a severely damaged block drifting at QR. M Want some thoughts on this package, main goals are 300+ kW, it will be a drift/ street car but more drift, he does like to rev it quite hard. Specs now: 3076 turbs Wold 3d V500 540 injectors Front mount Stainless manifold Full 3 in exhaust Split fire coils Fuel pressure reg, surge tank Rebuild part list so far ( please give comments and thoughts, nothing is bought yet) All ports matched to gaskets N1 pump New water pump ARP main and head studs Cometic gaskets Cp pistons Eagle or Manley rods Tomei Poncams 256 Adj ex gear Baffled, and larger sump Oil cooler All ports will be gasket matched, oil return line and ports enlarged/ cleaned up. Crank balanced, all pistons & rod will be balanced. Block needs to be bored and honed, still unsure about wether it needs to be decked. Any othe suggestions? Cheers

Hey guys, new here sort of, not new to imports though. Owned sils, 180sx, and a 33. Bout time to buy another one. More interested in drifting these days. Have a rb25det to rebuild for a mate after a big end bolt fail while at QR. Been lurking for a couple of months, thought I would finally say hey. Bit about me, 29 yr old male that like walks on the beach, kissing in the rain and..... Oh wrong place. Nah, surfing, skating, snowboarding, drifting, building cars/ engines, photography, playing with carbon fibre/ fibreglass, helicopter mechanic by trade all round nice guy ummmmm yep that's me.
