  1. Well done Pete, great result!!!! Am looking forward to some vids This does seem pretty weird I reckon. If they had already told you about the turbo, why bother writing you an email to "remind" you. Oh well, it's all done now, enjoy it for what it is
  2. Haha, you guys have a love-hate relationship eh? So many people run 6boost manifolds and have done for years, probably because they're relatively cheap and easily accessible. Are they the best? Perhaps not, but they definitely get the job done. I've got a 6boost manifold, I've had boost creep issues and my tuner reckons it's down to the design of the manifold though it's certainly not bad enough to warrant me going out and buying a different one from Full Race / Raw Brokerage / whatever else is out there. I think you will be more than happy with the manifold, I certainly wouldn't spend any time worrying about it and I'm sure that once it's bolted to your motor you will give zero thoughts to it ever again.
  3. Maybe not a banana but he definitely got a pineapple!
  4. Is it something that really should have been picked up earlier?
  5. http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/378971-the-build-of-the-beast/ What problems Pete?
  6. Same, I had been tossing up getting a set in that size (18x10.5+15) but saw a pic that sub_boy on the UK forums put up of that size on his car and they sat outside the guard a fair bit? Good looking rims though, nice job.
  7. That's a good looking bit of kit Pete, looks similar in many ways to the Aftermarket Industries ones.
  8. What car do you think you would get if you changed to something else?
  9. There's a 34 GTR in Perth with this number plate already, would be a bit ghey to have the same..
  10. Ah nice, at least by going the NEO head you do it once and do it right! I suppose with the higher comp you're at more risk of pinging but then again with E85 I would've thought you'd be fine!
  11. I wouldn't have thought that the ignitor getting hot is an issue mate. As Hadouken suggests, AFMs would be the next likely usual culprit - check the connections.
  12. Good work on having a crack yourself! Looking forward to seeing how you go over the coming weeks. So just going the stock RB30 bottom end plus RB25 non-NEO head? What sort of compression ratio do you think it'll end up with i.e. do you think you'll hit the circa 8.5:1 you were aiming for?
  13. Very nice man, the car looks clean as - I bet you are hanging to get the car on your shores! What's the goal of the build, if any?
  14. Interestingly the 6262 is actually rated at a lower power figure than the 6062: http://www.precisionturbo.net/Street-and-Race/ss/600-800HP/2
  15. Nice list of work done! I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on removing the ABS. It's something I've considered as some places I read suggest that the ABS systems in R32/R33/R34 are pretty antiquated and not overly useful, although other people suggest keeping the ABS is a must for a track driven car. I'm divided!
  16. You say the same thing every couple of months, see you soon.
  17. Saw your post in the Precision thread and thought I remembered you had a build thread - no updates in a long time!
  18. Yep well this thread will only ever be more supposition until the car goes to another dyno to find out what is really going on. At least if it goes to DVS Performance he can read some of the history behind it here.
  19. Interesting hydro dipping the cam covers, how does it all hold up with the heat?
  20. When you are driving the car the alternator is charging the battery, so there should be no difference really
  21. I haven't seen those markings but a quick search found these guys over your way somewhere, they have yellow and blue or yellow and green markings on their cams by the looks of things: http://jimwolftechnology.com/customer_part_detail.asp?PartID=461 Another pic here: http://jimwolftechnology.com/wolfpdf/CAM%20INSTALL%20INST%20FOR%20KA24DE.PDF Also that cam gear: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/high-quality-cam-gear-cam-pulley-for-nissan-RB25-RB26/538551458.html And yeah, as Ben said, just take the cam cover off and have a look, those rubber gaskets are reusable.
  22. How long until these bad boys are installed?
