  1. Hey all, I have a set of 800cc sard injectors brand new in box for sale still in plastic. was going to install but need the cash at the moment. looking for 700 for them. Also I have an Apexi Power FC with hand controller, perfect condition selling for same reason as above chasing 1500. PM me. Cheers.
  2. water temp was fine, engine temp around the half way mark as usual.
  3. Not a bad idea but still doesn't explain how this has happened out of nowhere Still stumped
  4. Well my gauges are all in the center of my dash, factory gtr ones. So no aditional guages but mine has never read wrong before. Also was only costing along behind traffic so I wasn't even giving it a hard time. So I still have no idea but I don't want to even drive it home tip I have some theories Any other ideas?
  5. reached 140, normally seems to be about 70 - 80. Thanks.
  6. Hi guys, I did search on this and came up empty... I always seem to have that result though. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated : Today drove the car about 20 k's to a friends house, half way there I noticed my oil temperature was really high, all other vitals are fine engine temp, oil pressure and so on, the car is running completely stock and has been running with out problems. Oil levels are good too, I have teh stock setup with the water to oil cooler off the block no seperate radiator out the front but that has never been a problem, also this was before it got really hot today, just nice and early. Has anyone seen this before? Cheers, H
  7. PM sent regarding the surround for the sterio and gear shifter and a few bits if I can remember them )
  8. Dude... strong bet it's your head gasket. best to change quick too, oil in radiator will likely lead to water in engine oil. fail. Good luck.
  9. BUMP!!! The r32 gts-t rims can go for free! someone just come and get em. PICK UP ONLY!!! Cheers
  10. AWESOME GAME,,, I still play it everynow and then! Just raw fun, no crap and no cheating... I think haha
  11. PM sent for the BOV's cheers
  12. Well I could go to an engine builder and throw more money at it, true... Or I could learn the lesson here about what went wrong so I wont do it again, and when the car is back up and going I will have learned something and built something. I don't see the point in having someone else make it for me, it's half the fun and later on I might like to do a bigger project my self... it's better I learn on this motor than one that will cost a fortune. all sarcasm aside, I appreciate all the help and suggestions guys. I have ordered the new rods, bearings and so on, I WILL take it all to a machinest to make sure it will all match perfectly, then I will throw it all together... more on this to come I suppose.
  13. Sorry to hear it mate, Another case of Canberra drivers not giving a rat because they are so used to our open roads!!! I believe in frequent licence test!!! Sure would be a pain in the @ss but at least loosers like that wouldn't have the opportunity to ruin our pride and joy's. Smooth move shifting out the road by the by. how many people would have simply braced for impact?
  14. No no no, I wasnt driving fast during run in, I did the complete run in cycle, 5000 k's of labouring and babying and so on, with correct fluids, then 500 K's on new redline oils, then oil change again to make sure all was well and THEN the problem came up.
  15. Hmm, Ok in the last post though someone suggested using a plasti guage to do this and then someone else said that was a stupid idea and doesn't work. What is the best way to ensure the clearance is perfect? Thanks for your help guys
  16. First off, R32 GTR Ok, SO I posted up a little while ago that my engine kicked it's self in the face after 5000 k's on a rebuild. It spun a bearing originally and then after the rebuild, ran her in, just started to drive again on the new oil and so on and there it was a again, bearing failure noise... The general concensus was that I needed to pull it down before anyone could give me any advice on what went wrong. SO I have done so, heres the go... All the bearings crank to block are perfect, ONE of the bearings crank to rod is toasted.... badly!!! Piston three to be more specific. Everything else seems to be perfect... Now my trusted shop down here gave me one theory which is that something could be wrong with the rod it's self, perhaps the thread was just out or something resulting in a false torque down... This would mean to little or too much actual torque on the bearing and ultimately . . . Death to favourite motor. N1 Oil pump is fine, Rings and bore all good (new rings) new crank... MIGHT get away with a polish... more on that to come. R33 GTR Crank baffle in the sump restrictor in the head head reco'd basically the motor seems fine other than that one bearing... can anyone provide any more advice? I am thinking of replacing the the rods, bearings and oil pump at the very least even thouh the pump is fine or seems to be. alright then, so regarding the above,,, I'm baffled and a little scared of putting it all back together just to blow up in my face again... Any help and all theories would be great! Thanks in advance for any help.
  17. I am pulling the motor out on the weekend, so I'm yet to see which bits got damaged but based on last time it will be the front big. oil galleries were all cleaned well and truly as for the clearences, I used factory bearings and crank all matching numbers for my block and so on and set all the torque to the factory settings... So when you say clearences what do you mean? suddenly I am feeling a little sheepish.
  18. Hi All, Wondering if anyone can offer any advice... I Just did a rebuild on my RB26 with the following. New rings Valve guides and so on in the head, N1 oil pump Brand new Crank R33 RB26 new bearings Sump Baffles (Tomie) oil restrictor in the head and I drilled the sump return holes (in the sump) new water pump and timeing kit. that just about does it. Now I put the motor back together all to spec and torque, I ran in the new rings with run in motor oil and all was well the car was driving fine... and FAST! but not long after I changed the oil from the run in fluid the I started hearing a nock... and here I am today with a newly blown up motor and a whole lot of sad I know the drill with oil pressure when starting for the first time and so on, and when the motor is cold, I was VERY careful... Does anyone know what might have gone wrong>? did I miss anything? Any help would be appreciated as I am just pulling the motor out to go again. Cheers.

  20. Hey mate, first off im sorry to see your car messed up like that, hope no one was hurt. If you are parting the car out, I am looking for the consol surround that goes around the sterio, centre gauges and the shifter. my one got broken. Also the centre vents from the dash. and the stock GTR gear nob. Do you still have these bits? if so how much would you like for them. I'm in canberra but I can come up to pick up. cheers
