  8. what you doing willis? that talk is crazy with no license of which to speak of..
  9. actually, that's incorrect.. the VQ35DE was voted in Wards top 10 engine list from 2002-2007. They are a world leading engine.. The VQ35DE is built in Iwaki, Japan and Decherd, TN. It was on the Ward's 10 Best Engines list for 2002 through 2007. The Nissan VQ engine is the only engine to have been present on the list every year since the competition’s inception in 1995. source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ward's_10_Best_Engines
  10. It's been so long I've done it (12 months), I am probably not much help.. But not *all* of the colours match...you're best off with the pin diagrams from the ECU's.. I do remember the yellow/red and I believe one was just auto only... TPS also has an extra wire for the auto ecu to decide the kick down and things, but that is not required if you're going manual. With your relays, the red I believe you just need to find a 12v constant, or 12v IGN (I forget which), as the r33 ecu is slightly different with the relays - and those wires don't go up into the engine bay like the 32 does. The thick black/white stripey is ground *from what I remember* so can go to chasis.. but anyhow, make sure you check. My memory is so rusty, I really need to check the wiring again.. but that would require pulling out everything at the footwell.
  11. Yeah.. I thought it was poor form to take all the deposits and then say "oh btw, I'm off now, I'll be back ..later".. I've already asked for my deposit back, as I bought off Sherwin above.
  12. Probably the front wheels up on wheel stands, and then jacking up the rear and using 2 stands on the back would be safer. Just gives the front some further stability. That is what I've used before.
  13. I would say 99% sure.. seeing as rb20 and rb25 starters are interchangeable - maybe even same model as the GTR ones... I would image they would swap over on what is essentially the same engine.
  14. series 3? 89/90 models have different auto box.. use one from a series1 or 2 and you should be right..
  15. sign xtreme.. blah, blah.. 50 billion of them on the goldcoast.. I'll ask on monday where all our cars get stickered up and costs for you..
  16. God Of War II on PS2.. awesome.. It's almost a nextgen game on the last gen system, it's that good. also Forza 2 demo
  17. yeah... I think it's a good thing the game has been delayed - should mean that it's better than ever, and they will tweak the physics, sounds, and some of the smaller things a lot. I'd be a bit disappointed with just a GT4 with better graphics. I'd want something that made maximum use of the PS3. By the time GT5 is ready the PS3 should be a lot cheaper too (well at least around $500).
  18. Seems nice and snappy so far.. I guess a lot of it comes down to the efficiency of IPB coding more than anything else - but I assume they have done it as intelligently as possible on that side. I've found that tweaking a few of the mysql settings can do wonders, especially on larger databases (like I assume the message table on here)
  19. I've got knock sensors connected up & they were working on my PowerFC when I had that installed? Did you trace these from the old loom to knock1 and knock2 pins on the rb25 ECU? Not sure if the dash light warning for knock works or not, never tried it.. I did connect up engine check light wire to the ecu, so they should. AFAIK - knock comes from engine to ECU as incoming .. output of ECU goes to engine warning light on dash. If that sequence is fine, I would say the dash light should work for knock if you set it.
  20. I must say the speed of the new forum is very impressive - should have shifted long ago There is nothing like a well tuned US server for reliability.. Do you hand tune the database settings? what db is it running? I'm just working with a 1million record database at the moment, so just curious, as I'm working on some optimisation myself.
  21. oyy.. i read that! 'sif I wouldn't have a better car if was selling lots of drugs..
  22. Well as in the realistic things I want to do to my r32.. buddy club P1 17's.. few more suspension replacements, rb25 gearbox, rollcage, gt2835 - reckon it won't be all done for another 2 years though. Thats about it.. should do mid 12's, match most gtr around the track, and be still drivable. That's all I want.
  23. I've forgotten a lot of the wiring details sorry.. mine was auto, so it had a lot of wires going to the auto computer that I didn't need going to manual. The engine I bought came with alternator belt, so didn't have to worry about that (I believe it's just same as rb20, the alternators are the same). AC belt is the same.. and power steering belt I just used the RB20 one. So basically from what I remember, use the RB20 ancillaries, and use the standard RB20 belts. If you do need slightly longer ones, the belts are fairly standard.. they're either 3 rib or 4, and can be obtained in a number of different lengths that fit other cars. Aircon belt I used was Dayco 4PK0925
  24. I don't actually have your account details on file.. PM them to me..
