  2. Interested in your TE37's, can you confirm they are 19x10.5 +12 all round? +12 seems dam agressive!

I have a set of R34 GTR rims on my car at the moment wrapped in RE01's (Say 60-80% tread at a conservative estimate) depending on what cash adjustment that would make I could be keen.

Can't send you a PM since your box is full. PM me, else I'll call you next week when I'm home.

  3. Bought this off a member on here 'Longz' a little bit ago, finally starting to toy with it so thought I'd throw up a thread.

I'll let the specs and pics do the talking! Since it's dam hard to find many pics of MPII GTR's I make sure I have a lot.

    As I bought it:

    Specs:

    1999 R34 GT-R V-Spec

    Midnight Purple 2

    45,000k's

    Modest Mod-list (10/11):

    - Apexi Power FC with Commander

    - HKS Boost Controller

    - Z-Tune Carbon Fibre Bonnet with Carbon Fibre Aero flush pins fitted.

    - Apexi Pen Turbo Timer

    - Tomei Cam Gears

    - Ganador Titanium Exhaust

    - Nitto Clear Cam Cover

    - BC Type BR Coilovers

    Tuned "for response" @ 262kw.

Bit of a walkaround at the time of purchase:

After I got it I took stayed in Sydney for a bit to check out the sights with a few friends:P1020264.jpg

    IMG_0702.jpg

It was then shipped back to Perth to start it's real life.

Since then it copped a 'clean-up' respray since the paint in some parts was getting a bit worn as well as getting the z-tune side skirts and pods fitted, of course custom plates to match.

    - TurboSmart HyperGate

    - Greddy Twin Pod Intake Kit

    - Tomei FPR

    - Sard 1000CC Injectors

  4. I've been up here two years (fifo) and wouldn't advise about bringing a skyline up here... you'll have to run bp-98 for a start.

Not to mention the red dirt/constant heat will kill the paint. There are also no decent roads up here so expect paint chips/dents/etc.

Simple response is buy a 4wd for up here, leave the skyline at home.

  5. You'll actually find there are a few mechanics who can do this:

    http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/licensing/21360.asp

I personally used Pebco to examine my R34 GTR, they were decent blokes and happy to help with instructions on how to fix any issues.

As well as allowed me to drive away, fix said issues and come back with no extra cost (on the same day).

Great for minor issues that would normally call for a full re-inspection at the pits.

  6. Right so high chance my bottom end went bang so putting the feelers out for who's got something they looking to move!

So hit me up if you have a built rb26 /2.8 /3.0+ your looking to move.

My 34 gtr is fairly standard currently so setups with turbos/rad/clutch/fuel setup are more then welcome.

So, as I said its a high chance... My motor comes out this week so let me know what you've got!

  7. Right, new to SauWA... fairly old to the Perth scene but known more around the Antilag crew.

Bought Longz MP2 GTR (For sale link here) after owning a mental supra to get into grip/response cars. Will undoubtedly see the car cruising around this summer!

    Name: Paul

    Copyrighted since: 1987

    I drive a: MP2 R34 GTR V-Spec

    I work/study as: I&C Engineer, Oil n Gas

Cruise/event attendance rate: 0, although attending as many track days as I can from here on in... and I'm at most of Antilag's events.

    Music taste: Mixed.

Hobbies: Cars, drinking and women. In that order.

Might be of use contacting me for: Cruises, oil n gas info, engineering info.

  8. Tried searching around but didn't come up with any R34 info, heaps of 32/33 but minimal solid details on the 34 gearbox.

So basically I'm trying to work out what sort of power these boxes can handle reliably.

Ideally people with first hand knowledge running x amount of power with no issues, versus accounts of people breaking them at x power.

I know that a lot of it can come down to treatment/servicing but looking to get the generally accepted 'she won't hold for long' levels.

    k go!
