  1. utes are overpriced.. same problem.. if they're cheap they're stuffed.. best option is still like I said.. cheap early 90's commo or falcon, as much as they suck.. cheap, and plenty of parts around.
  2. Loneranger.. the rear setup in a HR31 is totally different to the R32 or newer skylines as you probably know.. its got a weird thing where the whole subframe rotates from side to side. You basically have to lock the rear pistons in place, and probably a few other things. Replacing your front rack is all very fine (although a little pointless?), but its not going to help much with the rear unless you can lock the rear properly. You might want to look at this.. http://forum.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?...p?topic=19871.0
  3. I'm pretty sure it would be, they are same sized gearbox. You'd have to give it a try. Probably can get new from nissan?
  4. maybe you should let them out?
  5. Depending on how much you pay.. if the all new RX7 sees the light of day, and is anything near affordable and sold locally... the resale on your RX7 could take a smash in the pants.
  6. I don't think you have been reading what they have been saying..
  7. I notice Whiteline on their website is now offering a new range of springs.. XRD with "silicone chrome wiring" Any thoughts or comments on these? Assuming of course they are going to be available for all Skylines(??). I couldn't find an application chart unfortunately. Reading their literature, they obviously think these are an advantage over regular springs, but of course they are going to say that What advantages do they have over any other spring type in practical application? In the next few months will be shopping for a set of springs, so I am interested in some thoughts, and whether they would be worth going for above their regular springs (about $150 more a set I think)
  8. Side question.. when you buy a front stabaliser bar, do you get all the required mounting bushes? That is the U shaped mount ones, and the ones on the end?
  9. I guess it hit the power, but then again it sounds like it blew up.. not sure how much that counts :-s
  10. didn't leewah in melb get like 1 more rwkw or something silly than that to beat it a couple of months ago. Now if its anywhere near 798rwkw, that is truly a few steps above. Somebody needs to confirm the proper autosalon dyno figure.
  11. Rumours are that the reason they really ended the 15 year rule was to stop cheap 4WD flooding the market and slashing the prices of local models (which are very high comparatively). They're definitely not going to allow newer models I would have liked a nice big **** off 4WD that had probably never even seen a country road for $10k too
  12. $16k for a non-turbo R33 ? run, run like the wind as far as you can.. These days $16k will probably buy you a proper turbo .. do that
  13. Thats like 798rwkw
  14. I'll have to see how my car is travelling after the few upgrades I am putting on over next couple of weeks. But I may also be a late attendee
  15. thats insane.. that would have to be the aussie autosalon record smashed right there wouldn't it?
  16. I can't see a major difference in looms if an rb20det PowerFC fits any R32 from 1989 onwards??? Just a quick one.. have you checked the oxygen sensor?
  17. Yeah, the tow limit of an R31 wagon is not too large, I think around 1000kg.. I have thought about it a bit too, as I need something a bit more practical for carrying my bike and other stuff around next year or so, but an R31 Wagon is really not too viable when I really thought about it.. a) decent wagon (not gutless pinny) seem to be WAY overpriced for their age.. Around $3k at least, if not more. Many dreamers who think they are much newer than they really are, or somehow worth a lot more than they otherwise should be. B) Not many around last time I looked up.. up here in QLD anyhow. never mind condition. c) $3k will get you any number of commos, falcons, or likewise wagons with a pretty strong V6 that was built more with towing in mind. Prices on these are much more reasonable, around $3-4k for something 1990 onwards, even sometimes up to 1994, etc. Seems like people have trouble getting rid of them.. So unfortunately, while it might sound like a good idea.. I think the R31 is wagon is poor value for money these days. But if you can find a well priced one, then you might be in luck
  18. what engine?
  19. um, this is nice.. but what are you actually doing?? its a bit hard to tell in the photos, but what makes them glow orange, is that like those orange bubbles?
  20. looks awesome .. black R32 GTR is probably the best looking of the lot I would have given it stick too. If it blows up, guess you wouldn't have proceeded with the sale My mates R33 GTR ATTESSA doesn't really ever seem to kick in too much, even when nailed, but then again he does drive like a bit of a girl Brakes may just need a bit of a flush, and possibly a reco. But that shouldn't cost a massive amount if it does come to that (maybe $200 per caliper)
  21. :werd: best place for it.. its little tube that runs into the back of your plenum..
  22. not a bit little thing.. bit porky at 1477kg for a car of that size.. but I am sure it does go like a dart.. speaking of darts.. turbo kit would make it very interesting.. but the CR of 11 (I assume to get 179kw) probably not the best to turbo charge.
  23. damn other pos 32 bar stealer.. I like the bar.. makes it much more agressive.. good to see a nice looking R32 that looks a bit different. I see you've gone for the black and the gold look there through other parts of the car .. looks good.
  24. must say the regular gold Meguires stuff was pretty damn good.. Although that was about $30-$35.. Another $10 wouldn't kill you I guess.. if its as good as people are saying here You get a fair bit of use out of it. My car has a few scratches that will only disappear after a good wax. Unfortunately a couple of months later they're back again
  25. they often run stories like that... again the "ills of the everyday motorist" battling silly speeding fines.. and yet everybody else is a "hoon"
