  1. Kids need to learn more respect for property, life, everything.. laws need to be harsher.. parenting should require an intelligence test ...
  2. Is it missing or otherwise sounding lumpy? Generally what happens if it detects irregular idling, it'll bump up the idle to compensate. Could be what's happening there. So could be nothing to do with the AAC.. Check the AFM as well.. give that a clean as well..

    poor guy

well sounds like they were obviously stuffing around / street racing.. who cares really..
  4. I agree, you'd have to be incredibly ****ing stupid to get caught these days.. on the goldcoast, that's not too difficult as the average crim is pretty damn thick, but it's rubbish.. cops get more money for funding $50,000+ police cars and defecting people rather than actually what I would call "policing", and that is chasing after people committing assault, theft, etc. Nobody has any respect for the police anymore. I could go on about how effectively the police handled the traffic out at Carrara the other night as an example, but it's pointless.. they're just worthless ill-managed monkeys..
  5. ahhh. that explains everything...
  6. I've seen a few around for $1500-ish
  7. they can get stuff from japan for you.. they're just being lazy shits.. R32 GTR was aussie delivered too
  8. smoke can't be good! you did have the remote wire powered up right?
  9. how long do you want to wait? I have an r32 I am half thinking of pulling off.. and changing for an RB25 one.. if I have somebody to pay $100 for the old turbo (minus wastegate) I could maybe speed this up a little .. no wine, shouldn't have hardly any shaft play (never seen past std. boost I would say).. but that's only if you want to stick another rb20det one on there..
  10. You can do what neil_se is saying and get the day pass... Or better/cheaper you are best off just paying 6 months or 12 months CTP rather than the exxy short-term rate, which you're going to have to anyhow. This allows you to drive it around on the day you are getting it registered. So as long as you can get it to the compliance place (one tow - less than $100 hopefully), the rest you can do legally with minimal cost. Technically, once it is complianced, you are allowed to drive directly to a place to get a roadworthy (or I assume roadworthy related items), and then straight to QLD transport to get it registered, as long as you have paid up CTP, a registration form filled out, and the other stuff you need. This is what I will be doing tomorrow
  11. just the revision number.. 45v1 is like I think the first R33, so around 93/94 or so, 45v2 is like 'later' series1.. till like about 95.. then 45v3 and 45v4 are like series2 from 95 up until 98. But I might be wrong. They say that the series2 ones are meant to be nylon exhaust wheel .. but mine is steel front, ceramic back, so I don't really think that is always true. Maybe the very last one (a 45v5 ?) of the r33 s2's are nylon exhaust wheel.
  12. Interesting comparison.. You would also in some ways have to take into account the force of mass.. so the heavier the car, the larger stopping force required. It is possible the differences between the different types may be more pronounced in differently weighted cars?? Also I notice that in the second comparison, the differences do become a bit larger - so faster speed = more difference between "std" setup, and the fancier stuff? At 200km/hr - 250km/hr would be interesting ... Also 10-15 feet difference .. that is 4m .. that's roughly 1 1/2 car lengths. One car length built every corner just on braking.. etc No mention of the time between runs though? 1 minute? 30 seconds, 10 minutes? I remember when I took my old pov spec R31 on the track last year, with just 4 wheel discs, standard factory single pots, and cheapish Ferrodo pads, and only some (new) cheapish Castrol 5.1 fluid, it held well enough for braking not to be an issue. No brake fade, no massive problems, and by a few laps the fluid was still cool enough to touch. Although mind you it had trouble getting up to much past 150km/hr on the straight could have a bit to do with it. I would really like to see a comparison.. from 100km/hr, take a WRX, Skyline, and say something like a big "standard issue" large Merc, and a few very average "family hacks" (like 1600kg commos with single pot brakes) and put them in a similar test.. 5km/hr over kills? depends what car you're driving doesn't it.. I think it could be quite controvercial, but make people seriously think about some things regarding the current "big topic" of road safety.
  13. huh? if u do the cigarette lighter light like fanny says.. it will turn on when your lights are on.. easy done.. tap it baby..
  14. Wanna save 5kg? dump the spare.. done.. cost = free.. they are mainly rice, but they can look good, esp. on skylines..
  15. My last bosch was a "910" - the part number ended in 910.. no idea where it was made.. doubt that makes a difference to the part number, as they're meant to be universal I'd imagine..
  16. thanks for the advice.. I am pretty sure it's back on one of the actual hose connections (can see it dripping from them), rather than near the thermostat housing, but we'll see. But yeah, that is the one I'm pretty positive is gone. Probably half a days work to get it all off and fixed up, so working my way up to it
  17. Thanks for the tip.. I just want a cheapie.. So supercrap has them?
  18. I like the idea.. but can't be next weekend as I have other plans.. but in future, could be fun.. drive to NSW or something? lol..
  19. check my gallery.. there is a few pix in there.. that one there is a 45v4.. I also have a 45v3 sitting around, and it's exactly the same.. the earlier ones look pretty much identical as well.

    Leaving VIC!

should be right for locus' .. i drove back around xmas time to melb and back, and there were stuff all, except just over the VIC border. I drove just after sunset too... although you do get more bugs at night because they love splattering themselves on the headlights .. the kangas are the things you need to watch out for at dawn/dusk. locus aren't as bad as they make out, well anyhow, not that I saw..
  21. you might want to look at this thread, as it kind of covers the exact same thing you're asking.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=62408

    Leaving VIC!

You could also try a few of the forsale forums.. trading post, etc as well. Didn't take me too long actually. It's surprising what you can fit in a R33.. you can stack up a heap of boxes across the back seat.. You do get a nice collage of bug splatters.. took me months to get the damn bugs outta the front bar and cooler! Stone chips aren't too bad as long as you don't sit up the ass of cars should be right. just remember don't park at the side of the road and leave the door open or this may be the result:
