  1. CAS $100 deliverd..
  2. I have 1x for RHS in good condition.. $30 if you are interested. Unfortunately only the one side. fyi: price for genuine nissan rear rack ends... (end of the hicas) is about $90 each.
  3. next we'll find out out shan is out secretly making his own DIY Spinners in his back shed.. if he is.. please lynch him..
  4. Just wondering whether anybody has driven a very nicely setup R32 GTS-T, with a combo of both handling and performance? And what these mods are? I know quite a few R33 GTS-T owners try to get a balance between the two (even then thats a small minority) .. but its quite hard to get a yardstick when it comes to the R32. Other than SK's valuable comments to do with his race R32.. there aren't many too many on here who have raced their R32 GTS-T at the track, what they have found the weaknesses are, and how they can be improved, and what they might do again. Has anybody other than Roy and SK actually have R32 they have spent as much on the handling as the performance stuff? I'm quite impressed by how my R32 is coming along, only with a few basic handling mods so far.. can't wait to get a few more things on it. please no r33 vs r32 comments in here.. ive owned both.. just some R32 setups, and what has been done. :headbang:
  5. It needs changes, I believe the main changes are for the different ignition system.. coils are same, but ignitor is different, cas, injectors (low vs high) +extra cc. Other differences no doubt.
  6. there is too many conflicting thoughts on what and what isn't a type m.. I have what I think is a genuine "non type-m" but half the stuff of what people says defines a non type-m is not even true.. anyhow, i wouldn't worry too much about what you claim in the ad, as most people will have no idea anyhow. As long as its got the proper 4pot brakes, I wouldn't worry too much
  7. Thing is, not many people of wider society would if given the choice. Most people cannot handle a fast car, actually get scared of taking it to the limits. Ever tried to take most people for a proper drive in a fast car? say your parents, etc. Half the time they'll be begging to be let out after 2 mins after you really give it some stick.. People want a new car, one thats in the tv, in the movies, in the papers, one that all their friends who know shit all about cars go "wow, he's got some money, sexy car".. and lets face it, most women know nothing about cars and will swoon over any bloke that has one of them, yet GTR they will just be "meh, whatever'.. just because its *new*.. Most of the world seems to lust after a new car, even though they lose tens of thousands of dollars on it, no guarantee of being more reliable, and not necessarily a better car. But hey, as they say, people are stupid.
  8. you're going to be bumping forever as you're not going to find a complete set anytime soon.. its easier / cheaper to pick up the individual parts as I have had to do.. whats a few bolts anyhow?
  9. Getting a bit old.. no longer a "glamour car".. Think people that have money, just associate them with the other "hoon" cars.. and go for your more prestigious cars. There are also a few more options available, such as 350Z, RX8, etc, in that market now and lets face it.. its only a small number that use them for their full capacity. Mate my has an R33 GTR vspec.. drives it once a week, and drives it like any other car. Thinking of selling it, because he realises "what is really the point having a car that can go 200km/hr when you can only go 100km/hr at most". He pretty much bought it "just to have", the performance bug isn't really in him.. Once upon a time it was cool to have a GTR because there werent that many around, and it was something different. Now not so sure.
  10. ha, funny.. sounds like he could even be trying to shaft you.. but yeah.. you never pay it to the seller..
  11. what tyres are they? I run cheap semi slicks on the rear, never have had any trouble with the cops up here. I actually find tyre wear on them is as good as any other tyre.. not sure why. My thoughts are that they grip better, therefore they spin less before gripping.. the spinning is what wears the tyres usually on normal road tyres(??). But of course, depends which tyre they are.
  12. try some fuel injector cleaner.. I have always been dubious about them, but after replacing everything else, and the o2 sensor.. injector cleaner *seems* to have made the biggest difference. Gone from about 350 a tank, up to 500 a tank, mix of city and highway driving... all with a bottle of injector cleaner. That is pretty much going from 15L/100km back down to 12L/100km(!). This is on an RB20DET, and I am usually fairly heavy footed.
  13. I have soldered a few things, ps2 chips, etc.. the soldering part isn't that hard part.. I even did first year electronics in Uni (fat lot of good that did though ) I checked all the voltages on the diagram and even they seem pretty much to spec, all resistors have been checked for resistance across each via multimeter. Have resoldered many connections.. The LED is lighting up. I am getting 5V at TP2 after adjusting the variable resistor, apply 5v at source, etc. I'm half giving up diagnosing as I've spent hours on it.. and buying some replacement parts to try and swap in. First time I put it together, diode round the wrong way... popped a transisitor. Replaced that, and still no go - so must be something else, possibly inside one of the IC's has fried. Thats a good point re the cable - I used the grey 25 pin cable provided from jaycar and that was recommended as part of the group buy.. Hope its the right one??? Now its really just pissing me off, and when something pisses me off enough I don't stop until I've beat it :Pimp2:
  14. ooo.. low blow narko.. but anybody who wants the ultimate ricemobile available.. its at some dealer up here for $24k.. don't all rush at once uniquecar magazine hey, the r32 is stock looking as they come at the mo.. (oh 'xcept for the gtr bonnet).. and thats the way its staying for a couple of years. aftermarket crap just tends to fall of with the way i drive anyhow.
  15. unless you really make some wise decisions with both the R33 and the R32.. $10k won't get you far on either.. and you'll be disappointed in the end. just get something with traction.. second hand VR4+$10k on mods.. easy plate hander..
  16. I didn't say that, chris did.. but I do agree with that too I am sure gavin wood would give the car a good check over and thumbs up or down.. he has probably seeen more skylines than trees.
  17. Bash it back in.. I think its just wedged in there... ??
  18. knore had massive trouble finding one.. don't like your chances.. ask him where he found his.. p.s. that photo is copyright
  19. :bahaha: very good stuff.. scarily close to the real thing.. haha
  20. ahhh.. did think it could be possible.
  21. we are talking turbo R32 here.. and I don't believe any factory turbo came with 4 stud and turbo.. type m or otherwise.. there was no CA18DET in R32.. there was a CA18i .. different..
  22. thats a good point.. the rims on that black one I think are only 4 stud, as I used to have a pair of them I bought for the R31.. non type-m still have 5 studs.. so something is amiss..
  23. yes, sorry 10.5 turns.. approximately 142lbs/inch .. almost seem a little too soft compared to your suggested "optimal" 200lbs/inch rate for gts-t so might not use them.. although they seem quite firm compared to my stock springs (probably long dead at 15 years old ) They are Kings.. KDRL-10's.. I was thinking the spring rate must be the only difference between the S13 because fit wise similar I've been told between s13 rears and R32 (?). Proper R32 GTS-T springs are listed as KDRL-101's.
  24. pro beater should be able to repair it for under $1000.. unfortunately any scrape, no matter how minor can be costly to repair. You may be surprised how well the cut and polish takes it out.. and maybe you will be able to leave it like that until you get some cash to repair it properly.. but of course "you" will always know its there, and where to look at.. that always sucks. Mines got a few small minor dents and long scratches.. that from 5-10m away you can barely see at all and the car looks "straight as".. but in bright sunlight and close up they're obvious enough.
