  1. Apparently Matt can make rain magically disappear from the sky.. I am not too convinced though as the forecast says rain for the rest of the week.
  2. best to start again.. When you know where you are aiming, you should have no problems. GTS4 ? too heavy.. too much other crap to go wrong/blow up... stick with the RWD! I thought about it.. could of got a GTS4 for same price, in the end, still glad I got the "t" ..
  3. There was a page in here, I am sure it was the wanted section in response to somebody looking for the factory item, and it was explained how to make it with fairly clear instructions.. but I can't find it in here anymore either
  4. Either get a proper drill (none of this cordless shit).. and a hole cutter that fits onto the end of the drill. Again, a drill from bunnings will cost you $30 and even ok quality. The hole cutters are NOT expensive (bad strutto) for the cheap ass one.. about $15. You will probably destroy the blade, but just throw it out afterwards. Problem is that its probably not going to be wide enough diameter, so you may have to do two side by side. Otherwise, Bunnings.. anglegrinder.. this is what I used no problems. Just draw up a "box" and cut 4 straight and neat lines. Anglegrinder is about $30 these days (nothing) and even not too bad quality.. thinner disc is about $2..Angle grinder is $30 entertainment in itself, shoots off all sorts of fireworks.. you'll be going "weeeee" the whole time..
  5. as gts4diehard is saying.. rear rack ends are probably a good idea to replace too if you're doing the subframe bushes, as they will firm up the rear, and stop some movement there as well. as pointed out by the suspension place I got the work done, even if you lock the HICAS.. you still have something decent on the ends to hold it in place Made a bit of a difference in mine at higher speeds with a firmer feel
  6. Motorists don't have any rights anymore.. I thought we all knew that??
  7. Are we talking about that dirty big silver square can thing ?? I have always wondered what that was for .. There is a fair bit of info on diagnosing this particular area in Section EN-307 of the RB20DET engine manual, as well as some good block diagrams.
  8. er.. 2 months ago guys..
  9. Omfg Thats SUPER!!!
  10. my car sat over in japan for about 4 months .. I assume just sitting there in some storage yard somewhere. got her in the driveway, turned the key and started.. that was nice even got original japanese fuel with my import.. now that was cool
  11. where are you in NSW? down in sydney?
  12. no.. and i don't baby it for "first 5 minutes" either..
  13. why do people pay so much for 17" GTR rims when that price can get you some really nice different rims? never understand it..
  14. If its a hybrid copy one, then some have said they can make that sort of noise.. I've got the same and nothing.. so maybe its just luck of the draw??
  15. also the post is over 3 years old.. good work there digging that one up!
  16. there should be two bolts holding the seat down on bottom left and bottom right.. if they're not there, your seat isn't be held in correctly! but yeah, just push in, and shove really hard upwards. You can also try maybe bending the sides of the seat in with your arms whilst pushing up.
  17. man u love getting half way with stuff don't you.. finish em bitch! either that or give em to somebody else to finish up..
  18. I find issue with the "modded its been thrashed" sometimes.. well mb not that... the modded its going to **** it .. Ok, now an exhaust, is probably actually going to reduce the backpressure, probably reducing temperatures at the turbo, and possibly increasing turbo life. An aftermarket ECU in conjunction with boost controller, if adequately tuned may actually reduce stress on the engine by preventing missfiring, overfueling, etc when the power is raised. Would you rather somebody who had just kept the stock ecu "as is" and tampered with the boost at some point in stupid ways via say a bleed valve (indetectable)?? or somebody who had done it properly?? Now the key point is - how can you really "thrash" a car in Australia's main cities? 60km/hr speed limits, 100km/hr highways, etc.. even if you accelerate as hard as possible at every opportunity, if you "thrashed" the car around, redlined it in every single gear all day every day I doubt you're soon well well over the speed limit. Trashing a skyline is like redlining it to 250km/hr.. Its not even that possible that often! Now as long as its been adequately tuned, and fluids changed, etc - I don't think there would be much of an issue. These cars were made for a bit of pasting, and that is why the engines are overengineered to take a lot more power, and handle a few stupid things. Track racers? its hard enough to fill numbers even at your average track day, through so many road users scared to push their cars, blow up an expensive RB26dett, spend the money, etc, etc. Its not a big thing here in Australia. Maybe 1 in 50 skylines here would actually see a racetrack, drift day or official drag strip, if that.. But I am sure it can be disputed of course... and it depends on the level of modifications afterall.
  19. tentantively sold to the above if sale falls through, will readvise.
  20. a) this guy isn't even responding to any of these stupid queries months after his original post. B) looks like he could even be a possible dodgy trader, and yet you keep posting.. fools is all i can say..
  21. I have a set of "drift spec" springs to suit R32 (unknown brand) that came with a set of shocks I bought. These are rock hard, and very low.. Height is approximately 4-5cm lower on the front, and about 4-5cm on the rear than the standard springs. But I haven't installed them in my car so couldn't tell you exactly how much they will drop the car -- but pretty damn low. Fronts are 24.5cm tall, and rears are 29cm tall if that helps you. Bit of small oxidisation, but nothing major. As you can see, they would mainly suit hardcore drift use, or if you have big bollocks..street use as well. Unfortunately I've never installed them, you'll just have to try yourself to see how they go. Asking $100 the set. Postage would be about $16.. if you can tell me your postcode, I can give you an exact figure for postage. I installed them quickly into a set of stock shocks (not included) .. one front, one rear.. so you can see how they will sit in a standard shock. If you have adjustable jap-style coilovers you can probably adjust them so they sit better - and this is probably what they're more designed for.
