  1. I got a "skylines suck" from a guy who knows jack about cars. He's standing in a parking lot saying out loud to himself "oooh, nice porsche". Don't get me wrong. Nothing against porsches, but why the **** are skylines so popular?

  5. My '97 R33 has a red 'S' badge on it too. I thinik it's probably the S in GTS, because on GTRs, there's the red R.
  6. GTS25t's come stock with about 185kw. With those mods you could be looking at perhaps 220kw?
  7. There are many types of skyline. It would be beneficial to collect some performance magazines (eg. High Performance Imports). Skylines -- also known as Godzillas -- are legendary performance cars. Above, aybee has mentioned the latest three types (and their engines in brackets). GTRs are the higher performance models. They range from $60-80,000 dollars whereas the GTS models are about $27-30,000. Find more information in magazines and perhaps Google will give you some info.
  8. The charcoal filter is a filter for the air conditioning. It just simply filters the air so it is pure. However, it can end up slightly changing the idling of the car. It's nothing to worry about. I have the same problem on my R33, but it's severity varies.
  9. If you've got an R33 especially, it's your charcoal filter. This is a very common problem and you don't have to worry about it much. Depending on the conditions it'll have its goood days and bad days. If you really wwant to reposition your charcoal filter, you'll have to use up a fair bit of money.
  10. With the funny idling while stopped at the lights, that's a fairly common problem with R33s. As for when you start up, it definitely shouldn't be staying around 400rpm. It would be wise to take this to a mechanic so that they can take a look at it in person. There might be a faulty air filter that literally suffocates the engine, or otherways there is a whole range of problems that could have this result.
