    Looks great.
  5. NICE. So you didnt feel the clutch slipping...... Well my younger brother did that to my car. idjiot drove it, and when it didnt go he pushed it a bit more. He only stoped when there was smoke coming out of the bonnet and the car wouldnt move. When we replaced the clutch, we had to machine the Flywheel also. My mechanic brother said that it got soooo hot the flywheel was puple/blue. :flamed:

  9. your lucky, I only have 15 of them old hard disk. What i was planning to do with it was pop rivet them to a piece of material like a old seat belt. and then wrap that around the Oil Filter.
  10. Open it up and you will see it.
  11. cool, then im going to put all the Computer hard disk magnets i can get onto the oil filter. for those that are not into computers. The magnets you find in dead computer hard disk are Neodymium Magnets
  12. Has anyone used it and does it really work? if so, http://www.off-road.com/ford/reviews/filtermag/ and http://www.performanceproducts.com/Product...=10&partnumber= Im gonna make my own, with hard drive magnets :-)
  13. http://www.ja-gps.com.au/carminder_index.html Want to keep track of an outdoor object for less than $900? Here's the simple answer, built right here in Australia. It is easy to install, and reliable. When installed with a 12v power source, it can send an SMS message to ANY SMS capable mobile phone, giving latitude and longitude, and street directory reference (all capital cities). This unit can be installed anywhere- a bike, car, earthmoving machinery, boat, and trailer. The system can be wired to a car or boat alarm, so that it automatically sends the message when the alarm is activated. The applications are limited only by your imagination, and the range of the GSM mobile phone network. The price of $891 gives you a plain black box, which includes the GPS and GSM aerials, installed mobile phone with pre-set number and SIM card, and power and aerial cabling. You can install it yourself, or employ an auto-electrician. How do you operate it? Just dial the pre-set number of your Carminder using ANY SMS capable mobile phone. Within 30 seconds, Carminder sends you an SMS message, detailing the position, direction and speed of the vehicle in which it is installed. This position can be located on a directory, or a digital map. The SMS service from carminder is pin-code protected, so you have complete control over how and where Carminder messages are sent. What is the cost? The only cost is the six monthly fee (approximately $30) to re-charge the SIM card on the Carminder phone, and the cost of any calls you make to the Carminder.
  14. Thanks, this is part of the reason why I have the "do it yourself" mentallity. I will look into that as an alternative. What I want to pay for is for someones time ( skills ) plus the parts not time + parts and extra cuase its for an intercooler.
  15. looks great...... and thanks for the pics, thats exactly what I want to do when my cooler arrives. Since you already been there, done that. Can I ask a few questions. How much did it cost you just for the piping if you did it yourself or did you get someone else to install it? Does the return pipe need to be bolted to the chasis? cheers
  16. Preferbly cheap, place and rough price per meter etc. Aluminium , mild or stainless steel for a project. Inspired by poor mans MP3 Player for the car. Poject A. Poor mans Dump Pipe. Plan to modify OEM dump pipe... Project B. Poor mans Intercooler Piping. Yes I know, its cheaper to buy it or get someone to make it for you, but you dont learn anything from that and I need another hobby besides toying with computers. Any tips pointers will be greatly appreciated. Especially using home Mig/arc welders. Thanks
