  2. I have ordered a Carbon Fibre Bonnet Aero style through ChibaOsakaBoy for a R32 GTR. I havent received it yet, but I would like to sell it rather than keep it. If anyone would like to buy it, it is $850, plus $100 delivery outside of Sydney. Once again, I have not received it yet. I am hoping someone else takes my spot for the order basically. If noone wants it, I will just go ahead and buy it. Price is not negotiable. This is the price that Leo set, and the payments will go directly to him anyway.   3. I want to buy the Greddy oil catch can which opens at the top (so i can place a baffle in it) but it only comes in 9mm or 15mm. At the rear end of the cam covers on the RB26, the breather hoses are about 22-23mm. I am looking at buying silicone hoses. Does anyone know the exact diameter of the breather hoses? Should the breather hose be fuel/oil resistant? As there is a decrease in diameter from 22 to 15mm when installing the catch can, is there any negatives from doing this? I am thinking of buying an adapter to reduce the size. Am I going about it the right way? Any help would be appreciated. I am planning on changing all the pipes/tubes in my engine bay to silicone. If you know the diameter and use of a hose in the engine bay, please fill free to reply as i am getting a list of hoses down so i can buy them. Lastly, I am in the process of importing SFS Performance Silicone Intercooler/Coolant/Induction hose kits for the R32 and R33 GTR. Their products are used by PEUGEOT WRC, FORD MOTORSPORT, PRODRIVE TICKFORD, RALLIART, ROUSH and NOBLE MOY. I will post details when they're here.
  4. Im looking at getting Insurance through Just Cars for my R32 GTR after a lengthy rebuild.... basically have 2 questions. 1) Is Just Cars any good? Anyone had hassles with claims? 2) My car has HKS turbos, 700cc injectors and APEXi PFC. Just Cars requires your car to be road worthy and legal. I will use my PFC only for track days, and use my stock ECU for day-day driving.... however, its not so easy to swap over my 700cc injectors. By having larger injectors, does this make my car unroadworthy or illegal (obviously emissions will have changed significantly)? Are boost controllers legal? Wat is everybodys stance on this in order to ensure if any claims are required, it all happens smoothly.
  5. I had my R32 plenum metal stripped but it turned out sh1t cos the casting was porous and there were black bits left in the porosities.... So, i got it powdercoated a metallic silver and it looks beautiful

  7. i dunno if it will bolt to rb25. this cam cover has never been installed. i decided not to use it cos i painted my cam covers. closest offer to $150 will get the item..... and please do not make offers of $70 - $80. you know wat you can do.

  11. I am selling my DigiDisplay I purchased from Darren (Impakt) as I have upgraded to a PowerFC. I have only had it for 1 month and it has sat in my glovebox for 95% of the time. It is in excellent condition (brand new condition), works perfectly and really is a nicely made unit by Darren.   12. well the plan is to remove turbos and dump pipes, refit stock turbo and dumps, take out injectors and replaces stocks and sell the b1tch, then upgrade to a R34 + fit turbs and injectors and get new PFC. May give the buyer of the 32 option to buy the 34 turbos. My car is most definitely a daily driver as its the only car I have.
  13. Ben at racepace. Said clearance on forgies have to be larger to accomodate for higher expansion rate due to difference in metal used. Going ahead without internal upgrade and getting turbo upgrade. Most definitely will not be after more power after this... never intended on having this car for over 2 years anyway.
  14. nah dun want forged.... basically i was told that they are not ideal for daily driver as u need to warm them up to get them to the right size so they dont rattle about too much when cold
  15. Recently a mate of mine got done by the EPA. He has a mirage which has been turbocharged and now he needs to get it back to NA... dunno exact details. However, he will go thru alot of money and anguish over this. Planning on having my GTR worked, though the visual impact will be much less.. almost stock looking. and obviously this is very different to the mirages case but.... wat do i need to do in order to avoid any problems with the epa? is it worth getting engineers cert? i am getting HKS GT-SS turbs... obviously hard to see and PowerFC. should i take any precautions or will it most likely be ok?

  17. Thats the thing... i can afford it.... money is not a problem as i am borrowing on LOC so interest rate is only ~7-8%.... I just dont want to have to rebuild an engine again while running on stockish power... if ur gonna blow an engine, at least have fun killing it hey? i didnt even trash mine around and its costing me buckets.... Ive decided to go ahead with the works.... just dunno if i should bother with the extra 600 for the greddy extension pipes over the HKS dump pipes. also, will the greddy pipes fit a HKS GT-SS?? Also, i am submitting my order to greenline, would anyone in Melbourne like parts with my order (save postage)? Call me 0403 232 338... will send tomorrow morning/late tonite so dun dilly dally

Well i am getting my R32 GTR rebuilt this friday (well starting anyways) at Racepace.... i have been advised to do a standard rebuild as i will be using this as a daily driver and not a sunday toy car, hence forged pistons were not recommended due to rattle and need for warm up. I think problem is the main bearing. anyway, will find out exact problem once he pulls it apart.... One thing that has got me stumped is whether to upgrade the turbos or not..... Ideally i dont want to upgrade but i have been told that if/when the turbos go and the ceramic wheels shatter, it can cause damage to the engine, therefore wasting more money. What are the chances of this happening? If it is advisable to change the turbos, i will bite the bullet..... I am thinking of getting HKS GT-SS and PowerFC. Have been told to get SARD 700cc inj and an upgraded fuel pump. I am thinking of getting the Bosch 044 pump and getting it mounted internally. Thoughts on this setup would be appreciated. from basic figures, the rebuild will be about $6500, and getting all the extra parts for a turbo upgrade + fit/tune is about $7000, therefore doubling costs. The car is an 89 GTR.... supposedly 70k. What are your thoughts? Upgrade turbos or leave it and upgrade if they fail? again, my main concern is the possibility of damage to engine if the turbo does fail...... however having said that, if the turbos fail and i get new turbos, obviously it will be more expensive to get turbos fitted later on rather than while engine is out. Does anyone know the average price of fitment of turbos, injectors, fuel pump and powerfc and tune (labour only)? In need of help and wise words. Thanks in advance, Emmanuel

I replaced the sparks and...... got a heavy knocking sound and some vibrations... probably bottom end got it booked for racepace for rebuild next week..... just wondering, i am getting hks cam gears for the car, but what are cam sprockets? http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/engine.../campulley.html bottom... cam sprockets... worth getting and wat do they do? As for rebuild, i intend on getting forged pistons and conrods if they are not too pricey, but is there anything else i should get while the engine is out? i will try and retain standard head if there is no damage (do cams and valve springs at a later date, also turbos i will leave if ok) will get oil catch can, should i get a new oil pump? anything to do now while the engine is out.....
  20. no not 2k for engine... its a gtr. anyway, i had forgot to reconnect the afm prior to driving... i reconnected it within 2 mins of driving. 3 minutes later it seized up.... a friend of mine explained it could be sparks fouled as it would then run on less cylinders and hence the vibrations.... gonna check the sparks tomorrow and change and see how it goes.... fingers crossed... i got a feeling all will be good BTW, i tried checking the sparks today but my toolkit didnt have the appropriate sized ratchet head.... anyone know wat size it is (metric or imperical).
  21. Well i went out tonight and after 5 minutes my car died..... basically engine made a horrible nocking and vibrating noise and seized up.... tentatively tried restarting and very bad vibrations. I think its fcuked.... dunno which way to go... rebuild or new engine...... gonna take it to racepace
