  2. Hi guys I have been trying to do some research into finding out what is happening to my engine. A few weeks back the r32 gtr hesitates and feels like it gets starved of fuel to the point where I can barely keep the engine running before it stalls. if I wait a few minutes and start it up it works fine again. The problem has happened after putting my foot down and also from just idling in the garage. It isn’t consistent. I have done a fuel pressure check to make sure the fuel pump is still giving me the right amount of fuel. after it stalls the engine has this strange noise, it comes and goes but I can’t figure out what it is. Has anyone ever heard anything like this ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have changed the fuel filter air filter and have some replacement Afm on the way.
  3. Hi guys any tips on how to free the tail shaft in a r32 gtr. I can't release is from the diff and I can't untighten the tail shaft to the gearbox. Workinh on the ground so don't have a lot of room to move

  5. All good, the fuze triggered the warning light tonight and drives in rwd.. Turning and the feeling of locked diff is still there so it could be mechanical.. Hopefully the front diff hasn't shat itself
  6. I removed the 4wd fuse today and the 4wd light did not come on.. I am guessing it's something electrical if it thinks it's still active without the fuse...?
  7. If the throttle position sensor is out does it think the car is driving faster then it is? Is there anyway to test?
  8. Possible the previous owner put this in? He did use it for super sprints and track it. Any way to check for sure? Jack it up and spin the wheels?
  9. Hi skyliners, going through trying to figure out why my r32 gtr is stuck in 4wd. Low speed turning you can hear and feel the front wheels trying to turn and the tyres scrub under the force. I used to have a 4wd controller but this has been removed. Even tried to take out the 4wd fuse and it still feels like 4wd. I have never seen the torque meter move since owning the car for a few weeks. I have done some research checked the rear reservoir and it's topped up. Any helps or places to start checking would help a lot. I turned the car on and tried to look for the leds in the atessa computer but nothing showed up.

  12. The hardest part is I can't really drive it as it has no plates and is not registered. So it only gets driven to and from the emmisons testing facility. I've heard unigroup are pretty good with nistunes?
  13. I have both of those. I have a wideband fitted and the consult cable as well. I need some direction to see where to start
  14. It is over in all emmisons all three sections. Which the guy said was strange. I will try the cat first go back see if it improves then do the tune. Is it possible to download the nistune software and see what the car is doing?
  15. Ok thanks guys I think that's the bet. Get a stock cat. Know it's a stupid question but a tune for e85 I don't even know any servos near me which sell that stuff. Anyone know of any good nistuners here which aren't too expensive?
  16. Morning skyliners, After some advice. I have an r32 gtr bought from Vic and looking to engineer it here in nsw. I was asked to get an emmisions test as it is an r33 rb26. With the nistune ecu and a 3.5in Zorst it was running 3x over the legal limit for emmisons (stock engine, factory injectors AFM 17psi boost) I thought replacing the nistune with an r32 gtr stock ecu would run a factory tune. Emmisons was 10x over Any one got any ideas. I am thinking put the nistune back in and get it dyno tuned back to a stock or more factory tune which will make it closer to the legal limits? Also getting a better cat. Thanks in advance. I got a quote from a dyno tuner he said 3-4k including exhaust mods. Seems a bit exxy

  21. r32 skyline gtr Hi Guys going through emmisions and need a stock rear muffler so I can weld in a section to make it more 'street legal' dont want to spend a lot of dough as it will only be on there for a week or two, Just need a rear r32 muffler I can weld a section to fit the current exhaust. thanks in advance.   22. Checked the cat looks to be ok not punched out or melted. I am going to try and source a stock r32 gtr ecu provided the previous owner did not change it to the r33. Are the ecu's the same? (Engine is from an r33 gtr)
  23. Thanks mrstaffy I think everything in the car is stock minus the exhaust. I will do the cat and run another test then try the ecu
