I have a set of these wheels but they are stamped made in china on the back. Do I have fakes or do 5zigen make these overseas?
-
This comment nails it for me. While the new one looks great and by all accounts is an amazing machine, I feel like it just looks like any other modern supercar. The original nsx really looks like nothing else. As above, maybe if we had seen it develop into this through model generations I would be more excited about its looks.

Is there some way to rotate the acuator? I can't get a vac hose onto it because the hose tail is pointed towards the intake pipe.

Plazmaman Manifold Before / After Dyno Anyone ?
mistermeena replied to Torques's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I doubt there's much difference at all in most applications. The obvious benefit is not having the ugly and annoying crossover pipe...and slightly shorter cooler piping I guess. -
That's a decent idea haha easier than getting verniers in there I suppose. Can't do much until the injectors arrive now so I guess the car is on stands for a while longer. cheers guys.
-
yeah the seller is exchanging the injectors for the 1/2 height ones instead, and I'll just have to take some careful measurements and get the spacers machined down. I dont want to be grinding and welding on the plenum when I know that there are kits that fit straight in and I don't want the rail too close to the plenum anyway
-
ah bugger I was told this kit would go straight in. In that case does anyone sell the shorter spacers that go under the bolts to mount the rail? It doesnt look to me like I can shave the plenum back enough to make it fit.
-
please help this is driving me nuts lol. I'm upgrading injectors and I can't get it to fit. I bought a raceworks r33 rail kit, and xspurt 1000cc injectors. First I tried fitting it with the injector collars but the stock plenum fouls on the top of the rail. So then I tried plugging the injectors straight into the rail (without the collars) and it still wont clear the plenum! I'm sure that I've seen heaps of people using the raceworks rail and xspurt 1000s so I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Any advice? Supplier said he sells many of these exact kits to fit r33s without issues. pics below.

R33 Gtst Track Car - The "f**k Bitches, Get Money" Build

For a car this serious I cant imagine the 595's, ku36s and all those "street semis" being worthwhile. They're expensive but its worth stumping up for a proper semi -
R33 Gtst Track Car - The "f**k Bitches, Get Money" Build
mistermeena replied to R31 drift pig's topic in Motorsport Builds
I've been using the Federal FZ201 in 235 and 255, because I got them slightly used at a bargain price. I'm pretty happy with them (for the price I guess), but the quickest tyre on our short track seems to be the z221 -
How well does the 43SAT go with the journal bearing instead of ballbearing? I want to buy one but not sure that I can quite afford the ballbearing option...or should I just save a little longer and hold out for the ballbearing option?

looks good and I love the dash. Did the s14 mirrors fit well or take a bit of stuffing around? There are very few cheap alternatives for r33s that I've found -
255 On An 8in Rim?

255 On An 8in Rim?
mistermeena replied to mistermeena's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks guys that's pretty much what I wanted to hear. -
Had a mate recently have a problem with a dba t3 which we suspected had warped. He went to repco who made contact for him and dba sent a replacement rotor straight up - despite the purchase being 2 months past the warranty. Interestingly, he was also running the 324mm rotor with the "dogbone" spacer on gts-t calipers
-
Does anyone know if its going to be a problem to run 255s on an 8 inch rim? Ive bought some used semi slicks for the track and the rears are 255 on 8s. I realise this isn't ideal as the recommended maximum is a 245 on an 8, but I'm just wondering if this is going to be outright stupid to run on them? Our track is very small, about a 40-45 second lap, and max corner speed would be less than 85/90kph. Its the last round for the year and I'm upgrading from 215 semis, so I'm really hoping to nail a pb haha

So i finally got a chance to test this properly. Seems to have worked fine in terms of positioning and vibration etc. There is a really annoying sound coming through the video that I cant hear in the car though.
-
I reckon that's working well and is about as good as it gets in terms of vibration anyway though right? Regardless how stiff your mount is its going to transfer the bumps through the car. My sprints event is this weekend so I'll see how it goes
-
yeah the genuine suction is like $60-70 though right? I'd prefer the headrest mount for half that although I haven't tried it. My car doesnt see much road use so interior light is no bother.
-
yeah the plastic base is quite soft so Im unsure how it will go with vibration etc. I've only done a few short road tests so far and its been fine but I'm going to try it out at the track end of this month and see how it goes. How did you attach the magic arm to the baseplate?
