2jz To R32 Wiring Help
JH32 replied to vito_96's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
This might save you some hassle, this guy does mail order engine conversion harnesses, send him the 2 harnesses and he'll send you back one to install into your car. A mate used him, did a great job and wasn't expensive: http://www.sideshows.net.au/ -
Nice vid...so jealous! How fast are you going down conrod?

LS2 coil bracket for RB26 (assume it also fits RB20/RB25) All unused Located in Perth but can post $100 plus $20 postage

I bought one of the crank trigger setups that SAU user 'murrayis' designed and had made in China. Basically you get rid of your annoying and unreliable crank angle sensor. It's most of the way there towards a crank trigger setup which ordinarily you'd pay 2 odd grand for from Ross etc. To get this one working you'd need to buy the 2 sensors and then get your balancer notched. I don't know much else about the technicalities behind it so if interested have a read of this thread rather than ask questions here: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/452152-open-source-rb-trigger-kit/ Anyway, was a bit of an impulse buy as I was going to build an RB30 but can't be stuffed at the moment. Bought the kit for $420, sell for $300 plus $20 postage.

If anyone missed out on one of these and wants one, my near-term plans have changed so mine is sitting in the garage doing nothing - it's a nice bit of kit but may as well sell it. PM if keen.

What was wrong with the car? Sorry I may have missed it, I started watching the video but the shaking black and white hurt my brain.

Nice one, what's the final colour going to be?

I have a mate that bought one of these for a track toy, he put an RB26 in but reckons in hindsight he should've gone an RB25/30. You might be able to build a budget one for that around about that sort of money if you don't go for forged internals and all the fancy fruit. Either that or get an RB25 out of a Stagea - wouldn't advise the 26 route though, too much stuffing about with wiring looms etc.

R32 Attessa Disabling Rwd Mode
JH32 replied to MJTru's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Indeed you have, refer to my earlier post. Your uncle sounds like a clever guy. Except he must have left out the bit where the 10% of people that make 90% of the money are only making that money because they're not leaning on others to find ways to reinvent the wheel. -

Seriously wtf. Most questions I have seen you post in the last 6 months have been covered many times before. And don't say you searched, because it just makes you look even lazier than you already do. -

I have to say, that is the neatest surge and battery setup that I have ever seen on an R32.......fantastic! Props to you good sir! -
Educated Guess At The Final Tune Results
JH32 replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The idea behind putting it in the Projects section Pete is that more members will get visibility to it, I'm sure fewer members look in the RB30 section than they do the Projects section. It's been a great read and I'm sure many others would enjoy having a read of the thread, and then hopefully eagerly awaiting future updates!! PS. The surge tank enclosure looks great -

Looks nice mate, bet you can't wait to be driving it! I've heard the name Peter Gray before, where are you getting the car put together?
-
Sure is, what a fool. Glad to hear that you're ok though!
