  1. Yeah I've discovered that as well. Now I'm looking for someone that has an N1, if I can convince them to help me I'm going to clone the harness. If I get it to work I'll post up a diagram and a write up so others can do it as well.
  2. yahoo auction japan might have some like that.
  3. In search of an r32 gtr N1 heater harness to either buy or make a copy of. Nissan part number is 24042-01U00. Nissan has no stock available. Anyone that knows someone with an r32 N1, it would be greatly appreciated if you could ask them to contact me. Thanks
  4. Update, I aquired an N1 heater control unit. There are 3 plugs on the back as opposed to the standard 2 plugs on the econ unit. After a little research it looks like I need a different harness to make it work. Does anyone know of a member with a genuine N1 car or someone already running the N1 heater control that can verify the partnumber on their air control wiring?
  5. so this part comes crated with a few kilos of cocain right? This cant be the standard price for these parts?
  6. Hello, Im working on an N1 replica interior with the stereo deleted, however I would like to use an Ipod to play music through the cars speakers. Im very unsavy when it comes to audio equipment, is there a piece of equipment that would allow me to do this? Id like to use the Ipod for sound control as well, audio quality isnt a huge issue. Thanks
  7. My r32 GTR has the same situation you explained, stock clutch, stock drivetrain. I can force the movement but tapping and releasing the accelerator at low speeds, with the windows down I can hear movement at the rear and it sounds like the diff is pitching back and forward. I ordered some whiteline bushes, Ill let you know if that corrects of lessens the "backlash".
  8. Looking for these parts or information on where to get them, The cluster hood with rear window switch delete and hazard switch with deleted radio buttons. Im trying to finish up my N-1 style interior and these are the only pecies I do not have yet. I Do not need any of the other switches so if you want to keep them you can, I can also send you the parts from my car at no cost to you. Part numbers are hazard switch- 2529001U10 cluster hood- 6824005U11 I am not looking to low ball anyone on prices, good money for good parts. Aaron
  9. I am in the process of removing my AC system and came across an N1 heater control unit for heat only that I would like to install in place of the standard Econ unit in my 90 gtr. Been looking for some info as to weather they are compatible or not and I'm mostly turning up treads on N1 vented bumpers. Does anyone have any info on this or maybe can help point me in the right direction?
  10. I have not driven any other R32s but I have owned many older cars such as a 68 firebird and a 73 mustang. The normal cause for movement is worn and very soft bushings. I do not believe the transmission is to blame. Normally there are two areas which I work on, the first being the pivot point of the shifter it self and the second being the movement of the engine and trans (motor and trans mounts). This has worked for me in the past (most recently in the STi I mentioned above), so I want to address this first, I just want to ask move experienced members if they had done this already as I would rather learn from others mistakes than my own on this. Thanks for the replies, I think I might try the nismo short shift and possible get the solid shifter bush to test out later down the road. As for the motor and trans mounts I want to try and find harder units but if nothing ill stick with the nismo units and the super pro kit.
  11. Thanks, I guess I should have mentioned that this is for a street only car. I was reading up on the nismo short shift and was seeing alot of complaints about grinding gears (posibly due to excess force and overshift?), so I was going to bypass this option for now unless it helps with the problem I am trying to fix. Are there any mounts availible other than the nismo mounts? On my STi I used a set of cusco engine mounts and they were perfect, much better than the factory upgraded N1 mounts but not a lot of vibration transfer to the chassis. Im not looking for solid mounts or anything, just trying to expand my options.
  12. The gm truck coils are much better than the stock units, I am willing to make minor sacrifices in brand loyalty for the gain of reliability and performance (although I will be trying to hide to coils and wires as best as I can). Here is a picture, unsure of the paint code or manufacturer, wheels are volk gtc.
  13. just got my GTR and one of my first projects is going to be to remove the play from the shifter (its a big annoyance to me). I have been doing a little research and game up with the GKT solid shifter bushing ( http://www.gktech.com/index.php/s15-r32-r33-gtr-solid-shifter-bushing.html ), superpro trans poly bushings ( http://www.superpro.com.au/superpro-parts/SPF2476K ), and possibly the nismo motor and trans mounts. based on my experience with my 04 STi these are similar to the upgrades I used, and the results were amazing. However I cant seem to find alot of info reguarding reviews for these parts on the GTR and I just wanted to ask what people have been doing to tighten up their shifter or if anyone has any experience with these parts. I did find some reviews on the nismo mounts but they ranged from no different than stock nissan mounts to the greatest thing since sliced bread, so Im looking for a little more info to form a better opinion on these. If this topic has been covered somewhere else I appologize, the forum search was not very helpful and I ended up using google to search through this as well as the canadian and UK forums and only came up with some threads on the nismo mounts, so if you you can point me in the right direction that would be great as well. thanks
  14. Hello, Just bought my 90 GTR this month and wanted to get into the forums right away so I can start soaking up some information. I own a 93 RX7 R1 with a 6.6L V8 with direct port NO2 and a 2004 STi with about 10K in suspension. When I moved to japan last may I immediately began looking for a GTR as I have always admired them and wanted to experience it, so I ended up locating a 2002 GTR Mspec NUR in millineum jade at an exporter near yokohama and worked out a price. After transfering the full payment I was told that the car was being sold to another customer in NZ even though I had already paid. This started a very heated battle in which I was told by the governing organization for car exporters in japan that the dealer was clearly in breach of the organizations guidelines but they would take no action against the dealer. I later found out that if I had been japanese it would have been a huge deal but since I am american they could care less. I was extremely put off by this and almost decided to not buy a car at all, until a red GTR came up for sale on base. At 136000k it was almost perfect for what I look for in a car. The only modifications were an intake and exhaust, everything worked with the exception of the interior clock and it was nearly rust free through the entire body and frame. My plans for the car are to clean and restore the engine bay to stock appearence, upgrade to GM LS truck coils and N1 turbos looking to make 350hp with some nismo supporting mods (I want to build it using mostly manufacturer parts), replace every suspension bushing I can with poly bushings and tighten up the motor and tranny with stiffer mountings to reduce play in the shifter, and finally refresh the paint and body panels (the paint is a bright red respray). I am looking forward to getting to work and hopefully I can contribute something to forum as well as learn from your experience. Aaron
