Damn! I posted here to revive the thread and missed the 10 pages of posts because it took me a week to get back here I'm still keen for a meet up, there's some massive carparks, more or less deserted by night, free BBQ's and oh yes the beach along the coastline at Clontarf beach could be a good place for a meet?

Reviving this thread, I'm on the Redcliffe Penninsula, Keen to take out the Ceffy and meet the fellow like minded locals. It's sitting in the garage gathering dust eager for me to earn more cash for it to eat

Jimmay! You're back for more Nissan power!

G'day Glen, been ages! Still got a Ceffie I see! I've still got mine and it does the same, I just have to give it a little touch on the gas, and I see the volts Jump up and she's off - I don't know whether it's a bad alternator or bad battery, packs... but it'll happen every time I cold start - warm start is no issue. I'm gonna try new coils, as the battery seems okay it's just the initial sparks don't seem to by flyin in the engine It's been a loong time since I've hit the track - mines more of a daily although Im trying to avoid driving while it's falling apart - I bought a house so the ceffie comes second now in the money pit scheme, Hope your well mate!

I was about to post just that dan, After much frustration I ended up: Front seats as far forward as possible My back againts the front seat back, knees pushing rear seat back Jam a crowbar right next to the hook and POP! Worked for both sides!~ Cheers!

LOL Mate I hear ya there! Many'er thing has almost been thrown across the garage, I have my 8 week old puppy watching my every move who thinks it's just hillarious when I crack the shits, then he tries to jump in the car or eat any item I have evicted from the vehicle at high speed. Last time I did it was 5 years ago and I don't remember it being such a bastard! I thought maybe Im doing it in the wrong order but my memory said that the seat had to come off before the backrest, I was fultilely trying to push the "hooks" back with a big screwdriver, I'll follow your lead this morning! CHeers!

Hey does anyone know how to unhook the rear seats in a cefiro? I've searched for threads and searched google but can't find any answers, you guys all have cefiro's anyone done it? Cheers!

Cheers, I'll ask round the local shops here, I visited QLD transport once and waited aaaages! The car was imported with non standard engine, box, suspension, diff, seat, etc so I figure it will need one!

Hey, Having just moved here from Sydney I have engineering Certs, but I need to get my car re registered up here and I have the paperwork from the QLD transport and it speaks of Mod plates...? I have had a look around the forums and couldn't find much, does anyone here have them? I assume I need to get them from engineers or do mechanics do them? How modified does the car have to be to warrant them? I live in redcliffe so it's a short trip to the city if need be but can someone point me in the right direction. Cheers!!!

Hey, I'm Dave, I moved up to Redcliffe just recently as we wanted a bit of a sea change from Sydney. I have a black cefiro which has been my drift pig for the last 6 years but over the last year she's been converted back to a sensible road going machine - well sorta sensible. I don't really know anybody up here so say hello if you see me around! PS I saw a Black on Yellow Cefiro in margate/clontarf looked nice at least from the drive by perspective

Keen as mustard, Especially for a rear bar, I have an autech currently but someone hit my rear bar in a parking lot so I am after a new one if willing to ship

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...p;#entry3347173 I have two diffs, both from cefiro's - both R200's one is a Viscous LSD with the Sensor plug, the other is a cusco 2 way LSD. If you want an LSD you just change the whole diff, OR rip it out, strip it down and bolt the LSD centre to the crown wheel and reassemble. Be careful with torque settings on reassembly - you're best off getting a professional to rebuild it for you.

Got R200 Short Nose Diffs?

Got R200 Short Nose Diffs?
BasketCase replied to BasketCase's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey Guys, I'm pretty certain 32's do use R200 short nose diffs, and the 2 way is a Cusco. Same diffs as in 200's and 180's -
Got R200 Short Nose Diffs?

Guys and Girls I am selling off my car, so the spares have to go too. I bought the Viscous to turn my car into a daily driver, but I have since got rid of the car with its current diff. The viscous has never been driven in my car it came from a friends near stock cefiro, the viscous LSD centre is in perfect condition as are the crown and pinion. $400 neg. I bought the 2 way as a centre only, got it put in a spare housing I had, the centre has never been driven on and is a complete diff I kept as a spare. $700 neg. Both look like this - except the 2way doesn't have the speed sensor plug. Call me on 0405 284 659 for any questions -
No, just the whole diff Sorry.

I have an R200 Diff (the one with the speed sensor plug at the end) Excellent condition, Viscous Centre that's still toight Like a toiger!!! I run LSD's in mine and have this spare, I bought it as a daily driver then couldn't be assed putting it in... It came from a stock Cefiro. complete diff $400 Neg. Call me on 0405284659 for any questions, or PM me. Cheers Dave

Sorry I have been neglectful of the forum of late! The diff is from a Cefiro, Not mine, I bought it as a daily driver then realised It has the long nose and Mine are all short nose... Nuts to shortening taleshafts so I am selling it. Its 4:3 I am fairly certain, with 5 bolt outputs, I have never had it in my car, as explained above.

Sounds like a mechanical 1.5 or 2 way. They best way to test is A) Look at the diff centre and check for a shape like this: <> = Will equal a 2way You'll find what im talking about in the centre of this photo, its hard to see in the pic but its through the "holes" in the centre that the crown gear wraps around. Alternatively, when moving into a corner at reasonbly high revs say 4-5k, back the gas right off which will cause alot of negative torque through the drive. If the car shudders, its because the inside wheel is slowing due to the neg torque from the motor and the outside cornering wheel is being forced to slow by the diff locking it momentarily. This is what a 2 way is designed for in the case of coming off the gas really quickly rather than just one wheel locking and unbalancing the car both with lock in a 2 way. Thats why drifters can "lift off" drift with alot more control with a 2 way LSD just by coming off the throttle at the right time. Oh yeah, The reason if your in neutral, or on the clutch its quiet is mechanical LSD's are all based on torque, no torque no action = quiet. I sometimes find when I put a new centre in I just have to put the clutch right in to make tight turns, or when taking off while turning such as out of a street just control the torque with the clutch afterall thats what its there for. Its kinda hard to explain and I am hungover, but I hope this helps
