  1. nick, didnt brad (scradly) have a chat to you about how to sort out 6-boost problem?!?
  2. you only need to run one... just merge the two wastegate collectors together thats how my 6 boost t04z spli manifold was done
  3. i dont think it would strangle the turbo considering under high boost and power... a lot of the zaust gases would be bypassing the turbo and screaming into the open air through your external wastegate!!!
  4. a while ago a few guys in perth were using master power turbos... they seemed to work fine and were reliable, but they are plain bearing and oil cooled they also didnt have very good response as people have said, go the good ol' garrett
  5. i think the t04z 0.7x rears dont come with twin scroll but the 0.8x do... twin scroll would make up the difference in response
  6. ambient temp sensor may have been sitting next to a hot computer fan blowing air on it?!?
  7. and go low mounts if your inclined to want to play with R31Nismoid's boy bits
  8. to make it simple, if you... go a 3082R/3076R you wont regret it, it will be fvcking fast on the road or track go a 3582R and you will either want the power of a T04Z or the response of a 30R go a Z and you wont remember anything cause itll be fvcking fast and you will scare the sh1t outta anyone who wants to ride shotgun
  9. a standard stroke rb26 with a t04z wouldn't be as bad as some people think as long as you keep the needle a bit above 4000rpm it will sit you right back in your seat in any gear and when you swing a rb26 to 8500-9000 thats a lot of revs to play with driving a Z on the street you dont even have to wind the revs that hard, i was changing at around 7500rpm most of the time and the next gear sits you back in your seat straight away saying that i would go a gt3076r or 3082r with a 0.8x bum if you wanted to track a lot, you should be able to make 350-370rwkw and be bullshit responsive and trust me a GTR with that much power is fvcking quick... forget the gt35r with either a 0.8x or 1.0x bum, if you want more power go a z, you loose a tiny bit of response but gain a huge amount of mid range and top end
  10. i went with argo rods, they are very very solid and well designed... have seen them runnning nearly 900rwhp so they are a good thing i think pauter are great rods but are probably a little of the skinny/light side for 1000hp as others have stated carillo have a very good name
  11. its wierd how wa dynos make so much power, but then when you send over "eastern spec" mainline dynos over for autosalon we still make more power than you... maybe the air is just more oxygenated over here?!? haha ooooooooooooooooo really
  12. so rb20's will just make 200rwkw with rb25 turbos but rb25's wont?!?
  13. as some people have said, when your spinning a motor that hard doing a skid your usually not under full throttle i used to have a awesome thermo set up on my oil cooler in my old gts-t, worked a treat watch out for fuel surge as well, cause when you whip nuts on rubber caked snake pits you pick up a lot of lateral g's
  14. the problem is caused by the cheap split dumps.... because where the gate pipe re-enters the zaust the hole is too small easy solution!!! pull the dump off and port out the hole where the wastegate re-enters the exhaust. on the ones i have seen the hole is approx 2 square cm's but if you get a grinding tool/file in there you should be able to make it almost 4 times the size make sense?
  15. actually i made 430rwkw using a stock block, dont try a be a hero cause i have a bigger dick than you... my STOCK motor made 300rwkw but without prep work a stock block will start struggling around 300-330rwkw stfu is not a good argument, the fact is with a single you get twice the amount of force pushing on approx double the amount of mass, so in theroy there should not be a lot of difference at all. so the laws of physics actually state that they should be very similar in practise they are similar, but twins have better response because of the small cast manifolds where singles have less lag and better top end power
  16. this motor isnt built, its standard from nissan... i had a stock block with 430rwkw no problems, but it was prepped like u said. but once again i refer to the fact we are talking about a standard engine
  17. wrong, stock blocks are known to split with around 300rwkw... want proof? i have one at home yours also wrong in regards to the twins, it has been shown that even a t04z well set up will have less lagg than garrett replacement twins... if 300rwkw is your goal i suggest a garrett 3076r or 3082r with a 0.8ish bum on a 6-boost manifold
  18. lol @ was nice knowing you he wont be able to go that fast cause with that power he will be sitting on the spot with popped tyres
  19. post up the graph... what fuel pump?
  20. 274.2rwkw is a bit low to max out the injectors... 300rwkw is more realistic!!!
  21. lol @ CRD getting angry where is GTR700?!? ps. didnt a WA owned, built and tuned car make 889rwhp at autosalon with a shitty slapped together second hand 2.6l over a year ago???
  22. ap engineering power fc for rb20det will work rare and usually expensive, cant buy new
  23. 228 @ 8000rpm sounds about spot on
  24. LOL dont hold back paul, tell us what u really think
  25. this is going to go nowhere in a hurry haha gotta love the lightswitch
