  1. Mines ecu, worth bugger all to be honest. If fitted to other cars other than yours, it's hit and miss really.
  2. Yeah yours have bona-fide service history which is pretty uncommon on imports. I don't have one and I only seen 2 Skylines out of numerous examples I've looked at for a while with books. NSW laws do really suck. Here in Victoria, all you have to do is pray that the tester don't know much about EPA. Quick and easy solution is, get standard FMIC so you don't have to do IM240 emission test - roughly a hour work swapping it.
  3. Sell the fuel regulator and pod filters (if you still have the standard airbox - unless you want to sell it to me) - not needed at all. 240-250awkw sounds about right.
  4. Lucky bastard. No really, this GTR is in really good condition, good enough for me to put mine up for sale. Well, I don't really have a GTR now - possibly broken turbo now All the best with engineering certificate if all else fails, just buy standard FMIC for $150-250 and slap it on, how come you need a certificate to get it registered? Cheers Grant
  5. I'm patiently waiting... Could you hurry it up cos I'm getting impatient.
  6. And I've measured it after making this post. So standard FMIC thickness is 55mm. Cheers Grant
  7. Also chasing factory airbox with snorkel and bolts. Cheers Grant
  8. ^^^ R33 GTR have stock front mount intercooler. You can take measurments of stock FMIC and compare it. Or if you find Nissan part number (usually have U00 in the number if you know what I mean). Width and Height sounds about right, I'm not 100% on thickness though. RTA is that pain in the arse now? OT, Didn't you just bought this from Jamie by any chance? Cheers Grant EDIT: Just checked, the thickness is 55mm so 600mm x 280mm x 55mm - this is standard FMIC.
  9. Hi all, Being a complete anus I am, I sold a perfectly good pair of HKS 2510s and PFC + HC couple of weeks ago thinking I don't need it. Now my GTR is pretty much broken (suspected front turbo failure) so I'm in need both of these parts to get me back on the road. I'm in Melbourne, some parts I may willing to pay postage as long the turbos + pfc are in good nick. Turbos I'd like to buy is either 34 N1 or HKS 2510, remember I want a pair cos I have a GTR. As for PFC, I'd like to have hand controller included. PM me what you've got. Cheers Grant
  10. Hi all, I just got home from Status today, Trent (who is a champ once again!) couldn't determine if I've blown a turbo wheel or not cos I don't have a cataylic converter to catch the shredding metal though. Last night, I popped in, Trent went through the cramped engine bay, disconnecting one wastegate and see if it's over boosting or not. Rear turbo did but front didn't. Trent listened to whole engine bay, plugged consult port to read AFM voltage, it appears all is dandy except for a whining sound from the turbos. In conculson, Trent thinks front turbo may be broken, so I won't be driving this money pit for a while until I source replacment turbo (hopefully 34 N1), so will be buying new gaskets, studs and 100,000km service kit at same as turbo replacment. Lastly, I'd like to say thanks to all whoever helped me in this thread, also many thanks to Trent @ Status for squeezing me in on his busy schedule. Now, I'm going to put my wallet on diet! Cheers Grant
  11. Could I have the ID tag number for the turbos? Also how much to post them to 3199? PM me if you prefer to. Cheers Grant
  12. Location? Also are there any shaft play on turbos? Cheers Grant
  13. Welcome to the dark side... When you selling the WRX for a 'line?
  14. Good question actually... I'm baffled but will re check the clamps (have checked them 4 times already!) then check the piping, hope I get it sorted before Saturday so I can drive up to Shepparton - failing that, borrow my mum's mighty Corolla.
  15. About these, should I worry too much or? Will have a look @ exhaust area later and check. If all else fails, off to mechanic I go. edit: Just had a look at engine bay for manifold bolts, can't see any cos the heat shields are covering whole area. I'm still baffled at this problem... And I've run out of things to look out for.
  16. If you're desperate and want to get something off the counter, get bendix CGT for 80 fronts from Bursons. Can't remember how much for rears, could be same price.
  17. Hi all, Went for quick drive this morning, I noticed it's overboosting now (usually read 0.6 kg/cm boost on Nismo Combination meter), it is overboosting to 0.65 kg/cm roughly cos I backed off the second i see the needle went over 0.6. So my question, would leaking exhaust manifold gasket cause overboosting? Cheers Grant
  18. Dave, good work. How much lower than before? You may need to bin these side skirts and rear bar for factory aero. Off to the garage to see what else I may have break
  19. Chris, Is this the chunky ones? If so, was told they're a waste of money. Cheers Grant
  20. It's going to be a problem seeing I have a GTR - on a GTST would be easier.
  21. Yeah, it is 14 year old so it happens. It's bit of a bad timing considering I sold my perfectly good pair of HKS 2510s that I was going to put in my GTR, so will need to go turbo shopping... Like I said earlier, I'll change the clamps and go from there.
  22. Scott, What is the best way of finding the carbon stain in crowded engine bay as found on 33 GTR? I think I'll get new clamps and tear the whole front end to replace them, see what happens after that. Cheers Grant
  23. Yeah, can't really see without removing twin turbo pipe. Manifold studs that break, are they usually on top side of the manifold or bottom?
  24. To do that, I'd have to literally dismantle the motor. And while I'm at it, I may as well buy new turbos. I wish I still kept my old GTST.
