crap, it does sound like my synchros then . Its fine when I'm moving and the been driving for a while, but only when I am stopped at lights or just starting the car in the morning. But I only get crunches into 1st and changing from first to 2nd sometimes... ok, how much is a new GTR gearbox?

I have a gearchange problem but mine I think is the selectors in the gearbox because I don't get a crunch, its just very hard to push into gear and sometimes won't go in at all. I have to jerk it back forth into 3rd and 4th for a bit to make the shifter 'free up' a bit before engaging 1st or reverse....is this a similar problem to ant's? Does syncros = selectors?

The latter retains the HICAS system and stops it operating EDIT: one other thing the R32 GTR HICAS system, unlike the R33's and onwards which are electronically controlled, is hydrolically controlled, so i have no idea what turning the car off and on again would do....but it seems to affect yours somehow. Something that amazed me was that my HICAS light is now off, almost perminantly, after installing wheel spacers. Also, I have no idea whether this would work or not but you could loosen the wheel nuts and tighten them again making sure to do them up in a cross-ways fashion so the wheel sits as straight as possible on the brake. There may be a slight pull to one side if one of the bolts on either wheel was done up completely before tightening the next one and so on. ..Sorry, I'll shut up now

Theres a little black sensor that will probably siy under the dash somewhere, its not the main control unit and it will have a small red LED on it. Thats the shock sensor and to adjust sensitivity theres a phillips head screw driver hole on it.... hope that helps, but being and 8 year old alarm it could be different

Wow, they are some nice brakes.... I got DBA4000's fitted to my car not long ago and i have to say they are much better than my old, warped brakes. They werent standard R32 GTR brakes I dint think because the were cross drilled. These look so poor compared to those AP's and Brembos

I took the cheater way out and got a loan, but I am repaying it easily enough. I could pay more per month if I wanted... I see this R32 GTR is up for sale AGAIN, it was up at Prestige a few months ago, maybe a year. Low k's, Ferrari drivers seat, clean engine bay, I wonder why its so cheap

Yep mine has ABS, but at the moment its playing up a bit I think, unless its just a seal coz I get a squeal from the pedal whe ni brake....

More... I usually get the people on the freeway that leave a decent gap between them and the car in front and them accelerate to hold their posistion Some people are so uncurtious its just not funny. I saw a taxi driver try to pull in front of a 4WD once, there was just enough gap for him but the 4WD driver was right on the arse of the car in front. The taxi driver opened his door, I think to get out and have a word to the 4WD owner. Then the car in front of the 4WD pulled out of the lane and the taxi got in front anyway...... Curtosy is a big problem in peak traffic
