  4. Hi, I'm after a MR30 (L24E 1/1985 ) Wiring Diagram, The diagram I have is not the same as whats appears to be in the car, when I look at the connector from the EFI to the relays / ignition etc, the picture I have has a 9 pin plug, and uses 6 wires ( see the picture 1 ), the car has a 8 pin plug and uses the 8 pins (like picture 2) any help would be welcome
  5. I'm after all the bits to get the engine running, ie, ECU, relays, wiring, fule pump, filters, regulator, if it uses one, manifolds, injectors etc.. thats why I was after a complet (engine wise) car, My plain was to strip the wiring from the R30, remake a wiring harnes, with only the EFI stuff, make sure it still runs, then move it all to my 240K Nigel
  6. Anyone ?, there must be one some where on the NorthWest ?
  7. I'm after a running R30 for wrecking, ( L24E ), I dont care about the body, or if the engine is worn out, but it must be running, Location, NorthWest, Tasmania, would be nice.
  8. Thanks for that, but i'm after a MR30 for wrecking , I'm not want to spend $1200 on a running registered car, since im only after the engine, and the bits to make it run.
  9. Bump, anyone got one ?
  10. Any One ?
  11. I'm after a running R30 for wrecking, ( L24E ), I dont care about the body, or if the engine is worn out, but it must be running, Location, NorthWest, Tasmania
  12. I will be after the whole car, that way I will know if the EFI is running, and it will make it easier to remove / install the computer / wiring / relays, etc..
  13. I'm wanting to set up EFI on my 240K, so I was planing on find a R30 (MR30 ? - 1982 -86 ?) for parts, my question are : Do all the R30 have 2.4 EFI, are there carburetor versions ?, are there 4 cylcnder versions ?, are there Turbo versions ? thanks for any information you can give me. Nigel
  14. Correct, thats what i read later, cooling the injectors
  15. Thanks for every ones help, I pulled it apart, here are some pics.. http://noddle.customer.netspace.net.au/My 240K/MR30 Dizzy/
  16. My vacuum advance is dead and I need to pull the dizzy apart to get to the screw holding the arm on the "advance plate", I need a schematic of how it all fits together, also can these still be brought new ?, and if so how much ? Thank Nigel
  17. the electric fan motor on the air intake.. http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=802&cat=530
  18. Cool, sound like you know your stuff..
  19. Why not use the auto gear changer and select the gear you want, I take it for dragging or similar, pull it back to low (first), change to second, change to third etc.. when you run out of reves. Cheap as chickens..
  20. If I got my hands on a L24E (R30 engine ?) and put the Electronic Injection on a L28, would this be a better option than a straight L24E ? I’m after a little more power but not wanting to reduce my fuel economy by to much.
  21. You are right, it is a "E30" Head, thats what you get when looking in the dark with a torch.. You mentioned a N42 head, (I have one of these, with the injector cut into the intake port, on an old tired L28) will this fit on my L24 and Is it worth putting on it if it does fit ?
  22. No One have any these details i'm after ?
  23. My 240K has a E80 Head on it, and I was after some information on it specs, Valve Size, Inlet / Exhaust , Combustion Chamber CC Thanks for your time.
  24. Correct the placement of the wheel cylinder (stopping pin, or what ever it’s called) does make a difference, The way he explained it to me was, The leading shoe is the one that pushed against the pin when the break is applied, in this picture the right shoe would try to rotate anti-clockwise and push against the pin, leading shoe.
  25. Correct, But after talking to an automotive teacher where I work, the leading shoe is the right hand shoe, so the shoes are the wrong way around, leading right side, trailing left side. these pictures are for the left brake, forward direction is anti-clock wise
