  1. Hey matt.. what was the problem you were having exactly? I am having a problem on my HR31.. with the LHS hub handbrake tends to stay jammed on once disengaged - resulting in the LHS wheel locking up, and other dangerous things. I've had to resort to disconnecting the handbrake completely - and the problem had gone away.. but of course no handbrake. I have taken off the disc, and had a look, sprayed some WD40 in the assembly in the hub, but this did not appear to fix the problem. any advice on this issue would be great from anybody.
  2. I've got a R200 longnose diff. Unfortunately its a factory open spinner - but centre can be probably be replaced with LSD.. 4.3:1 ratio. Is in good condition, however one of the shaft seals will need replacing (apparently about $25 from nissan). I bought this for the Passage as I thought it may need new diff, however appears as if the current diff in there isn't too bad and was a handbrake problem - so no longer required. I'm on the goldcoast, and pickup is preferred. Postage will be expensive. You will have to organise a courier to pick it up. These are fairly rare and hard to find. This is off a HR31 Passage, but apparently fits other nissans of 80's era and earlier. Asking $300.. 0417 016 326 or email [email protected] Can provide pix if required.
  3. You know the type.. 600x300x75 Selling this as I've decided I want to go with a slightly smaller cooler for my R32. Good quality cooler - polished end tanks, very nice looking. Never used, in as new condition. Will provide photos soon. Asking $220 - which is I think cheaper than anywhere you can buy these new at the moment. Pickup only from the goldcoast.. or maybe if i am up in brisbane I *may* be able to drop it off. 0417 016 326 or PM.
  4. same shit different smell... on my r32 gts-t .. base just pulls out.. top two bolts and top slides up.. i did notice it was a little harder to slide up compared to my R33.
  5. Today just converted the front to the more modern Series3.. Just needs the proper import GTS grille for the proper import look at the front.. Price is only $4600 with the new front!. Everybody who has been in this car is impressed by it.. something different and goes nearly as hard as an R32

  9. are the proper prices the ones at the top of the thread? What are the prices Niroth is quoting above - the wrong ones?
  10. On stock internals? not even rebuilt? they're pretty damn impressive figures. I would have thought something around 200rwkw would be fine (an RB30E turboed will do similar), but over that I thought it might be a time bomb. But considering you can't really "lose" much blowing a stock n/a bottom end, then you may as well!
  11. Genesis / glen is a good guy.. met him personally many times honest wholesome values, strong family lineage, smells like chicken.
  12. I think R34 has a little more interest.. as they are different. rather than driving around in a week in QLD and I could see every possible variation of R33 out there, stealth wings, giant wings, this set of rims, this front bar, this kit, this exhaust system, this tint, this set of stickers. not saying they are crap, just saying that they are the majority and everybody sees them every day. one of the reasons i sold the R33.. even my mates started buying them :ghost:
  13. sorry erin.. but r33 are boring
  14. um, you are probably best going to the "whole cars forsale" section and looking in there for what you are after. If somebody has a skyline they are trying to sell, common sense follows that it would be advertised there. Car sellers may not necessarily look in this section.
  15. ouch - sorry I didn't read the first part properly - I thought it was just a misfire in #6.. my bad
  16. I probably wouldn't worry about it too much unless it's quite major.. all of the RB powered cars I have been in have had a slight hickup at idle every now and then. Especially if its cylinder 6 at idle, probably has a little less air getting to cylinder 6 from the back of the plenum under low pressure , creating a slight jump. It may also be to do with the spark plug gap being too short for perfectly smooth idle, but fine for everyday driving and putting the boot in.
  17. mmm.. interesting ones aren't they. They are only on R32 era cars too.. I have disconnected mine totally and have not observed any ill effects. I've basically connected my boost gauge into the factory plenum position at the back. Seems to work fine.
  18. :werd: webdeveloper extraordanaire.. good rates, good shit.. I build websites and program them, good y-awl! my ma even sayz soz.. (um when did this become about ourselves?)
  19. looks like what I thought was the finish line, was not in fact the finish line, and that the pace car was braking for the hard right S bend - and that there is a bit more of the track to go. easy done!! the lesson in all of this is: don't drink and drive kids!!
  20. It's an expensive conversion proposition... especially on an n/a auto! to be honest... you may even get a better result with the rb25 engine and spending the extra $ on the ancillaries, rather than a dead stock rb26dett and no cash left. rb26dett when something goes wrong tend to be kind of expensive.
  21. mmm ..problem is that I need to do it in one day, car on the road the next, it's my only registered car atm. Some good lines allround could be worth it however, as I am starting to lean towards the highflow rb25 idea - then I only do things once. anyhow, offtopic .. sorry!
  22. yeah, there are some :bs!: bugs... I noticed that kw one.. I reckon a rather major one.. As when you get your car done up, you like to know how it's going to go in the actual race. I always like to compensate my crappy driving with more power for instance Instead you get some b.s. figure in the garage, and then some other different b.s. kw figure when you race. You'd think the ****ers would have looked at this point over some 4 years of development I'd send my game back for a recall to get that issue fixed for a start. Also, I have another weird one. I am doing the "local A" licences. I have done all the other ones, but the full Suzuki circuit one where you have the newer Honda TypeR is right pissing me off. The required lap time (for at least bronze) is 3:00 or so, and yet I am getting around at about 2:30, and yet it's telling me I damn failed!! I do it perfectly.. nearly catch the pace car at the end.. go straight through the centre of the finish line. Do everything right AFIAK. I've done it like 20 times now.. grr What the hell is going on? Am I missing something?!
  23. Late last night I was having some random "connection refused" messages to a lot of different sites.. I've had it a few times over the last week. I think as well as the possible ban on some ranges, I think that is also a current issue with some ISP.. most like Telscum related. I'm on TPG, which is a Telstra reseller.
  24. great stuff.. I actually need some lines fairly soon to hook my RB25 turbo up (for a stop-gap till I get a larger one). Think I will be giving them a call. Do they have a good knowledge of RB engines - e.g. can I just go "I want a water line for rb25 turbo onto rb20 block" and they'll know what to send me?
  25. err.. no  when you're desperate for a beer, you're desperate for a beer.. ! hehe
