My cooler took a knock and there is a crack in the end tank - but I have fibreglassed it up for the time being - Its watertight so thats a start. My car was a RB20DE n/a - I know I have never had over heating issues, even after 10 laps of solid drifting the hottest it ever got was 95 -although the turbo and turbo manifold were well glowing. sky80: Youve got a plethora of spares, I'll see how I go locally for the rad - if I can't find one this morning I'll give you a call and trek down, Thanks!

My ceffy just copped a bit of a front ender, no bent panels just a broken front bar and a radiator that has some serious leakage, It wasn't actually hit and I can't see that anything pierced it - but it no longer holds water and the leak is somewhere in the bottom tank, I fill it in the bath and put some pressure on it and water just fills up flows out of the bottom tank... First question Is my front bar Autek? If so anyone know a good place to get another one? Thirdly, I have attached a pic of my radiator top is this a stock ceffie radiator or is it somthing else, I have an RB25 in my cef but I don't think their radiators fit so Im guessing it is a stock one. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Okay I said it wasn't that clunky at first - just wait till the oil gets hot She locks on the drop of a hat though so I like it! My former 2way was just as bad when I first got it - she's just gotta be worn in a bit. Cheers

Rubber Seal Around Chrome On Windows
BasketCase replied to Resin's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Resin I know exactly what you talking about and I want mine replaced too - Sorry I can't help but Im definatly interested in the same thing -
I beleive the centre is still fine, because me being me on the way home from the drift day heard the noise and trying to narrow it down to tail shaft/axles/diff I was still lighting up the rears on command in dually style. Wasn't till the noise got real bad a day later when I took it to a diff mechanic who said it was definatly the diff. I pulled it out yesterday and Lo there was the pinion stuffed. I called the diff mech and he told me that it would be cheaper just to buy a new diff rather than to buy new crown and pinion wheels. So the hunt has begun and I have found out how much meatier GTR rear ends is- I could buy - R33 GTRcradle, diff, axles, control arms, hubs everything in one hit for a tidy price off a wreck that I saw today and im wondering If I could do the GTR rear cradle conversion... probably too many headaches attached to that. different lengths in axles and things not to mention the chassis probably being a completely different shape...

Hey guys, my diff shat itself at the last drift day I went to... i'm now the proud owner of a pinion wheel tooth thats decided to detach itself and reside on the drain plug magnet. My ceff isn't exactly stock at the rear end and Im not entirely sure what diff im looking for as a replacement. where the tailshaft meets the diff is 4 stud and the two axles are 5 stud, they're not standard cefiro bits, and I found out today they're not GTR so I figure they're GTST stuff... now just to find a diff Otherwise, All the clutch packs appear to be in good order anyone know whether is cheaper to replace the crown and pinion wheels and rebuild? Cheers Dave

Hey I have a r32 5 stud conversion on my ceffy but the rotors are almost gone, and I think its time for some more stopping power So whats the go with rotor conversions is it easy to get the appropriate 'bridges' (i don't know the real term) for the calipers to sit correctly on larger rotors? I have no idea on the topic, so any help from you lads that have done any similar conversions would be much appreciated! -CC when I have all the know how and the bits, there will be pictures, then I'll have an article to post on Cefiroz.com.au Thanks

So are we going to do this folks??? I think we should. -
Wow I wish I had got into this earlier! Good read very interesting, I have been in japan a month, will be back on the 29th Aug, This place is great fun I have had the time of my life here and made good money at the same time! I love the place and really am fond of thee idea of living here for about a year just to learn the language and get into the culture more. Alot of the stuff you brought up rezz is definatly true, the STARING! I laughed my ass off when reading that post. So true. Im in Nagoya at Aichi world expo, I live with Aussies and party every night with aussies so I haven't really been able to get into the culture unfortunatly... Im starting to look for jobs here now, Like I said I would love to come back here work, live and get into the drift scene more - I have missed my drift ceffy at home and its killed me not to drive a 'real' car in over a month (a VAN is not a real car even if it does dorifto in the wet) Good Luck coming home Rezz And streeter I wanna become part of that life your leading!!! Drift 3-4 times a week! HELL YEAH! back home its every friday fortnight wich is still cool but still not enough -Dave B)

Great read fellas! I have been in Japan a month doin some tech work for the Aichi World expo, I don't speak the language I just know the common phrases, but I think I end up chatting to every gaigin I run into - except the ones at expo coz we all work there and its not such a novelty. I haven't made many japanese friends here either simply because I work with more than 100 other aussies here and there is ALWAYS a party going on somewhere and we pack out the vvenue we all go to. The thing I do love here is, If your alone watching a band or somthing, your never along for long... some curious japanese folk will come and chat to you trying to better their english.

BasketCase replied to CEF11E's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
In the next two weeks... damn... Im flyinmg to japan on sunday 14th and I won't be back till about the 1st. I need some dori time over there not to mention smuggling back some bits and pieces. But I do like the idea! -
Saw a dark green ceffy at oran parks initial drift day had for sale written on it. Any on on the forums. (if it wasn't dark green I apoligise, I had an argument with the guy I was with who said it was black but nuts to him im stickin to my guns, it WAS dark green) I also met the driver of the dark grey ceffy - sorry forgot ya name mate - i met too many people that day... I feel for ya too with the luck you had, very unlucky... How did your front rims fare? are they salvagable? Oh and the cooler? any damage? - I was too busy driftin most of the day to investigate Then I had my own problems starting when my alternator decided it only wants to put out 11v so the battery slowly drained and I couldn't turn the car off for the rest of the day unless I was prepard to push it off the line - stuff that.

Swaybar - whats standard thickness.
BasketCase replied to dangerous_daveo's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I was wondering about my swaybars too - mine are 30mm thick too and black - maybe the same, I was told it is definatly aftermarket because it clears the RB25 sump and is fatter than the standard. Still dunno what it is though theres no markings that stand out... -
sr20 -> cefiro what parts needed?
BasketCase replied to sky80's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I was sensing a little hostility towards Rb engines there... Great writeup anthony, just out of curiosity how long did the conversion take you? -
at the dyno day wasn't that cefiro's car? the white RB20 with a 2530, BBS rims ??? I thought it made almost 220rwkw
-
me too, I have an Rb25 in my cef and no troubles here!

Anyone going to Oran park tomorrow night?
BasketCase replied to replicate's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Oran was fun, apart from some rattly arse left rear suspension on the way home - me thinks I broke it. Also does anyone know how to tighten a handbrake, rear pads are fine but the handbrake no longer locks the rears which almost sent me into the kitty a few times last night. How was everyone elses night who turned up?? -
