Painted my grill satin black today.. got it painted okay but underestimated how much (or little) paint I had left so the inside bits arent so proper but i cant get more paint bah good friday. Looks okay at the moment. Edit.. also polished up the fog light/indicator lens' as the were cloudy

I wemt to a high school in adelaide and did auto studies in year 9 amd 10. People used to donate cars and when we had cars of our own we were allowes to bring them in, throw them on the hoist change the oils and all that jazz.. pulled down a few old holden motors, learned how they worked and rebuilt them etc. Then the school tried to go all academic from technical and sucked balls then went super ghetto.. fun times

I have taken all your advice btw and I thank you all for it. I realise that I obviously need to do more research before taking any leaps of faith.. this is all new to me. I'm the first to say that I know far from everything and I'm treating everything as a learning curve. After reading my comment again, it does come across quite cocky (which it wasnt meant to be) and I apologize. The last thing I want to do is piss people off who are trying to help me out.. I love these forums as a knowledge base, please dont cast me off for something I'm not because of a misinterpreted comment. What more can i say?

Im just saying that my question was to do with the gearbox model because I was after a short shifter. Not 'what's some opinions on short shifters?'. Each to their own though, I understand. Also, yes, I would like an adjustable one. Though im not sure they exist, Im not going to settle for my preference for second best just cos I cant find what I'm after straight off the bat. Rebuild and learn something I rebuilt a hemi 6 in two days with no prior engine building experience.. just made sure that I had all the parts ready to go and dis a lot of reading.. a lot of reading. Also YouTube is also a very good friend. Youll also find you'll enjoy the satisfaction of saying you did it all yourself it cost the same as buying a crate engine but hey, what life experience worth?

My apologies if this has been covered before but I'm having a hard time fishing for this info.. im assuming the 5sp manual box for the c34 is the same as an r33 but which model? gt/t/r/st? Does anyone know of a model/part number for these trannies? The reason I ask is to find a suitable adjustable short shifter and I just want to make sute I get the right one before forking out da monies

I also think regardless of whether you modify or keep it stock it's meant to be used/enjoyed/driven.. not sit in a shed for its life and hauled around to shows on trailers.. whats the point? To say yours is better than theirs? Enjoy the car for what its worth

Couldn't agree more.. you make the car your own and how you want it. For example with the charger im modifying it restricted to ANY factory option through the years of production. To make it unique in form (if that makes sense) I havent had the time or money to mod the stagea yet but it will eventually succumb to mods of personal interest.
