Aaron, that's exactly my problem right now, insurance prices skyrocket cos of some hailstorm on last xmas (my GTR was parked out and it wasn't affected at all!), what a joke. Go 3rd party fire n theft, it's pointless paying $2.7k for 10 grand car.

Momo, I once drove a Evo after I sold black 32, I doesn't find Evo that impressive, but I'd give it a second look since it's what 7-8 months since I last drove a GTR, thing could change.

Aaron, does Shannons offer trackday coverage? Cos I recall someone told me they offer one after I binned the 33 GTR (that's almost 2 years ago eek!), never gotten to ask them.

Popo isn't the reason, it's insurance. Although, both Evo and Scoob are $2k a year whereas XR6T is $1.2k a year along with BF F6, VE Commo SS (HSV's are $3k plus). Never had a problem with police with all the Skylines I've had, I guess I'm lucky...

Well, not that keen on paying $2k excess should the time comes to when I have to make an claim. And RACV doesn't list their 'market' value on the website so I looked through Redbook, I felt it isn't worth paying $2k excess for $12k 32 GTR. Plus I'm unsure how flexible RACV are with modifications.

Shannons only managed to shave $30 off a year, hardly worth parking it in garage every night for. RACV, with $2k excess, they want $972 for 32 GTR and $1397 for R33 GTR...

Someone also called JCI and was told of using hailstorms that happened on last xmas as a excuse to jack up the premiums. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

Just did a online quote for 32 GTR, and it's $500-800 a year cheaper than R33. A car without airbags and slighty weaker chassis is cheaper to insure, lolwut?

Good to know this thing will be out and about more often now! Agreed on insurance prices being proper f**ked up, it was cheaper to insure a 33 GTR when I was 22 year old idiot, I'm 25 now and surely the premiums would be lower no? Worst case, start looking at other cars that doesn't attract higher premium (domestic market or sedan) *shudder*

So, apparently every insurers decide to jack up on the price this year. Awaiting for an email from LSV regarding a quote after I'd contacted them last evening. If it's still a complete joke, time to consider buying something else which I'd struggle to get myself to viewing/test-drive/researching/etc...

Excess adjustment makes SFA difference to be honest, not worth raising the excess for. Awaiting a email from Lumleys, which is underwritten by Wesfarmers which is joint company to Coles Myer apparently I can get staff discount, just need to invensgate further.

It used to be in past, but not so cheap nowdays, RACV is $300 cheaper but $2k is still too much for $17-19k car.

Oh yeah, called Shannons other week, they want $30 less than what Just dream boats wanted. Time to search for more companies.

Me not happy with bunch of jokers they call themselves (insurance companies who feel it's fine to jack up the premiums to ridiculous $). Any other insurance companies that I've forgotten? So far I've tried Just dream boats, AAMI, RACV, Allianz, GIO, I'm sure there's others I've forgotten.

It doesn't clear? Are the springs thick or something? Run at least 10mm spacers. And why haven't I seen this thing around, I've been home for 3 weeks and not a sight of it!
