  1. Was told 33r dumps are an improvment over 32r if you can pick them for good price, grab them.
  2. Leigh, I've got OS Giken Triple plate in mine, I was recommended Nismo Coppermix Twin plate but I picked my OS Giken with pull to push converter kit for a price I couldn't refuse. Hopefully I'll be able to pop in tonight as it's 5 mins drive from my new house. Cheers Grant
  3. Leigh, I bought my OE Replacment 100k service kit, exhaust manifold gasket + stud kit from Kudos, defintely recommend them. As for clutch, I'd replace them along with turbos - the less time the R spends in shop, more time you can giggle like girl every time it hits boost. About Apple Peel meet, I may swing by seeing I'll be living close to the area. Cheers Grant
  4. Leigh, Go for -9s, you won't regret it, you're welcome to ride in my R before you decide if you want (that'd have to be next week as I'm moving houses tomorrow and rest of this weekend - late night may be a option). Have you changed the clutch yet? Done 100,000km service? That's all I can think of for now. Cheers Grant
  5. LOL This car is sold ages ago... Good thread digging though, well done.
  6. All still here, feel free to throw me some offers, just need to clear them.
  7. Your best bet is to look through RB25 Dyno results thread and go from there for turbo selection. But what you have planned, it sounds like a recipe for what you want. Since RB25DET have VCT, ask your tuner to tune for VCT to come in early for low end power if possible.
  8. If the actuators are adjustable Garrett ones that is included with -5s, they should be able to control the boost better than standard.
  9. ^^^ that is what i'm running at the moment, for some 'soft' people would like hi-flow cat. De-cat is good for flames and you want heaps of 'em!
  10. GTRsean, bin the compliance cat and replace it with hi-flow unit while you're at it. And why use standard actuators?
  11. These turbos are bloody fantastic! I was considering -7s or -5s but I was offered pair of HKS GT-SS for decent price and couldn't pass it up. I felt it is more responsive than standard turbos. I'm currently on standard injectors, at 302rwkw the duty cycle varies from 90-97%, I know I'm pushing it to the limit. Bigger injectors and AFM (in my case) are needed to reap the benefits of GT-SS. Would love to run on E85 and see how much power I could coax out of these. I'm using real man's clutch - OS Giken Triple Plate. Was told Nismo Coppermix twin plate is the clutch to buy.
  12. Hey all, I'll look into any offers for these bits as I need to clear them so I don't carry too much 'junk' while I'm moving houses next week. Cheers Grant
  13. Employ a navigator for next DECA.
  14. +1 to Docklands.
  15. ^^^ That would be great, but in summer, that area is insanely popular with tourists and their inconsiderate driving! Makes 'spirited' driving a bit difficult but do-able though. +1 for organising another one in not so freezing conditions, I'll make sure I bring my GTR this time.
  16. Is it sig worthy? Haha, I think the cause of me being a noob with camera and you showed up with proper flash, tripod and other fancy bits that I gave up straightaway.
  17. Was a good night, despite not bringing my 33 GTR (bagged a ride in mates wrx instead). Highlight for me was driving the 35 down the road to get fuel, I didn't drove hard in case anyone is wondering... It's hilariously fast even if you're a passenger, if you got offered to ride inside one, do it. Photos to come later tonight hopefully, quality won't be great cos I took some. Cheers Grant
  18. GTST and GTR shocks are different on R33.
  19. Yep they are heavy duty (part of kit). Still need more power though!
  20. Hi all, Couple of people have PM'd me asking me to put up the dyno sheet. R33 GT-R. HKS GT-SS Apexi Power FC HKS 3" front pipe 3" Gutted cat 3.5" HKS cat-back exhaust HKS pod filters 302rwkw at 18.6psi (controlled by HKS actuators, no boost controller). I reckon I could go further, just need fuel pump, injectors, Nismo AFM and boost controller. Hope these are much of a help in your turbo selection.

  22. Last time I enquired about GT2859R 707160-9 would cost me $2.6k for brand new pair without actuators. From Rotormaster in Melbourne if I recall.
  23. If you're going to put new pair of turbos, you may as well do the clutch while you're at it (unless you've got one already). As for you putting the turbos, it all depends whether your standard turbos have sign of letting go or you're power hungry that standard turbo couldn't provide. That said I've got GT-SS in mine and at 302rwkw it may sound fun but I want more. Yes Ash is spot on around $4-6k is what you'd be looking at upgrading to bigger turbos. I should really put up my dyno sheet.
  24. +1 for Sabbadin Automotive.
