  1. Ricer dash install
  2. Well did round 7 of the State and came first, one round left and I've almost got it in the bag. Have to come in top 15 to win the series (worst I've come in the dry is 2nd). Also did Powercruise on the weekend, first year I have not broken the car which was good and managed to come 2nd in off street drags. Lost to a 32GTR with 3.4L GTX42, Holinger and ET Streets
  3. It's worth mentioning that the poster of this comment wanted to buy a Precision after coming for a ride in my car on you weekend... You've changed Matt!
  4. They got really upset and defensive when I did that last time
  5. Hit map limit on that dyno, I wonder how much boost it's actually running in the mid range. I would imagine more like 35-36psi by the looks
  6. I have done 3 sprint events and 2 track days with no issues. It's not a "traffic" driven car but I have been keeping a close eye on the temps. While the OEM fan kept the temp at thermostat temp at all times in traffic the GKtech rises to the point where the clutch fan kicks in and then stays steady there. Even when idling in pits after belting the shit out of it on track I have not seen it go above 90deg
  7. Update on this, I tried several things including solid mounting the top radiator mounts, getting a new fan, getting a new shroud... All to no effective result and it kept just eating away at the shroud. Seems to be an issue when you have a Koyo radiator with a stock fan/shroud and Nismo engine mounts. I've ended up buying a Gktech fan (plus adaptor) and another new shroud and it doesn't hit at all, actually has a reasonable amount of clearance. The Gktech fan doesn't work as well as the OEM Nissan one but still is able to keep my temps in the low 80's in traffic. No issues while on track at all as the airflow is more than effective. Thought I would post because I'm sure others will have the same issue in the future!
  8. 4th gear runs by the looks! Handy result, would be interesting to see VCT vc non-VCT
  9. Gear used, tyres and diff ratio?
  10. Did a mix up of a few camera views
  11. Hater! I have a Mangafuel Protuner 625 that doesn't need PWM and doesn't have runtime restrictions (I have done hundreds of KM's then done 1000m drag runs without issue) but it's a noisy f**ker. I'm constantly considering the same option as our male model friend here, twin Walbro 460 pumps. I had one in my last green car when they first came out, fantastic pumps and almost silent.
  12. Bit of an oopsie here
  13. Thanks for copying me!
  14. *Shudders* at cost because I'm tight. I also remember my OEM RB26 crank was under $1000 but that was trade price about 10 years ago so things may have changed. Being around a lot of GTR's on the street and track over the last 12 or so years I can say this, a RB26 with a good set up will be better than and average set up RB28. A well set up RB28 is always going to be better than a RB26 (although they do tend to turn over a little sooner). In terms of cost, if you are building the motor it's probably worth the extra cash but if you have a healthy stock motor I'd be saving the $13k and getting the right modifications to make a well set up RB26. Joey's RB26 is even more responsive than mine (by the dyno graph) and still makes awesome power. My RB26 has a little more top end potential but still has more power than you would need anywhere, check the footage below. This is a tight low speed track in a which stoker GTR owners would say would be a nightmare in a reasonable hp RB26, but even on sticky soft compound R-comps I have enough response to get boost anywhere I need it and enough power/torque to spin all 4 tyres through any corners at will.
  15. So had a fairly big week last week with the car, went down to No Limits and broke my lap record for a street car with a 60.19 which is within 1 sec of the best qualifying time the Group-A cars did back when they were racing. Also so close to a 59sec lap which would be a huge barrier for a street car. Also managed to take out the latest round of the State Speed Event Series which I don't think has ever been done before in a registered car, let alone a closed car. The competition in this is significantly better than your average time attack so I was very happy with the overall and class win
  16. How does everyone go with pressures and temperatures? I had mine working at 32deg hot the other night but went to test them cold the next morning and they were 25psi for 3 and 22psi for the hard working front left. Seems like a very high delta to me at 7-10psi but maybe that's just normal. I managed to shag out the centre blocks a little initially as the pressure were getting to more like 35psi hot because I started at 28psi. My GTR seems to love doing this, ripping apart the compound it the center of the tyre, had done it for both the A050 and Z221 when new. I always just assume it's the pressure getting a little too high but maybe it's something else?
  17. Really stupid question, are you sure they are -5's?
  18. $475 a corner, will keep everyone advised on wear
  19. Nah I tested it before I took it out, got 3/4mm clearance to the rolled guards under compression (jacked it up front front corners). Plus add some tyre deflection under cornering would add a few more mm clearance
  20. Speaking of bumps, check out this video around 59sec in, that's a bump haha (different wheels and tyres though)
  21. Does racing around a track and running over apexes count? Actually the front right very slighty rubbed on the screw holding in the inner lining of the front drivers side. I bent it up with my hand (good old ally guards) and she was sweet
  22. HKS Type R, so 103mm I believe
  23. They fit
  24. I ran mine on gate pressure (about 16psi) in the wet yesterday and it reminded of you haha Still went fairly hard just keeps pulling harder all the way through the rev range haha
