  1. You mention BCs, did you have BCs previously and tracked the car(were they the wakefield times mentioned?)

I've been running BC ERs with separate comp/rebound adjustability but a shock blew at PI the other weekend, I have to check in to this a bit more but it looks like $600 just for replacement canister(and other 3 could go anytime) therefore looking at buying a new set. Hence very interested in track feedback from people who have run both BC and MCAs rather than people who've just got MCAs from OEM etc or read about how good they are.

There's a guy in this thread that appears to have had BC BRs and now has MCA X-Rs:

  2. Anyway, on to Sunday.

Supersprint at Mount Panorama. I didn't really take any pictures, but did have the GoPro in the car. I was still getting used the new power delivery and I had also asked Jez to remove the HICAS and TCS computers from under the parcel shelf. Unknowingly, this also 'disables' the ABS. If you didn't know this, now you do lol.

Anyway, I guess I'm pretty happy with the results, I claimed 1st in class and 2nd outright for the day

Here is a video of my fastest run for the day (could easily be improved upon).

The last I did the supersprint my best time was a 52.47. They shortened the course this time by about 100m, which we estimated to be about 2 seconds less in time. Today my best time was a 44.85. Suffice to say, I think the car goes a little quicker ;)

Nice vid...so jealous! How fast are you going down conrod?

  3. I bought one of the crank trigger setups that SAU user 'murrayis' designed and had made in China. Basically you get rid of your annoying and unreliable crank angle sensor.

It's most of the way there towards a crank trigger setup which ordinarily you'd pay 2 odd grand for from Ross etc. To get this one working you'd need to buy the 2 sensors and then get your balancer notched. I don't know much else about the technicalities behind it so if interested have a read of this thread rather than ask questions here:

Anyway, was a bit of an impulse buy as I was going to build an RB30 but can't be stuffed at the moment.

Bought the kit for $420, sell for $300 plus $20 postage.

  4. Hi guys can you guys help me out. How much am i looking at to turbo a stock N/A 2.5 neo 25gt4

    1. Can you guys list me down all the things ill need and how much they will be and also how much installation and tuning will cost

    2. Does a turbo kit come with everything Ill need ? or will i have to shop around for each individual part ?

    3. Is the N/A 2.5 neo the same as the turbo version in relations to how much boost they can handle before internals need upgrading?

I have around 10k to play with can you guys give me a rough idea of what kind of power I will be looking at after everything is finished?

I will be looking at a bigger turbo then a stock neo version would like to have around 250-300rwk if the stock internals can handle it.

I know I'll be looking at around roughly $2k - 2.5k for a ecu and tuning already so will $7.5k - 8k be enough to get everything all good to go ?

    Thanks in Advance.

I have a mate that bought one of these for a track toy, he put an RB26 in but reckons in hindsight he should've gone an RB25/30. You might be able to build a budget one for that around about that sort of money if you don't go for forged internals and all the fancy fruit.

Either that or get an RB25 out of a Stagea - wouldn't advise the 26 route though, too much stuffing about with wiring looms etc.

  5. I tollay understand what you mean by saying search harder

Ive been ridiculed like this for as long as ive been using this sight..

Indeed you have, refer to my earlier post.

Yeah ill look harder with that attitude i do believe what my uncle tells me. (90- 10 rule )90 percent of the prople makes 10% of the money and 10% of the people make 90% of the money. Wounder why that is maybe they should ask more questions. But guess what its been done countless times search harder. Sorry for leaving topic. Thanks for all those who have helped me. Cheers.

Your uncle sounds like a clever guy. Except he must have left out the bit where the 10% of people that make 90% of the money are only making that money because they're not leaning on others to find ways to reinvent the wheel.

  6. Hi guys. Well i have the attesa system sorted out.

Im intrested in how to instal a switch to kill the attessa. I dont want to have to leave the car, or pop the bonnet. Like pulling the fuse and thats a high amp fuse so the wire would have to be very big as i thing its for the entire system ecu hydraulic pump and so on.

I was wondering if i get a attessa ecu pin out i can just kill the contoller. Just was wondering how that would work. If i install a kill switch on the power supply for the ecu and do a burn out come to a stop and then power it up before reversing engaging the 4wd system again. Is this possible. ???

The purpose of this is to aid in traction by warming up the rear tires as the systems back bone is rwd.

    Thanks in advance

Seriously wtf. Most questions I have seen you post in the last 6 months have been covered many times before. And don't say you searched, because it just makes you look even lazier than you already do.

  7. What is with you blokes, close it down, move it to another section , get over it ??

You whinged and put crap on me because I wanted response , it is my car and I will do what I want with it and if you blokes do not like it , PO.

Well I got it going pretty good and the result speak for itself and there is more RESPONSE left should I choose to go that way, you might not like it , but who cares what you think!

It is an RB30 conversion that is being tweaked , it is an RB30 thread, if you do not like it , go away, don't read it , or get it closed down BUT stop your whinging , close it down I do not give a rats !

There are blokes that have enjoyed some of it and seen the crap I have gone through over the past 12 months, they have also seen that I did not give up when the haters had their laughs and digs at my inexperience but they did not know my resolve and to them, thanks

The idea behind putting it in the Projects section Pete is that more members will get visibility to it, I'm sure fewer members look in the RB30 section than they do the Projects section.

It's been a great read and I'm sure many others would enjoy having a read of the thread, and then hopefully eagerly awaiting future updates!! :)

PS. The surge tank enclosure looks great
