  1. Jesus! Whats the settup on that? So much mid range but then falls on its ass at 5500rpm
  2. As other have mentioned it would be pretty pointless, you will probably end up going backwards... Plus you will almost surely end up spending more money and time than just buying a 6boost, but realistically... I would just stick with the stocker PS. You can make 350rwkw with standard manifold, that turbo on the other hand might struggle
  3. 50lb/min pretty much all the way through the pressure range is fairly significant, considering that translates to around 50hp!
  4. The compressor map shows it's better everywhere... Where are the 3076R are only different up the higher boost end!
  5. 6800rpm by the calculations... But I do believe Gav runs 4.3's so would be more along the lines on 7200rpm
  6. Sounds like very poor workmanship! Who screwed the motor together?
  7. Wait... WHAT?!? EPIC BACKPEDDLE
  8. Nice results and back to back testing!!! Really wish they would compare a X3071R to a 3076R, realistically the X3076R is only better on big boost (when loosing at compressor maps)
  9. Also keen to know where the "bolt head" was from?!?
  10. CAR: R32 Gts-t with RB25DET POWER: 385rwkw TYPE OF ETHANOL: E42.5 PLUG: BCPR7ES GAP: 0.6 COLD START: Fine HOT: Fine Started missing at 0.8 gapped plugs, which was fixed by gapping to 0.6 Might try and run some 6's at 0.8 next time it's on the dyno to see how that goes!
  11. So the head was drilled out and tapped, because I can't see any cut/welding on the manifold!
  12. $4500 approx delivered would seem very very good value considering... I wonder if "600hp" is flywheel or wheels?!?
  13. Twins 044's externally, but if want something in tank I would be looking at twin Walbro GSS-342's
  14. I always thought that the exhaust manifold pattern were different from RB26 to RB20?!? But it looks like you have stock RB26 manifold on there? Looking great, just to give you some encouragement there is a RB24 over here in the west making a decent 500 plus on BP98
  15. I got a similar fuel rail for my car and it was junk! If I was you I would just be looking for side feed injectors, it's a lot easier I use Deatschwerks injectors and they have performed perfectly for me http://www.deatschwerks.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=0_24_44&products_id=172
  16. Could be heaps of things, maybe take it down to Trent or a mechanic and ask them for their opinion Or are you just using a noise as a excuse for a upgrade PS: To check if it's a big end you could always do a limiter skid down the road, if a rod comes out the block it's probably a big end haha
  17. I'm all for GTR BOV, I had one on my RB20 running 26psi and 300rwkw! It also held 2bar on one dyno run no issues... but it made the compressor surge a tiny bit changing from 2nd to 3rd which was enough to sometimes upset the AFM and give it a flat spot My setup now for example doesn't use a standard plenum or intake, to fabricate a BOV flange on the cold side cooler piping, return line from one side of the car to the other and a bung on the intake (which doesn't even have the AFM in it any more) is way too much effort compared to a Greddy Type-R which flows about double the GTR stocker
  18. That doesn't really sound like a big end... Sure you don't want to get it checked out before possibly forking out when it might be something fixable? Anyhoo sucks when it happens If I was you I'd be going another stocker RB25, so much easier than a RB30 and I bet a hell of a lot cheaper!
  19. Been using a set of Yellow Jackets on both my RB20 set up and RB25 set up for about a year now... They have been good at 2bar and 300rwkw with a 0.7mm gap on the RB20 They started to break down at 0.8mm with 1.6bar running in the RB25, now gapped at 0.6mm and are fine for 385rwkw Apparently the Nissan ones are very cheap shipped from the USA but if you can't find them Yellow Jackets so far so good
  20. I don't drive it all the time (I have a work vehicle) and I usually run it on 1.4 bar not 1.6 bar... Fingers crossed it will last for a while! Yeah very happy with the curve and the way it responds on the road, probably my favorite motor set up I've driven
  21. Thanks for the idea, I just got a set of plyers and bent the f**k out of it! Now seems to latch and hold
  22. So much hate!!! I know what you are saying but there is a point when moving to a Type-R would be required and recommended... 270rwkw though is perfect territory for a GTR stocker
  23. Been out for a long time in non petrol applications, seems to be a good idea and Porsche are now running it in 911 turbos http://www.porsche.com/microsite/technology/default.aspx?pool=uk&ShowSingleTechterm=PTVTG&Category=&Model=&SearchedString=&SelectedVariant=PMT911TurboAll
