Time for another Thursday night fun run.. Meet Time: 8pm Meet Spot: Carpark opposite Grand Hotel (Map 19, E20) Leave: 8:30pm Ok, meet spot is no longer BWCP, but about 5-10mins north. It's in the carpark opposite the Grand Hotel, Biggera Waters. There is a playground there just fronting the waterway, and it's just in front of a large seafood restraunt (you can't miss it). NOT the boat ramp carpark First leg is a casual drive down to Tugan, and then back along the highway of around 60mins. This will be followed by another meet. Those that wish to go on the "extra extended tour" (which may be a late one and will involve spirited driving) may choose to do so, or meet back at where we started around 10pm. Further details will be provided on the night. This is not an official SAU meeting, I am not responsbile for anything that happens during the course of this adventure, etc, etc If anybody wants any further details on what I am thinking for the night, please PM. If I don't reply, please don't be offended, as I will only provide further details to those I know personally or roughly enough, for obvious reasons. Cheers,

There is not much chance trying to take a stand against the cops, because they know they can get away with a lot more than they should. The whole targetting thing has been done in Victoria, and QLD is about 2-3 years behind where melbourne is now, but it will happen. There isn't much you can to about it because the media and the oldies in our society (which are the majority unfortunately) rule the roost. There are quite a few ways in which you can modify your car up to 300rwkw or so which is pretty much undetectable by the cops, and the more legal things you can keep on your car, the less likely they have anything to pick out. Goldcoast I know is all about show for the most part.. Making your car out of the pack that isn't the showy one can often save your ass more often than not. You can either let them win, and think they are winning some battle, or just keep doing what you've been doing and just not worry about it. What happens happens, but it's not the end of the world. Only by changing your attitudes have they "won" anything.

R33's are faster.. have more room, and are more modern. R32's are more compact, feel more sporty, and have more direct and better handling I've owned both, and the R32 already feels much better. With an RB25 engine, it would clearly be the fastest and better handling car.

but he has already asked roughly the same questions about 3 times in the last 2 weeks? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=64187 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=63969 Why waste people's time when he can just go back and read eveything in his old threads? Anyhow, if he really has this 12sec car.. I have a TOTALLY FREE solution for making this the ultimate in sleeper.. stick the GTS badges on the GTS-T .. people will be so surprised when you "blow them off at the lights" .. and no need for any expensive mods!

Help - How to tell if the Auto box is slipping?
predator replied to nedb's topic in General Automotive Discussion
what DRFTR33 said.. when it slips.. basically it'll sit there free spinning for a while, before it changes into the next gear. So you'll notice the shifts are a lot more sloppy and slower than they should otherwise do. Mine does that on my R32.. If you have a really shagged auto box it will slip even under moderate load and if very bad even whilst driving fairly sedately. I've noticed it's mainly if you're revving off at 7000rpm.. below that it's not too bad. I think with the turbo skylines, it's a case that the engine loves revving, but the auto box doesn't -
:werd: she's already over you.. like that was your future wife that went and pissed off on you.. don't stress!! and celebrate my friend..
-
nah.. what you want is a BOV that sounds like F&F..
-
some of them in other states work on IR.. they don't need a flash..
-
your gts-t runs 12.1 supposedly.. and you want your gts to be the 'sleeper' that does similar times, just 'because' lay off the smack eh?
-
but this ain't nsw.. in QLD I believe they still do.. everytime I have seen a speed camera it has had the sign. Sometimes, they make half assed attempts to hide it, but it's still there... I believe they should be there as they make people slow down on that section, which is the aim of the cameras.

10psi doesn't make the wheel fall off.. high intake temperatures cause the wheel to fall off..

or possibly even liable for dodgy traders operating through this forum, and hence why all reasonable steps must be taken to prevent them from doing so. Although i don't really know the law there. and dori.. bad luck, word spreads pretty quickly. Any forum basically has the right to prevent access to their forum to however they like, just as any establishment (restraunt, club, hotel, etc) has also. There is not much you can do about it. Anyhow, if you can barely afford the postage charges on a fuel pump yourself, or have to argue the point about $10 postage, then I hardly think you have the successful funds to launch a legal case against anybody..

I like the XP one actually.. blends in a lot more at work, so it just looks like you're looking at any other website.. or even a word doco.. the blue gives it away too much

Experience with Nengun performance?
predator replied to RedEmblem's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Universal Skyline FAQ is needed.. I was going to start, but I have too much other crap I'm doing at the moment maybe one day, unless somebody else pulls through -
Well as I was at the compliance shop getting parts of mine done, I did notice a couple of old japanese buses, and 4x4. Didn't see much else there 15 years old, other than these. So this as a small "sampling" is what is driving the moves, like floody, drifft, etc is saying. Whichever importers made money off the 15 year rule over the last 24 months should probably have enough to comfortably retire by now. If not, then something is amiss. I do think some are not *just* whinging about it to protect just their own interests, although they obviously do have an interest in these cars. Most of them I have spoken to can rabbit on all day about this and that, they do have a genuine interest and it's not *all* just money to them. Maybe I'm just trying to see the good in people where there is none, but that's me I guess. Like I said, if they are a one or two man band and bringing in 100-200 cars per year @ $1500 compliance fee each, somebody is making some big dollars already. If you're a good business person when an opportunity closes you simply go on and milk the next.. Things will settle down over time... Those dealers with the "exclusive" rights to r32 plates will be interesting to see what happens there. Whilst an R32 is kinda cool, it's not worth paying $18k for a stocker. Can't say i've seen a flood of 15 year cars in dealers lately.. a few in the trading post.. but hardly a flood.

I did it sometimes when i was driving my brothers car for a while, because i wanted to blow it up (but it wouldn't comply ) .. also fun for company cars.. Grinds the brakes to crappery though Mainly was just fun entering the corners under brakes and then powering out. Seemed to lose a little less revs that way as you could accelerate whilst braking. Your left foot is always way too muncy though, and tends to lock things up pretty easily. Again, only do this if you have absolutely no respect for the car.

keep bad people away
predator replied to silver gts-t's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
Seems like you've just given up or it's in the 'too hard' basket mods.. that's nice.. How? It hasn't on other forums which have more schemes in place. The reason most people do it, is because they are after a quick buck and want to flog something quickly. They do a quick search, find the forums, then post away 5 mins later.. not in 3 months time once they wait until their account is active. These are not the sort of people that develop elaborate schemes and making this and that up.. or conconct elaborate user accounts 'just in case' they want to sell something dodgy. They're not thinking "oh in 3 months I'll try and flog this stolen turbo I have to get rid of in the next couple of weeks" so I'll signup now... they come here, get something that makes it more difficult, and piss off elsewhere. As nexus says, a valid email from an ISP is also just another way to track back to the originating party. They try flogging their shit on the boards that have these poor verification standards or lazy attitudes that "oh well we can't do anything, why bother". Nothing is fullproof, but neither is being passive about the whole issue. ...report the user's details to the ISP, time/date and range found on. By law they have to investigate the problem and possibly remove or block the account if a fraud allegation is made. Even if you get 50 users bitching how they can't access the website because their IP range is banned, and you tell them "we aren't unbanning it until action is taken on this particular user" - then they're going to be bitching and whinging to the ISP then aren't they until something *is* done. I know that's a bit extreme but pft.. -
Whats A Fair Price For A R32 Skyline
predator replied to SIR_R32's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
:werd: I have driven the R32 properly for about 2 days now.. already it outbrakes, outhandles, and feels more nimble and sporty than my old fairly modified R33. The feedback is just so much more nicer. Can't wait to kick 200rwkw+ into the back of her and let fly. -
What are the part numbers for brake pads?
predator replied to Duncan's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
bump old, but usefull thread.. DB1170 is R33 AND r32 GTS-T fronts.. yes, this is listed on the box for RB74 pads -
Oil filter, fuel filter is all same as R33.. spark plugs also. So just look these up in the maintenance section and you should be fine for ref, its DB1170 for fronts R32 GTS-T (exact same as R33).. and for rears I have DB1144 (although I only have single pot rear so I think this is same as non-turbo R32 rears).
