  1. might be fast too.. you never know
  2. Well I'm not sure exactly what needs to be done, and don't really have time to rush around getting that sorted at the moment.. Will do so in a couple of weeks - but I know that the CV joint, or engine mount needs replacing. $100 for the safety cert itself + $500 or so for parts and labour to get that fixed, and anything else (and even then I could end up selling myself short). Rest should be ok.. Sales Pitch: I paid $2500 for it when I bought it last year, pretty much same as it is now. Any other N13 still goes for around that price. In fact, looking on carsales right now.. will the cheapest N13 in QLD to come with a safety cert.
  3. My car from japan was sitting there for around 3+ months.. When I started it up over here it ran ok (little rough), and had a pretty foul smell. Just fill it up soon as you can to mix down the crap

    Turbos

You got everything else sorted ? full sway bars, shocks, springs, camber, caster, oil cooler, baffled sump, semi-slicks? etc.. You will get faster bang for buck doing all these things first... The power will be fun, but you're also risking an engine and/or gearbox rebuild.
  5. Then there will be a further outcry, and they'll stop producing them again Especially here in our nanny state here of Australia getting worse and worse. With an SS commodore pushing 300kw (well on the lower side of that in reality), and the LS3 revision pushing even more than that over in the US, which we'll see soon no doubt - we'll see 350kw cars available for under $50k quite soon.. But a 3 series BMW in 10 years will make a GREAT tuners car.. when they drop to under $30k or so (which is about a year after you've bought one )
  6. 6 speed it says - will the one out of a Holden V8. They're pretty strong - and actually Japanese made by Aisin Seiki, partly owned by Toyota
  7. it's chunderfull..
  8. Depends what sort of crack? compound, chip, or just a fracture? I'd actually recommend plastibond for just small fixes, as it's less stuffing around - and quite strong. With fibreglass it's all in the mixing.. I'd just use a spatula. In the end, as long as you get the correct coverage, it will all be sanded back anyhow to the proper shape.
  9. $950 "as is" unregoed or $1600 with safety cert .. It's a great daily, had it for 14 months without problems. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=169359
  10. *** SOLD *** Selling my daily as I've bought another car 1990 Nissan Pulsar Q (series2) 1.8L fuel injected engine 5 speed manual with LSD 273,000km Kenwood CD player with 4 speakers Sports steering wheel Rego till mid-August Km are high, but the car has been very reliable since I got it about 12 months ago. Did QLD to melb and back over xmas without any dramas and I've driven it every day to work. Body is very straight, no major rust, no oil leaks. Parts for this are very cheap if you do have to replace anything, and a CA18DE or CA18DET is a fairly easy swap if you wanted to have fun with it. Aircon is fitted, but not working (gas? not sure). Just changed all the brake pads, and have serviced it a few times since I bought it. just had $800 worth of work for safety certificate including 4 new tyres, and CV joint replaced Price $1600 with safety cert and 3 months rego remaining I'm on the goldcoast. PM or email [email protected] cheers

    Sold My 32

omg - can't believe it.. should'a kept it, just keep buying other cars instead
  12. sucked in? ffs just buy games.. If you're gonna get at least 10 hours entertainment for $90 or so, that's not bad. Most of the chumps who pirate every single game never end up playing anything anyhow as they're too busy spending all their time downloading them all and mucking around with firmware.
  13. It's a fair long way from Gold Coast..around 80 mins drive. You are better off staying in Brisbane, or near there. Even public transport from Brisbane is likely to be 70-90 minute "adventure."
  14. Most of them, my own experiences with justcar, and pretty much a post in every insurance thread stating the wide variation people get when they speak to insurance company. "Sorry we can't insure you" or "to insure will cost you $xx"... person calls back, speaks to somebody else "sure we can insure you, it's $yy". It's like if I walked into a shop and asked for a loaf of bread, and was given 3 different prices depending on which person was behind the counter. It is probably not illegal, but just silly..
  15. That he told them the truth and they accepted that? Nothing strange there.. What is strange, and unacceptable is the large variation on insurance quotes BY THE SAME PERSON for the SAME CAR merely due to the time a person called. I don't even know whether that is legal..
  16. If you get an import stolen under Just Cars Third Party Fire&Theft.. you will get about $4k back.. My mate's RX7 got stolen.. worth about $12k.. got back $4k. Think it was $5k payout, and then minus 1k or something for 'handing & processing' - basically I think depot fees, while the cops inspected it, etc. Basically, if you want coverage for a theft, don't simply get 3rd party!
  17. he's not cool enough to own a pulsar...
  18. just pull all the shit off it, and put it onto another shell.. easy as..
  19. who?
  20. nah.. the N1 bars have the slots.. others don't
  21. will be same as old skyline r31 or VL
  22. if clearance is a problem, you can get the skinnier ones at any wheel shop for like $3 each..
  23. They got a gear in them, I think the gear itself can strip.. Usually it's that one on the RHS of the box.
  24. Just received mine today.. seem sturdy and well made
