NZ R33 Long Term Build
Looney_Head replied to R3N3's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
heads up for the cert, when i did mine, i had to have two loops due to how and where the center hanger was. great work on the car, looking and sounding good. and solid power -
Hi, i ended up pulling the pump off and porting out the oil by-pass and going to a 5w/30 oil. that has fixed it. i now see 100~PSI peak

hahaha glad it was a simple fix. but that is funny. great work on the car, the setup is looking good. you could modify the stock airbox to have larger inlet and put a pod filter in it if you wanted to. -
welcome

Hi Rene, very nice build, could i ask a question of whats the distance from your throttle body flange to the end of the DWB TB and silicone adapter? i am wanting to convert my setup to DBW and want to see if it will fit within the existing piping space -

yeah as Lith said over here E85 is getting hard to get, and it won't be coming to the pump, Gull has confirmed that and no other stations in NZ were interested at all. i haven't played with meth before so wasn't sure if you get the same results as ethanol. the reason i said the EFR is you can make over 550kw on the manifold you have with on -

gutted about the diff, its a shame r230 diffs are so expensive now it will be interesting to see how you go with WMI vs E85. did you look into something like a EFR8474? -
one day i will get more fuel pump and we will send that turbo. it would be a dyno only thing as like Lith said its a menace on the streets with 20psi. it will do rolling skids at 160kph on a 265 semi slick lol and Rand0b, you have said lots of words, but to answer your question, the SX362SXE will not make 900whp, you will not get a 900whp turbo on an RB35 that will have good midrange. going to a S366 wouldn't be worth it from what i have seen. they are laggy and you would have a faster car with more power band

yeah, the goal is to put some softer springs in the back and turn up the launch rpm and boost in first and second to see if the track will hold. i want a 1.8ish 60ft on the MT's lol
