  9. I see, you were just playing with us! Will be good to see how it goes.
  10. Well it's been awhile! Lol but lots has happened, some things I was hoping for, others were unexpected. First off I got my turbo, fuel injectors, p/s cooler, full exhaust including manifold & nistune all in the car. It was a battle, being the optimised I thought it would take about 4-5 hrs, well that turned into a 12 & 1/2 hour spanner wrenching session! That's with a couple of mates helping. But all was worth it in the end as she fired straight up, and was flawless on the test drive. I did have photos of a lot of the work in progress, but lost my phone and hadn't back it up for awhile was really pissed. But I do have some pics of it done. As you can see in the next pic it was a tight fit, this car having a 52mm alloy rad, where the old car had a factory one! Also the bov return pipe was also a tight squeeze, requiring the fmic to be moved slightly forward. It's the black plastic pipe at bottom of fmic. So for the next couple weeks was all good, then one day I noticed there was a small coolant puddle under the car. Turned it on and no leak, let it get hot, still no leak. Got out my little mirror and led light and noticed it was leaking from the front of the motor. On closer inspection the water pump had a couple drops out the weep hole! So new water pump & timing belt had to be ordered! Great more money! So I went through kudosmotorsport.com & ordered a genuine pump & gates racing timiming belt. Again I did have pics of the install but lost them. So only have these. You can see the shiny new pump. Trust me it's not just a sticker! Well got that done was running super, was loving having "my car" again, except not even a week later this! If ya can't see it, the first pic shows the clutch fork hanging out the gearbox, the second pic shows why. The clutch fork pivot bolt snapped! Could not believe it, wasn't even driving it hard when it happened. So once again more money had to be spent, & because of the fact it has a rb25 turbo box in it, doing it on jacks wasn't an option. So I order a nismo pivot bolt, made from higher grade steel, & also a new clutch kit! So for a couple weeks I couldn't drive it, as was waiting for the clutch to show up. Once I got it I towed it to a mates shop, put it on the hoist a with a couple of mates we dropped the whole front sub frame a couple of inches, as the rb25 box left almost no room in the trans tunnel. Pulled off the clutch which was in need of changing, as you can see in the pic. Also took off the flywheel & replaced the rear main oil seal, wasn't leaking but why not why the box is out. Did the spigot bush, & replaced the box, new fluid, and new slave cylinder aswell. Dropped it off the hoist, quick trip round the block and all good, job done in just under two hours! So after bedding in the clutch for a 1000ks, finally went to give it a spanking & my ebc won't engage high boost! Push any of the buttons and nothing, guess I need a new one! That was bout a month ago. But in the time being I been busy painting! Having a lot of parts left over from the old car comes in handy. Being able to take my time and paint things right, the first time. Now it's only the brakes, cam & timing belt covers, but I wanted them done right, but on the cheap. So these were all painted by me with aerosol cans, the colour is ford shockwave, and is full of metallic when in the sun. This is the paint, brought from super cheap. Primed, coloured, cleared & colour sanded, the results speak for themselves. I also wrapped the coil cover in carbon vinyl. Once I order some gaskets I will be putting them on! Can't wait, will add some needed colour to the engine bay. I also wrapped the front pipes to the fmic. Well that's bout it for now guys, any Q's just let us know other wise, " May the boost be with you"! Ps anybody else excited about the new Star Wars?
  11. They came out of a gtst 4 door, not sure if their the same. If ya still want them $80.
  12. Noooooo! Devastating to see this! I know how your feeling, hope I didn't jinx you like the post above says. Hopefully the damage isn't too bad.
  13. Nice thread man, cars coming along nicely. Eager to see what it does when ya get it tuned. I've got some rear seats, no rips or stains, could do with a wet vac, but apart from that their good. I'm located in Newcastle, pm me if your interested.
  14. Thanks guys, will look into it!
  15. Can anybody tell me if this be repaired, don't really want to scrap it as there becoming harder to find. Any help would be appreciated. Just not an expert in panel beating, & it being aluminium makes it harder to work of been told.
  16. They stung me $1500, but almost made that back in the parts I sold off it, & still have the entire drivetrain, just finished installing all the go fast bits on the new one, so will put up some new pics soon.
  17. Thought it was time to share my highs & lows of skyline ownership. After buying my first 4door, previously owing a 180, I was hooked on the shape, & the sound of the rb compared to the sr. Also the fact the car had a garrett gt28/71 .64 rear, very responsive and more then enough for the time. Was told by the owner " it's got a nistune & making 237rwkw. After driving it for awhile as it was I was totally satisfied with the tune, so booked in with unigroup engineering to get a retune. Took a day off work drove from Newcastle to girraween in Sydney, only to discover the car didn't have a nistune chip, but a "flash" chip, & they couldn't tune it. So got them to order me in a nistune and booked in again for the next week. Got there the next week, and in the dyno with the "flash" chip car only made 160rwkw, a lot less then the 237rwkw I was told it had, so with the nistune in & tuned to a safe tune, it being my daily driver, it made 202rwkw. I was happy, but more so with the tune itself, car behaved & drove perfect.next up was the way it looked, the front guards were aftermarket fibreglass, and never fit good enough for meseeing though the car already had a gtr bonnet & genuine front bar, I decided to get gtr guards. Tracked them down, got them painted aswell as the front bar. Top is before bottom is afterwas so happy with how it came outbut with the highs, come the lows! Not even 12hrs later this happened!was devastated! A 50+ woman pulled out of a side street, & I had nowhere to go. Insurance company wrote it off, the drivers side chassis took most of the impact & warped almost all the way to the firewall! with the front bar off, the damage looks a lot more here you can see the front bar support piercing the oil cooler.fan through the shroud so after getting the insurance money minus the money to buy the wreck back, I brought thishad to fly to the Gold Coast, but was well worth it, very clean & almost standard. The only mods are FMIC turbo back exhaust, coilovers, alloy rad & r33 gtst gearbox. so now after stripping the old car and selling most of the parts off, then buying new gaskets, hoses & clamps, & a few other things that were damaged in the crash, I'm just about ready to put it all on my new car.here is some of the parts waiting to go on, have it booked into get it all fitted next week. Can't wait, after driving the car for almost six months now the way nissan intended, I'm definitely ready for more boost! So that's it for now, sorry if it's a bit long tried to shorten it, will update once the work is done, so thanx for those who made to the end, & keep boostin!
  18. dont have a thread yet, but got plenty of pics & the rest of the parts are going on next week. Been meaning to do one just got to get the time to sit down and write it up!
  19. Awesome thread man! & nice looking 32. I had a 4 door myself, which I put a genuine gtr front end on.this pic was taken after driving it home from the panel shop! this wasn't even 12hrs later! Chuck pulled out in front of me, bent chassis. Car was written off, was not happy[emoji26]. But have another one now, and I'm currently putting all the parts i salvaged off the old one, minus gtr front end.keep up the good work, eager to see how it turns out.
  20. Sounds like the guy has been watching too many hot rod shows! Remind him his buying an import, not a yank tank!
