Have We Had A Successful Event Yet?
Eye Candy replied to Wingnut0021's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Keen for a V series meet up, Would be happy to host the meet at my workshop in Prospect if that helps -
Thanks mate No spacers on the rear at all, 20mm on the fronts
-
Sneaky pic at the workshop this afternoon, some new tyres on the Z rims, changed up the sizing a little, 275/30/19 rear and 245/40/19 fronts
-
Rims are in excellent condition, no rash at all from memory, tyres are all literally less than 1000kms old Front tyres are Continental MC5 225/50/18 and rears are Yokohama's 245/45/18 which were fitted at compliance in Melbourne, driven to Adelaide and then removed immediately. Fronts I fitted on arrival to Adelaide, purchased some new rims and removed the standard wheels straight away. Tyres cost me the best part of 1K at the time of fitting, Im chasing $1200 for the lot I dont get on the forum much, if you are interested please contact me on the mobile or send a PM as I get a notification via email, 0431 200 956 Local Adelaide pick up preferred but if required I can arrange shipping via Ego Couriers, my post code is 5082 to calculate shipping Cheers Adam

V36 Rev Probs, Firmware Update Anyone?
Eye Candy replied to awsam's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
^^ So where did the update come from? -
It came with the carbon front lip and carbon boot lip as well, got a little lucky with that, also came with Bilstein struts, thats what drew me to the car in the first place and once inspected in Japan I was told it was mint (4.5) so I went for it!

I thought it may not be wise to mentioned I work for a dealer In all honesty we are always as helpful as possible when it come to servicing imports but diagnosis work on the other hand we have to be very careful what we take on, simply due to the fact that we get absolutely no support from Nissan Japan when it comes to problamatic issues. We cannot contact Nissan Techline in Australia in regards to imports for any advice (we seek advice on some issues that we have not come accross before that perhaps other dealers have) which ends up burning a lot of tech time on the vehicle which ultimately needs to be recovered, thats how dealerships work, every minute counts to some degree. When you say "tools to do so", yes we have consult III but the biggest tool we have is the support from the dealer network which is non existant when it comes to imports. This is why some or most dealers have a blanket rule of not doin any diagnosis work on them. It sucks I know and I wish we could help everyone- if it were up to me I would happily work on any of them! My vehicle also has the same splutter/hestitation/miss at low rpm on take off mentioned in another thread on here, its only slight and happens only once or so on any given trip after the vehicle is warmed up, I will be looking at reprogramming the cam timing ASAP and advising if things improve/dissapear, although if it doesnt work it doesnt bother me at this stage, its very minor -

My other car is an Evo VII. My V36 is like a Yaris compared to the VII so I am happy On a serious note the V36 (3.5 twin throttle body) is remarkably good on fuel for the power/size of the vehicle, I get around 11-12l around town and driving it on its first maiden voyage from Melbourne to Adelaide I got around 8l/100 I work for a Nissan dealer and quite familiar with the VQ35, they really are a good engine on fuel considering the size of most vehicles they are fitted to, most impressive -
Cheers guys. My spacers hopefully arrive for the front today. The rears rub a tiny bit on really sloped driveways otherwise no probs. Its a Type S mate, i wanted half cloth half leather option
-
Hi guys, Just picked up my V36 sedan about three weeks ago, just installed Eibach Pro kit and purchased a set of oem 370z rims, changed the rear tyres to Continental sport contact 5's 265/35 19's. The rears are pretty aggressive, the fronts I have some 20mm hubcentric spacers on the way for a bit of extra flushness.

Programming A New Key For V36
Eye Candy replied to Zveruga's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Guys you need the PIN and Consult III, can only get the PIN via Niscom, unlike a V35 for example where the code is on the BCM -
Hi guys, From the small amount of research i have done so far, I have noticed part numbers for coilover suspension or lowered spring kits match 370Z numbers. Can anyone confirm if I purchase lowered springs etc for a 370Z they will fit my sedan? cheers Adam

Programming A New Key For V36
Eye Candy replied to Zveruga's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Lol its easy with consult 3, I work for a Nissan dealer in SA, we usually use the K13 Micra or Z34 program -
Hey guys and girls, Just imported this V36 sedan for my wife, drove it home to Adelaide from the compliance shop in Melbourne yesterday. Drives really well for a family cruiser, came with some Bilstein struts and a bit of carbon on the boot and a front lip , I get my thrills from my Evo VII when it isn't broken, so I bought this secretly from me on the weekends and for my wife to daily. I run my own detailing business so first duties, on her was a full decontamination and clean, clay bar and single stage machine correction and a decent synthetic wax. This car will be a bit of a test mule for a few products Decontaminating all the crap on it from Japan and transport etc After shots I look forward to lowering it a bit but still retaining the Bilstein struts, just need some lowering springs, and chucking on a set of wheels, thinking just some cheapie BBS LM copies or something, not splurging on rims for this when the wife will likely curb them anyway
-
Nice car Steve, cant wait to detail it for you come All Japan Day
